They are called Poisonous LOVERS Bug.The terms of the bug giver are not murky. It's stated right there: There…
why are your replies to me always unhinged!!!!!
breathe!!!!! LOVING someone and being IN LOVE are two diffferent things!!! At no point is it said the two parties have to be IN LOVE. sharing love and mutual affection can mean MANY things and levels of love. That is a major distinction that you seem to ignore and flip out over!!!! My lord can we chillax please. it’s not healthy to make a fictional character a whole personality!!!! And again, we are discussing the SHOW version of the plot not the book version.
I'm not inclined to attack or write an essay. About the last point on timing, XL was physically the furthest away…
in the show it seems like they show him feeling it very late into the assassination. which delayed him reaching her. As soon as she was attacked I expected to see a scene of him holding his heart and that didn’t come for awhile and I was surprised because I knew she was isolated and alone and thought oh perfect XL can feel her he will know immediately!
Could i know why the need for Xuan to attack Haoling pleaseeeee?
I LOVE Ru Shou and wish he had way more scenes and wish him and A’Nian wasnt obsessed with CX and she and Ru Shou were together. From my understanding naming Ru Shou heir would still lead to a likely instability and fight for thrown which CX doesn’t want to see a repeat of from previous Haoling throne fight. IDK
Since we have nothing but time until new episodes on Monday let’s analyze what the *SHOW* says about the bugs.
First. In the show they are called *Love Poisonous bugs* in translation as well as “Couple bugs”. Show XY seems to not know very much about them or that they require any kind of affection from the receiver. In episode 12 season 1 we see the scenes of XL and old man Lirong Uncle discuss how to remove them this is what is said:
“The male and female are equal in power and the one who places them won’t be able to control the bugs”
“Mostly women raise the bugs for their lover, for eternal love and loyalty”
“Once planted, the couple will live and die together.”
“If there’s no love between the couple will it still work?”
“No no it won’t. However, the magic is mysteriously unpredictable so perhaps it is possible.”
“It will lead to endless troubles. The couple not only can’t live together, they might even be killed by the poisonous bugs.”
“The planting of the bug relies on affection and so does its removal.”
“If it hasn’t been planted for long and is not yet stable it can be transferred to another person. But this person (it is transferred to) must have love in their heart.”
The terms of the Bug receiver are made very clear but the terms of the bug giver are murky. And a bit frustrating. They make clear the receiver must have love in their heart for the giver and that they both must have some mutual affection. I wish they had made the terms of the bugs much clearer as the show progressed. For me the love bugs seem very symbolic and meaningful from Xl side but not as much from XY side. XL feels all of her heartache but she’s generally completely clueless about his feelings despite sharing the love bug.
One of the plot holes I found with the bugs (which I wonder is better explained in the book) is why when XY was being assassinated and tortured XL didn’t get to her to save her until she was already essentially dead for awhile but for the bug. Yes he was furtherest in distance yes logistically but the show could have shown a scene shortly after XY is attacked showing XL feel the pain. To my recollection she’s been tortured for a very long time before he feels something. Maybe I need to go back and rewatch but it felt like a let down that he only was alerted to something being wrong after she was nearly dead. This dynamic was interesting to me because while XY and TSJ did not share a bug he found her (yes I know he has tracking powers) but the writer made a choice to have him find her and shield her and die try to die with her) Metaphorically there is some beauty and poetry in that deep love connection without any bug playing a part. Their lives are purely connected through choice & free will without control from either party.
I am sorry to ask but why are you all supporting him. I am not able understand this character. He is weakest character…
I find this kind of question strange. it’s not about “supporting Jing” it’s about supporting XY and what will make her happy. Regarding Jing being weak. How is he weak???? This is a strange analysis to me. He survived torture that would have killed nearly anyone else. He survived the pain without even screaming when XY tried to put his pieces back together. He doesn’t fear anyone and will fight anyone to protect XY. So he’s no coward. He’s filial and loyal to his grandmother which is not weakness but respect. He was drugged and hallucinated into believing he was being seduced by XY yet was strong enough not to succumb to the desire and not sleep with FFYY. That’s the opposite of weakness if you understand men. BOTH He AND XY took a passive role to BabyGate so BOTH could be called weak on that score for not being more assertive & aggressive to get to the bottom of it but they both snap out of that and work together to expose the truth. JING is the one with the best chess skills and strategic thinking and nearly single handedly maneuvers CX to be able to become king. He stops XY wedding. Being kind and quiet & respectful does not equal “Weakness”. He is deeply flawed as is XY….. as are all of them but I think one of my issues with the criticisms here are that they aren’t in good faith. They are a matter of someone’s personal taste and people projecting their own taste in men into YaoYao who loves 3 men in 3 different ways. And none of them are weak.
