Jira Angel πŸ˜‡

When THE Gun Atthaphan walks into the room with those wings... Cinema, darling! Iconic! Epic! Weightless! Otherworldly! Breathtaking! πŸ§‘β€πŸ³πŸ˜˜

A vision born of longing, not reality.

Koh's need made visible.

That dream sequence is probably the best I've seen in a long time. It shows how much Jira has become a source of comfort for Koh. Like when he's at his breaking point, his mind and thoughts go straight to Jira. A little obsession on his path, but at least he's real about it. 🀣

But the chemistry, too! Even in a surreal dream sequence, OffGun's chemistry plays out beautifully. It's dancing, it's sizzling, it's teasing!

These episodes are so beautifully shot, that they can pass for mini-movies.

Yes, but back to Jira Angel.

When the creature is first revealed, I loved how the camera slows down to revere its "existence". This creature can stand side by side with another creature that's been on my mind during this scene: Lestat (Tom Cruise's Lestat in 'Interview with the Vampire". I accept no other Lestat).

Lestat and Jira Angel are fantasies before they're people despite both of them being quite the opposite of each other. Lestat is erotic. He moves, invades spaces; Jira Angel is like a soft visitation. He's been chosen and not the other way around.

Lestat is Louis' fantasy of freedom; Jira Angel is Koh's fantasy of intimate comfort. The moment Lestat appears, Louis's fate is sealed; same goes for Koh. The kicker? In both cases, the fantasy precedes the reality β€” and the reality can never live up to it. πŸ˜”

But where Lestat refuses to be human, Jira Angel is doomed to become human. Because that angel falls, disappoints, and hurts people. He's a big, bright red flag when he's not angelic in Koh's dreams.

While Lestat's beauty (and TC was so beautiful that sometimes the screen couldn't contain his beauty) is a promise of damnation; Jira's angelic beauty is a promise of salvation that reality cannot keep.

Both entrances tell us the same thing: when desire arrives as something unreal, the fallout is inevitable. However, unlike Lestat, Jira never asked to be "worshipped".

Lestat choose divinity and revels in it; divinity is chosen for Jira. So in a sense, one devours worship while the other is devoured by it albeit unknowninly.

I've also looked at the scene from a mythical angle hence why I chose Lestat. Tom's Lestat survives because he embraced the myth; Jira is trapped inside one.

Alexa, play "Send Me Angel" by Real Life.

Rose petals kissing Koh 🌹

My utmost favorite scene from episode 5 was the descending rose petals scene. Koh sleeping. Rose petals blowing in the wind, so is Jira's hair. The song. The petals landing to softly kiss Koh's sleeping form. Inspiration lit.

That was a showstopping moment! That was visual poetry! To commemorate the moment, I've been writing short free verses so I'll share one here:

Koh gently sleeps, the wind
whispers -
rose petals falls to kiss his still form,
Inspiration awakens,
A perfect hush.

The scene recalls art where sleeping figures were surrounded by flowers and there are MANY I've seen! It brings to mind the paintings from Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Koh is like a Pre-Raphaelite saint.

Rose petals 🌹

THAT scene is perhaps the scene that's going to stay with me long after the show is over. I can't get over the rose petals gently falling and kissing Koh's artful sleeping form. πŸ§‘β€πŸ³πŸ˜˜

I don't know if there's any symbolism behind the scene, but with THAT song playing in the background, it feels and reads like love arriving without consent. πŸ’š

Roses are classic symbols of desire, romance and devotion and those aren't just any roses, they're Jira's. Earlier on, Koh offers Jira a rose to apologize. Later on, Jira's rose petals lands and covers Koh.

It's like affection descending rather than being pursued.

But the scene still needs to be studied even deeper. A burden is not being lifted here, it's literally being carried. It's like Koh's being blanketed by symbols of feeling he doesn't know how to carry.

Petals are not meant to last. Whatever is happening between Koh and Jira is beautiful in the moment, but fragile on the surface.

Another angle I looked at is how roses are given - and I keep going back to Koh giving Jira the rose. In this scene, Koh is asleep, and here, they fall, a gesture Koh isn't in control of. It's like he's visually positioned as vulnerable.

It's like Koh is drenched in love but he doesn't know how to return it for he's emotionally unequipped to hold onto it. I mean, he did cry at the painting.

