does anyone know movies similar to this?? i watched it yesterday and i feel empty ㅠㅠ
This might be a bit of a stretch but these Dangerous Liaisons adaptions might be similar in terms of pretending to love someone; Untold Scandal (2003) Dangerous Liaisons (2012) Tempted (2018)
They are all basically about a womanizer who makes a bet with someone about whether or not he can seduce a really virtuous girl. In the process of pretending to love her, however, he realises he might actually be falling in love. They are similar to Method because of the mind games, the pretend relationships, the fact that its hard to tell what someone is really feeling (if they really love the other person or not). They are not BL unfortunately. It's really hard to think of a movie that is similar to Method because it's so unique x_x
Oh, and maybe Night Flight (2014)? That one is BL.
I think I might understand what you mean there - Tae Gyung never does feel as grounded or as a real person as…
Yeah, that pretty much hits the nail right on the head. I didn't feel that Tae Gyung was special enough for all the attention he was getting from Da On and Shin Woo. I was onboard with Tae Gyung's demeanor for the first few episodes but then it never relented. It says something that I felt more connected to his character during the bloopers at the end of the very last episode than at any other point in the show.
Can’t believe the 3 main leads are 25, 26, 27 years old. Without checking (for those who dont know this yet),…
That's nothing! You should look up Jung Won Chang from The Uncanny Counter and Shark: The Beginning. He's 31 and looks like a 17 year highschooler. I've never been so shocked in my life when I found out his age.
This was so great! Just when it was getting a little boring around the middle they kicked it up into high gear. I was a little annoyed with the actor playing Tae Gyung, I'm not sure why. I just found his acting and chemistry with the ML's a little flat. I know he's supposed to be acting a certain way because his character is a loner, but I don't think that's the whole reason. Anyways! that was my only issue with this series. Everything else was perfecto.
I was getting Orphan (2009) vibes from this film. The last quatre of the movie felt a bit flat but the rest of it was pretty interesting. I wasn't sure where things were heading for the most part and it's always a pleasure to watch Tanaka Kei. I feel like the writers should have made the father and daughter even more scary/psychotic, or taken more time to build up the mystery and potential for their craziness and how the step-mom got drawn into it. They could have done a lot more with examining the Dad's psychology, as well. I liked it overall. I don't think the ending fit quite as well as it could have had the writers taken the time to develop the step-mom and father's characters more. If they made this into a drama, I would definitely watch.
hi! i'll give you my personal thoughts. well, the title means peter pan dream, we can see minha drawing peter…
I really appreciate your replies! When I went back over the film with the understanding that he killed himself in the end it gave it a whole new deeper feeling, so thanks! I would have to agree with you that I think he died at the end. I was confused at first too by the girls saying he was missing, but everything considered he probably definitely killed himself. I knew that something didn't feel right when I thought that he just up and disappeared or left town or something, but I couldn't figure it out. I thought it was such a weird way to end the film. Now it makes total sense.
