Good Grief

I really enjoyed this drama a lot. The story was very fast paced (perhaps slightly too fast sometimes), which meant it never felt draggy to me. This is unusual for a drama with this many episodes. I often comment that a drama would have been better with less episodes, but not with this drama. The story was quite epic and was well told, although Hua Zhi's ninja-level horse charge of those assassins was a bit much. The cinematography was very good, although some of the CGI was not perfect. The costumes were excellent, and I especially appreciated the gorgeous hairpins and other jewellery the noble women were wearing.
Overall, very entertaining with VERY few boring bits, and plenty of inspirational and emotional scenes.

I’m really enjoying it. 🫶🏻 It’s way better than other ongoing shows (not going to name them because I’m “afraid” of hate). I think the cast is amazing with a good variety of ages and characters. I swear all people do on MDL anymore is pick apart leads. Like the concept of character development and subtleties that hint at it in the writing went out the window. FL is just automatically annoying, and if ML is not a glaringly obvious green flag then he’s either a stalker or a simp (sometimes both). I’m very surprised no one has called ML a creep or stalker yet since he looks at her window at night. Just wait I bet it’s coming.

I watched the episodes, I liked the vibe, I laughed and thought about the characters. So, I will continue to watch. I'm interested in how they will continue this storyline, and how the romance will develop. I particularly like the FL. She has a strong personality and that's different from what we're usually see in kdramas. Hope this continues to be this good until the end.

I think people are waiting for more episodes to be released. I am. 😊