Exactly. he's taking his time with that, but he was easily able to finish Koh's drawing in no time. The difference…
Same! My overall favorite scene this episode was the rose petals poetically kissing Koh.

Lol I just realized that too! All he talks about with Ing is Koh and how much of a jerk he is, but never once…
Forgive Jira the impotency around Pheem. 🀣
On Burnout Syndrome Jan 3, 2026
Differences: Koh vs Pheem 🧏

1) Koh knocks on Jira's door. And I know that he was uninvited, but he looked so good in Jira's room/space. Like he just fits.

Pheem didn't knock. He barges right in and is angry to see Jira drawing his boss.

2) Koh is flower illiterate! 🀣 But I love how thoughtful he was in gifting Jira a rose to apologize for Pee Gate.

Pheem puts flowers in Jira's hair. I just realized that if Jira is an Angel for Koh, the he's a fairy for Pheem.

3) Jira can easily draw Koh.

Jira struggles to even draw Pheem's face.

It's nothing, but those were just the differences I noticed in the fifth episode.

Exactly, because he wants to dislike Koh so bad 🀣

To be honest, I got stuck on Jira's entrance as the dreamy angel and made notes comparing his ethereal visual to that of the one and only Lestat.

Highlight: Saint and his father πŸ’”

Saint loves his father, but he also loves Ice.

I was mad at the dad and how things played out between him and his son, but there was a lesson to be learned from their relationship. Saint is not giving up on his father. He has respect, patience, and affection for his dad. He shows that he still wants to be part of the family, but right now, he's hurt. Hurt that his father still treats him like a prized possession rather than a son.

At the end of the day, he is still Saint's dad. It's up to him if he accepts his son and looks for forgiveness because although Saint loves and recognizes him as a father, Saint is an adult capable of seeking and wanting a life for himself.

Saint's happiness isn't negotiable.

One more episode to go. Let's see if the dad would come to his senses before it's too late. There's nothing for Saint to forgive, but on the dad's path, he needs to reel it in if he doesn't want to lose his son... And the prettiest son in law he's going to ever have! πŸ˜‚

Highlight: Ja's eyes πŸ‘€

I love Saint's eyes when he sees Ice coming into his room like the baddie that he is. Ja's eyes in this scene were expressive, showing signs of relief, love, and awe all at once when his eyes land on Ice. You can feel the profound relief that his partner chose to be there for him in that moment.

It was beautifully portrayed!

Ja didn't need dialogue because everything he wanted to convey was spoken through his eyes. Not many actors can do this. I love how the camera lingered just a little as if to tell the audience, "Watch the emotional release through the eyes of Saint as he finally has his person with him."

I've heard about Ja before, but this is my first time watching him and I do like what he brings to the table. His looks reminds me of a young, boyish Tom Cruise. Just not going to watch his old shows, though. I'm fine with JaTae.

I love Tae's voice! I can listen to it all day whether he's talking, singing or laughing. It's melodic. His voice just invites you in. It's warm, it's slightly airy, and it has this floating quality thing that just feels safe to sit with.

Ice looked FINE in that get up at the bar! FIONE!!! The color of that shirt looked so good against Tae's skin and the lighting?

The incident πŸ•΅οΈ

I forgot to post this note. I apologize for the spamming.

I think the killer chose the game Truth or Dare because it was linked to the incident that happened with the Avengers group. The victim was perhaps fueled by peer pressure - as it's often portrayed in many TV shows across the world and even crime thriller books - to complete a reckless dare in order to join the group.

While attempting this dare, the victim probably met with an accident, and to cover it up, everyone was sworn by secrecy. It's no wonder Champ and others could overlook a rapist like Tar, the secret of what they did was more important than Tar being a disgusting human being.

So the killer blows the dust off the game and brings it back. They'd die by the same mechanics as each person is being targeted based on their specific "crime" in the cover-up. Someone issued the dare, some probably cleaned the scene, and some perhaps provided false alibis.

About Champ 😎

I think he might be one of the final survivors. He seems to be the one in charge of doing the cover up. Based on his background, he has influence to keep everyone around him quiet. He looks like he doesn't care about his so-call friends; he just keeps them close so he can control their silence better.

