I have been watching Korean drama and movies since 2012 and have learned a bit Korean. I have also watched Chinese and a bit of Japanese ones.

I am bilingual and when I moved to US and watched American shows and movies it always felt like I was watching a different movie or show than the same one I saw in the country I was born in. The dialog was so different.

Now, it feels the same with what I am watching now. Why do translators get the urge to change the most basic dialog to something different when there is a perfect and direct translation? That makes me lose confidence in more complex dialogs. Sad, very sad and disappointing.

Forgive my venting and frustration.

If what you are saying about the subs being inaccurate is true, then that is very disappointing. So far I've not…
I am bilingual, and also know a little Korean. I simply do not like the idea of changing what is being said to something different, even if it gives the same idea, when there is a perfect direct translation.

For example, Good morning should be translated to Good Morning not to Hi.

This is what I mean by inaccuracy.

Yes, Netflix does it a lot, so do all the others.

Kudos to the actor who played the psychopath, he truly did a great job. Hopefully, he's not like that in real life 😂

Good drama with good message. Definitely not for everyone as it is not your typical Kdrama.

Unfortunately, the subs were very inaccurate. The translator decided to adlib. Guess didn't like what was being said by the actors.

Does anyone know where to watch this with relatively good subs? Kisskh has machine subs.

Thanks

This one is really good. Through out the drama I kept wondering about an issue, but they had a great ending answering it.

Highly recommended. Not your typical time travel. Very well written.

For better or worse, in the history (?) of C-Dramas, there was no situation when the FL is more powerful/more…
Yes, you are correct. Also, the "Oh My General" is the only one I can think of where the guy was a weakling.

Hello, did you watch "Oh My General?"

It's been a while since I saw that drama, which I actually enjoyed watching, but if my memory serves me right, she was much stronger than her husband.

We see it in all the comments, not just on this drama in particular: "Guys, leave your logic aside, forget…
😂😂😂 Well said!!!

It’d be really nice if the law worked as quickly in the real world.
I agree. They kind of did with the land case.

Yes :)

I am an old man, unfortunately, I have had my share of involvement with law cases :(

Definitely not a drama series for everyone since it's not your typical Korean drama.

But, I truly enjoyed it. It's very realistic in every sense, with the exception of cases being resolved so fast. In real life even cases which are settled quickly, they still take time.

The cases were very realistic, it had the whole range of cases where just like in real life the guilty gets away with it, the innocent gets punished, and everything in between, i.e., the innocent wins and the guilty gets punished.

Relationships were also realistic, between lovers, friends, coworkers, superiors, and subordinates. Not much over dramatization in anything, really.

Do I wish all dramas were like this one? Absolutely not. I enjoy variety, and I think it's good to have a variety to suit different tastes.

This drama has more holes than my large strainer, yet it is really good and super fun to watch. Not much different than a James Bond movie when it comes to logic :))

I enjoyed the first 5 episodes, but the last episode ruined it, Kaput!

Not the usual Kdrama. If you are open to something very different, then I recommend it. You might actually like the ending. I am glad I watched it.

I am really surprised at the high rating of this drama. Absolutely one of the worst writings I have seen. No logic in the story or decision making of the characters or flow of events.

My wild guess is that viewers rate these dramas based on how much they like the ML.

Though I’m one to never compare dramas I did drop that one. But not because of the script writer in the script,…
Yes, I agree.

That would definitely explain it since the first few episodes were good enough for me not to drop it.

Yeah, that was my very first comparison after hundreds of dramas. That's how awful and illogical that drama's production writing is.
