Who is stronger and more accomplished, General Feihong or General Fengyun?
Most C-dramas, probably because of the dictatorial Chinese government, are all very similar you think the woman is going to be a badass, but in the end she just becomes a housewife and gets saved by the male lead multiple times.

Yes, she was, but her husband wasn't strong at all. That's the conundrum.
The moment the husband or the love interest is a strong/powerful fighter on his own (as part of "Power Couple"), he will always be presented as the stronger one, typically leading to him saving the FL over and over again, making her look weaker and weaker in the end.

For better or worse, in the history (?) of C-Dramas, there was no situation when the FL is more powerful/more accomplished than ML if both are presented as strong fighters. "The Romance of Female General" of course, takes the same, safe approach.
Female Leads in "Journey to Love", "Princess Agents", "Who Rules the World", and many others were strong, but based on the number of times saved by the MLs and vice versa, injuries happening to them, ease of killing opponents and overall accomplishments, they were always weaker than Male Leads (sometimes not much, but still it was noticeable).
The moment someone presents me a Drama with a different dynamic, I would love to watch it . So far, it's only possible to watch it in Micro Dramas, and even there, it's extremely rare.
"The Queen of the Battlefield" is IMO the best example of how it could be done properly. When it the Big Dramas, the MLs are constantly saving supposedly Strong Female Lead from falling/getting defeated/injured/everything imaginable, just to progress Romance, the Male Lead in the "Queen of the Battlefield" made sure she would be using wooden stick instead of a Spear, just to make sure she won't kill the opponent she hates in public.
The noodles scene gave trolls a chance to showcase their talent in making a fuss out of small matters, and I say congratulations..
I'm tired so I won't say much but cooking is not chains for freedom, matter of fact it's a life skill every adult should have, so in a sense He Yan learning to cook is a way for "living outside of the battlefield", and it does not stop her from being a FEARED GENERAL because anyway it's between her and him, something intimate, showing love and care..
and I thought being a strong woman means doing whatever you want and makes you happy? what happened to feminism? why is it always a problem when a woman is doing what's (culturally) feminine even tho it's not in a sense of obligation but a hobby or love-language???

because, when you're scrolling through this app to find new things to watch, one of the first things you'll notice is the poster. the poster is meant to catch your attention and make you click on the series/movie. it also gives you an idea about the actors playing in it, and what the series is about. that's why it's important for some people. I don't like the new poster cause you can barely tell who the 2 people in it are. so yeah, that's mainly it
