I didn't like this either but not for the same reasons as you. I didn't like it because of the repetitive story telling (they would keep breaking up and getting back together). I just wanted them to be together and say screw everyone else yet the FL would always backtrack on her determination to be with him. We are not here to live for others or make others happy because guess what! Even if we do all the right things there's no way to make everyone happy. They will always have something to criticize or pick us apart for. We are here to grow and help others grow and to spread love.
I dropped this after episode 5 and skipped to the last episode because of the repetitive story telling. At the start of every episode they exclaim their undying love for eachother and how nothing will tear them apart, but by the end of the episode there's some reason (usually guilt for the impact their love has on those around them) that they split up. This kind of incessant story structure might have been okay if the series was shortened to 6 episodes, but not for 11. I didn't even trust the last scene when we were left to assume they'd end up together, because I'm sure something else will just come up to make them separate for the thousandth time. I lost all emotional involvement in them because of the writer's repetitiveness. I'd say skip this.
I feel like the ending was a bit disjointed from the vibes and feel of the first half of the movie. It went in an unexpected direction towards the end that I think took away from the quality of the story a bit. I liked the part when they were in highschool together, though.
Enjoyed this one, a lot. I tried to watch it about a year ago but dropped it after 1 episode (don't remember why). Really glad I came back to it because I binged the whole thing!
I really really enjoyed this. Once I figured out where it was going I tried to remain detached from the characters but ended up bawling my eyes out anyways. Gosh this was frustrating to watch! Poor Oba :(
I really can't say enough good things about this drama. When I saw the comments on here saying such good things about it, I didn't want to get my hopes up, but it is all true! This is the sweetest most precious thing I have ever seen and I will be rewatching it. The writing, casting, and character development was just perfection. My favourite was Byeok Soo. The actor was so charming and endearing you just can't help but fall in love with him and wish him the best! I feel all this needed was one more episode to give his back story a bit more. Really glad I came across this and I HIGHLY recommend!!
They really captured the love element, which was nice. I was disappointed overall, however, because I was expecting there to be more sexual energy between the mother and husband as bad as that sounds. It didn't really feel taboo or scandalous because they never technically comitted infidelity. There's no crime in loving someone! Like, there was no actual cheating going on here. A kiss or two here and there would have spiced things up and made the story even more impactful. This is all fictional, remember. I don't condone cheating irl, nor the act of romanticizing it. I love stories about love, and a lot of the time we love those society says or deems we shouldn't. To put a seal on Yoon Ha and Jung Bun's love, there really needed to be more physical intimacy, but there wasn't a drop shown on screen! Really sucks cuz I was rooting for them, tbh. Love is so damn rare, when you find it like those two did, you gotta hold onto it for dear life. He needed to divorce his wife and marry his true love; the mother. It's still a decent watch.
