okay the whole situation is explained perfectly in this video : https://www.douyin.com/video/7110952473136844040I…
Then stop adding. You can't make people agree with your point of view and calling them racist and sinophobic won't make them. We just want to enjoy a story without the need of social justice. What if the writers got inspired by chinese culture? It's still a good story. Enjoy it or move on. Use that time to watch stories you like
Come on. Almost everything you see is inspired by something else and you don't see people crediting everything everywhere. What if people think their idea is completely original? Let them be. It's not like the writers are claiming they made it from scratch. That's absurd knowing almost everything is done by now.
Do you also want people to admit "copying" other dramas when they use a cliché?
Y'all should stop living in your feelings and use some logic sometime. They took elements from different places and made a great story. Enjoy it or move on
I don't know when you guys started to feel like you have the right to cancel people/series. It gives y'all a sense of importance and power I guess.
It used to be inspiration and people have been doing it for years with classic stories and lot of other things. Till 2000 something when it became cultural appropriation.
There it goes the end of innovation, when you can't get inspired by different cultural elements
It's not about the endgame, it's about the ending. A good ending doesn't always mean being together. It has to…
I agree. Fencing was as important but I'm talking about priorities. He has a demanding job and he is ambitious, that's why he took any opportunity he was given. His job, a demanding job, was his priority and their relationship wasn't as important. He could have make time for her, for a call or something when he was in NY.
A relationship needs time and effort. You need to give up on things. NHD saw her mom's reflection in BYJ. There's reporters who live normal lives but BYJ was too ambitious. He chose his job over her repeatedly. She was right in breaking up

His priority was his job. A relationship needs both people to invest time and effort. In life you come to the conclusion love is not enough. You want someone who won't put you always second.
As a person who has seen a lot of dramas in the past two years, with happy, sad and open endings- yes, I do agree…
I put myself in her shoes and somebody saying they love me and not proving it with actions (priorities) would mean nothing to me. I'd make the same decision.
Heartbreaking ending but I liked it. I assume she is happy and so he is
Definitely my sentiments now. I read on twitter that the reason Jiwoong and Yurim persevere was because they communicated,…
Jiwoong and Yurim worked because their relationship was Jiwoong's priority. He found a part time job just to go see her. And later she left her career and moved back (I assume is partially because she wanted to be with him). BYJ's priority was his job. NHD knew that and made a wise decision moving on
Am I the only one who actually liked the ending? Clearly BYJ's priority was his career. She made a good decision in that moment. He was going to prioritize work over their relationship in the future too. His family lost all so he needed to succeed to help his family reunite, which he did.
The second couple worked because MJW's priority was their relationship. The moment he found out about KYR leaving to Russia, he found a part time job in order to be able to travel to see her. KYR lately reciprocated this by moving back to Korea. It makes sense to me.
The problem of the main couple is their priorities. BYJ didn't have time for a relationship, and NHD didn't want the crumbs. She made a good decision. A hard one but a good one. Once you mature, you understand that it requires a lot more that chemistry and love to maintain a relationship going. It's better for her to marry someone who wants to invest in their relationship, instead of someone who will always put her in second place.
tbh i feel so bad for hyunsung and the kids the most. i think his feelings and actions felt the most valid. can't…
agree with you. Also Hae Won should have let go and forgive Hui Joo not because she deserved it, but because forgiveness is something you do for yourself. I wished a great life lesson for the ending.
Maybe I'm a idealist, but I would have loved the ending to be a forgiveness story. I like none of the characters, but as Iike the actress, I would have loved if Hae Won would move on and realize it's not worth it. Hui Joo didn't deserve a happy ending but I wanted Hae Won to be truly free.
Even if she started painting again and is successful, she will never be happy.
Forgive and let go is the best thing someone could do for themselves, even if others are not sorry. That would have been a great lesson for a great drama (except the ending)
I left this comment below on someone's reply but I want to post it here too.The flow of the show feels messy but…
I don't know. I actually love it. I mean it's not your typical romcom full of action, the dialogs are pretty heavy here. It reminds me of Run on. I'm a fan of good characters (DK and MM are such interesting and multidimensional, I'm curious about what they will do next) and meaningful conversations, and I got both of them here. Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but that's okay. Choose to watch what you like.
And on the LHG plotline, I think the team leader implied it wasn't her he was pitying, but LHG.