AH explained it in depth here:https://kisskh.at/discussions/lost-you-forever/120191-are-cang-xuan-and-xiao-yao-blood-relatives-in-the-drama
Can you explain again? In S2 if is clarified that her mother is the legitimate biological daughter of Old King & Queen of Xaoling and XY is biological daugter. For political marriage XY becomes Princess of Haoling surrounded in rumors about paternal parentage so the Old Xiling King clarifies that he will make it clear that she is the “legitimate granddaughter” of Xiling. This isn’t about her mom being a disciple. Her mom is a biological Xiling. On the show.
No they are just cousins. Cangxuan's father is the elder brother of Xiaoyao's mother. They only called each other…
Yes correct thank you. It’s made much much clearer in the second half of the series that she is the legitimate granddaughter of the Xiling Old King & Queen and her mother is not a disciple but their daughter. And thus she IS CX blood cousin.
Could i know why the need for Xuan to attack Haoling pleaseeeee?
SO their is no “successor” for Haoling kingdom because the king had no sons and neither daughter was interested in ruling. Haoling is on the brink of instability if the current king, who rules with an iron fist dies. CX has some previous grudge against the King for being the reason CX father died. Haoling King obtained the thrown in a pretty ruthless way which is one of the reasons why he tries to be such a good loving father.
But mainly CX wants to unify the 3 Kingdoms to bring stability and peace and avoid what could come if Haoling king dies and there is a battle for the thrown. He thinks conquering it now is the better plan for the future of the Kingdom.
No they are just cousins. Cangxuan's father is the elder brother of Xiaoyao's mother. They only called each other…
I’m slightly confused by these replies can you clarify.
on the show ….. they seem to say she is the Xiling princess, daughter of Xiling King and sister of CX father. And CX was hostage prince to Haoling but calls Xaoling King master.
But here people are claiming that on the show she is only disciple of Xiling Grand Queen. I missed that. Am I misunderstanding show relationship that her mother and CX father are both children of XILING King & Queen and thus blood cousins.
No one is saying it’s not complex and that she doesn’t LOVE them all. in fact I repeatedly say she LOVES them…
I repeatedly make a distinction between the SHOW and the NOVEL.
The show is not the novel. For whatever reasons the show has some changes and this is a page for the show though I absolutely love commentary from the novel.
On the show, for whatever reason, maybe censorship, they have removed the romance and sexual nature at least from XY’s side in the blood sucking. And once she becomes Princess she only even lets him suck from her wrist/arm in the most unromantic from her side way.
According to the script for the show she will try to unalive herself over Jing and yet again be saved by XL who of course she has grown a deep deep love connection too but isn’t it one she finds dangerous and unpredictable and scary and unsafe? The love of the toxic bad boy with a heart of gold.
Regarding what the actors are saying……. “SHIPPING” Is a huge huge part of selling dramas and the actors almost ALWAYS play into multiple ships and are coy and leave open lots of room for fans of different characters to enjoy their ships. So I don’t base much on fan service.
We have to wait and see if the drama adapts this part of the novel or not (from chapter 48), but in the novel…
I’ve read a number of interpretations/theories of the Robe on the shore and many of them don’t include it being her waiting specifically for XL or anyone particular and someone said their was an interview with the writer who said it wasn’t about XL but I don’t recall where I saw it. I have no insight into what was in XY’s head on the shore other than clear reluctance to marry FLong.
I DO think she wanted someone, anyone to come rescue her from her bad decision and to stop the wedding before it happened but at least for me…. via the show….. her willingness to marry XL/FFB at that time when she still thinks a life with Jing is impossible because of baby gate is a consolation prize type of situation where she will reluctantly and apprehensively be with XL if she cannot be with Jing. XL is her second choice.
Again this is *strictly* SHOW interpretation based on show XY.
*On the show* Jing is the only one she falls into a DEEP depression over and when she thinks he has been killed she decides she no longer wants to live and tries to unalive herself.

ok yes let’s see because they have not made that distinction on the show yet and that still seems to not constradict the idea that HE accepted wholeheartedly and HE is deeply in love. My only point I keep making is that her love via show is not shown to be the same *romantic* kind of IN LOVE love that they show for Jing. it is LOVE…… but a different kind.

I’m literally just watching the show. literally. that’s it. I’m a grown married woman I don’t obsess about FICTIONAL SHIPS. it’s so silly and absurd.

like what are some of you even saying.
