He’s doing this to protect them. By being the final fighter he ensures that Uk can win. Either Uk will win on his own or Yul will let him win at the last moment. Yul said he wanted to take her home with him because he knows that will motivate Uk. Yul is being given a bad edit to create suspense!

Yul won’t let UK lose. I think he’s using the “I want to take someone back with me” to motivate UK. Yul loves UK and wouldn’t be the cause of him losing the fight or Naksu.

Mark my words….. UK will win the fight either on his own accord or because Yul at the last moment will let Uk win. This is Yul’s way of ensuring that Uk wins. It’s smart!

The drama is really one part that they split into 2 only for government regulatory reasons. They film the entire drama as one whole season so they usually don’t “split it in half” with any regard to the plot. The last episode of Part 1 and the first episode of Part 2 aren’t separate seasons or parts. It will all just air like it’s 1 long drama.
