it won't ruin it haha. it's my favourite webtoon but this is presented quite differently, especially since it's a musical, you won't compare the two. give it a try, you may not love it because it's not exactly like the webtoon but you will like it enough.

pls continue watching it gets more emotional and heavy as it goes on😊 first two eps hardly had anything emotional unless you are talking about the childhood alone because the emotional acting from the leads has been on point in the later eps.

maybe it's cuz I feel biased to Triple Star chef, but wouldn't it have been fairer to have all of them participate in the endless cooking hell? or better even have that as the final challenge.

if anything it's like the writer used DID as a plot device to just add in a love triangle. which is insane to me and plain disrespectful.

talking about unnecessary characters in this drama is a moot point. look at hyeyeon's character. nobody knows why she is listed as main and what even the point of her character is. the writing is extremely flawed, it's like nobody proofread it before producing the show.

i hope they release the OST played at the lighthouse scene soon! been playing it nonstop the last few days😩

i think the family dynamic is still very special in this drama. i don't think they have taken away that part at all, it's presented slightly differently but beautifully.

oh this was beautifully phrased 🥹 idk but i'm a sucker for romances where a character is the light in the life of the other haha. it's so pure to watch.

i think it's deliberate. sanha's father is more distant in this version, or less expressive. it adds a new dimension to his character. and we are getting his character development in ep6 where he opens up to his son gradually. plus this eliminates the weird angle when it comes to the romance between the two, they are children of close neighbours/friends like you said not necessarily brought up by two dads. the main focus is slightly diff between the two versions imo. meaning to say the focus is more on the kids and their growth.

but the wider idea still stands imo, that they are a family that has found eachother, since family isn't confined to a single definition.

afaik no not really a hit in Korea atleast ratings wise. kinda like true beauty ig where it was huge internationally but not so much in sk. I'm not sure about the good data rankings or buzz but youth dramas usually don't get high tv ratings in general, especially for mon-tues slots.

haha I'm just curious can you elaborate a bit why tho? because i thought the representation was pretty accurate for fans of popular boy bands and artists in general? not just kpop, even older western hip hop pop music bands etc?