If he stays alive, I think he would lose everything and suffer from a mental breakdown. I think I've been reading too much Thrillers. I'll go now and finish that James Patterson I've been meaning to.

Title Dare You to Death Spoiler
The Vigilante vs The Avengers🦸

I live for mysteries that are structured like a "whodunnit"! While it's still too early to call out the killer, for now, I've listed a few candidates.

As we've seen so far, the murders are centered around a twisted game of "Truth or Dare". So far, we've seen two of the Avengers dead. We know Tar's sin, but we still don't know Fai's. The killer is eliminating the group one by one.

Grudge: Based on what we have seen so far, the motive stems from a past incident involving the group that was covered up. The killer feels betrayed, so every man Jack is going to get his/her comeuppance.

Truth or Dare: a party favorite for many, this game is being used as justice to force the group to own up to their covered up crimes. The killer wants them to suffer through the choice of revealing the Truth or taking the Dare, which eventually leads to their death.

The victims: So far, we have Fai who was injected to death and Tar, a serial rapist.

The suspects πŸ•΅οΈ

I'm sure the black envelopes are sent by the killer.

Dr. Phut - I know in many shows, the doctor is the key to help the police to unlock the forensic truths, but this doctor feels off balance. Did something happen to a relative of his (perhaps a younger brother or sister) and the group covered it up?

I can't rule him out.

Jay - his brother, Jade is a police officer. Was stopped from calling the cops by Tar and Bell. I've labeled him the betrayer because he lives with a cop and knows how the police thinks. If he has a reason to kill, it might be that he's fed up of holding onto a secret that's driving him insane. He's either an accomplice or a victim.

Those are my two for now. I'm thinking that Champ will be too easy, but he can easily be the killer. Oh, perhaps Time or Bell, though I think I might be watching them get killed soon.

But you know what the SICKEST plot twist would be: if Champ and Dr. Phut are in cohorts and killing off the group one by one.

Theories are subject to change according to how future episide goes.

Boun appreciation:

This is perhaps the best I've seen Boun thus far since I started to pay attention to him. His wardrobe? Sexy! His aura? Sexy! His hair! Sexy! His profession? Sexy! πŸ§‘β€πŸ³πŸ˜˜

Boun is out here looking as if he stepped right out of a noir thriller and I am LIVING!

I have to be honest though, had Boun not been casted in this series, I wasn't bothering to watch. I need to stop following Boun around like a loyal puppy. The pacing (slow, atmospheric) allows for us, the viewers, to focus on Pleng's confusion/story. I've used the time to conjure up theories and it was fun! 😊

Unraveling the melody of the secrets. Pt. 2 πŸ•΅οΈ

* Killer #1: Pleng's mother.

I have a feeling that she's faking the state that she's in. She killed Thunphob, but for what? Why? Was it an accident? Does Mile know and is willing to go to any lengths to protect Pleng from that truth that his mother is a monster?

Killer #2: Botpleng.

Is he is the one who actually killed Thunphob? Maybe they had a fight? Maybe it was self-defense? Maybe it was an accident? Perhaps Mile witnessed the killing and has been suppressing Pleng's memories to keep him from knowing he's the actual killer. But the timeline doesn't fit. πŸ€”

* Back to Mile: he just dropped the BIGGEST confession in his life: he has loved Pleng for what, ten years? So he's been lying to the person that he claims to love for so long? When he confesses like that, the secret is finally out, but it doesn't free him from whatever prison he put himself in.

He manipulated Pleng for so long by hiding evidence or drugging Pleng to suppress memories, that it'd be wrong to root for him. I guess if this theory holds true, Mile was doing it out of his own version of loyalty, albeit twisted.

Or ... And this is a big OR... Did Mile make a promise to Thunphop regarding Pleng promising to shield him from whatever secret of Pleng's family was uncovered by Thunphop? Eh, that's an ugly reach ... But I reached! πŸ€ͺ

* Mile... Again! I guess all roads lead back to this man. What if Mile and Jen are the ones behind Pleng's suppression? Jen is a doctor. Could she have treated Pleng years ago and discover something wrong with his brain? She chooses to protect her family while Mile chooses to protect Pleng? πŸ€”

Or is the grandmother in cohorts with Mile?
