She wouldn’t have asked her mom the way she did if she was her sister “or that other woman” if she didn’t know something. She knows what JIN Bu Yeon 1.0 / Mudeok looked like, she knows her sister was actually physically Mudeok (Jin BY 1.0) and that her sister now does not look like Mudeok. So obviously she knows it’s not totally her sister. Common sense.

When people said asked if she would appear they didn’t mean in flashback scenes re-used from Part 1. They meant with new scenes lol

She knows but sort of pushes aside that Naksu is fused with her sister and that her sister is consciously dead but is able to physically live via Naksu’s energy & soul. So she cares for her as her sister but knows deep down that she’s Naksu living in her sisters body. Basically she’s in denial along wither mother but knows deep down something is up.

When he said she would die he meant her consciousness. A living body is clearly still a living body. Her consciousness is just gone. So she’s not dead DEAD. She took Naksu’s energy and her body fused to NAKSU’s energy ie: they are a fusion in which Naksu’s conciousness and energy inherit Bu Yeons physical structure and body with her Jin powers.

Please show me where I say it’s a fusion of two **souls**

This version does not have her original body at all. To the point that Jin Mu can look dead at her and she looks so dissimilar to Naksu 1.0 that he realizes she’s not the same.

So again, this is a magic show and it’s made clear her body is very different and she only resembles Naksu 1.0

This is a new person. Her memories are only a part of that. This isn’t a soul shifter situation it’s a completely different merging of one persons body + one persons “ENERGY”. He never says soul. He says they have to use Naksu’s “Energy” to save BY body and that it will morph her into looking like Naksu with Naksu’s energy & memories/personality (that he’s completely erased)

So she isn’t OG Naksu. She has Naksu’s personality & memories FUSED with Jin BY priestess powers and housed in Jin Bu Yeons physical body.

You can see it how you want but it’s pretty clear they are making it known she is NOT Naksu 1.0 she’s similar and mostly Naksu 1.0 but OG Naksu is dead…. 2.0 is similar but not exactly the same.

Jin Mu was much much more familiar with her as an adult and it’s made clear in episode 3 that this version of “Naksu” ie Naksu 2.0 does not look exactly like Naksu 1.0. Her face is very similar however her body is much smaller, shorter, more delicate and built different and it’s made clear that she does not look exactly like Naksu 1.0 to people who knew her because of the Master Lee magic fusion of Bu Yeons body /Physical structure + Naksu’s energy fusing into a BuYeon Naksu hybrid with Naksu’s face.

It’s far fetched but we have to just accept it. So Yul only saw her adult face after she died and really never knew her as an adult …… makes sense if Jim Mu dismissed her being Naksu that Yul wouldn’t have a clue.

It is not similar to a brain transplant LOL this is a magic show. Don’t apply real world science to this. There are multiple reasons they are now a fusion. Her consciousness is only one factor.

Am I the only one who thinks the only path forward is Naksu 2.0 **HAS** to live as Jin Bu Yeon now?

1. She **literally** is no longer Cho Yeong or Naksu. She **literally** is now a fusion of Cho Yeong + Bu Yeon = “Bu YEONG” . She IS two people now blended into one.

2. Jin house MUST have strong backing. Even if she marries Jang Uk and is no longer heiress, Jin house stays in their control because of her powers & Uks strength.

3. Naksu could and would never ever be accepted in Daeho world to live a peaceful life. Naksu as a persona is gone and buried and must stay buried and SHOULD stay buried because her life was miserable and never ever hers. She was a molded manipulated murderous assassin. Goodbye Naksu.

4. She can’t go back to 1.0 Cho Yeong because that little girl was not a priestess with Jin Priestess powers and had a different body.

So conclusion…….. living as Jin Bu Yeong 2.0 with only Master Lee, Jin Mama, & Uk (and probably Yul) knowing the truth is the best path forward for the safety of all. Maybe that’s not what people watching wanted but for me, it makes the most sense and provides at least some minimal justice to OG Bu Yeon who lives on with her as the body & power and isn’t wasted as a character. She NEEDS to stay Jin Bu Yeon/Yeong permanently because despite her memories being Naksu/MuDeoks, her body and powers are Jin Bu Yeons. And she needs to help keep Jinyowon strong & safe and needs to be recognized as a Jin in order to do that.

You will see in later episode they explain it away by the new Naksu actually being a fusion of Jin BY body - ie- Jin BY shape, style, walk, posture, size & delicacy so that she doesn’t look exactly like Naksu 1.0.

Naksu 2.0 has Naksu 1.0’s facial structure but her body is technically Jin Bu Yeons body so it’s built completely differently which makes her seem “familiar” to people who saw Naksu, but clearly a different person.

I think he definitely knows it’s not her fault but if it were me and I killed my husband, the guilt would be overwhelming and I would still blame myself even knowing that someone used magic on me. I think most people would react that way. It will suck for her 💔

The biggest question for me is this: Will BuYeon (Naksu) be able to get over and understand that Uk loves her (Mudeok Naksu) and doesn’t hold her responsible for stabbing him, or will BuYeon Naksu not be able to handle what she did to him under magic bell and push Uk away….. and we see how everyone hates Mudeok (Naksu) for stabbing Uk (and others) so how will they reconcile themselves once it’s revealed she is Mudeok. And furthermore, that Mudeok Naksu was actually Cho-Yeong and a victim of Jin Mu nearly her whole life. This will be A LOT for people to believe and accept and understand to be able to forgive. But my guess is that some won’t believe and accept that it was Jin Mu’s manipulation & magic that controlled her and forgive her but she will somehow have to save a lot of people to win back everyone who hates her…….

An utterly f****ed up situation for her and I wish she could stay amnesiac and happy forever because it’s gonna be a whole world of hurt for her once all those memories are restored.

I probably teared up/cried 3 times in this episode. I know many people wanted action and badass Naksu but for me it was always the love story between these two that was the heart and soul of the show and the more of this I get, angsty and all, the more I love it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lee Jae Wook is just so good in so many ways in everything he does, every role he plays, every nuance in every character…. I forever swoon & stan.

Oh also, f*** the Queen I hope she gets stuck in her rotted body and dies a horrible death.

P.S. I like the way she got the blue egg back. I wondered how they would handle this after him clearly having both at the end of Part 1 and him burying it with her fake grave and her finding it the way she did was one of their better plot points!

I love the people in the comments leaving all the “In case you’re still confused” explanations as if there is ANY sense to this plot development which is absolutely ridiculous nonsensical hocus pocus that gives us Naksu’s soul with the EVER POWERFUL JBY soul having to die yet her body somehow maintains the Jin powers yet the body has now transformed using Naksu’s energy to look like Naksu.

I am thoroughly enjoying the show and have no complaints however it’s a little much for people to be acting like this is totally fine and makes sense and people shouldn’t be like 🤔🤪🫠😵‍💫🥴?????

The repeated “The body is my daughter!” Line is literally peak absurd yet here we are and we will accept it and enjoy it because this cast is gorgeous and great and making it make sense left the building a long time ago lol

I personally love it this way but understand. This show has never really really gone that route and I don’t think it’s Hong sisters style …… I agree that a different darker version of this whole universe would be amazing too though.
