Why every cdrama with Korean actors have decade old comments.
They were filmed before Chinaās supreme idiots boycotted Korean products, entertainment included, and shelved a whole lot of existing projects like this, Jade Lovers, etc. that are still ācancelledā officially but may see the light of day like one that just got released with Park Min Young a āmereā 8 or so years later than originally slated to air.
(Not degrading Chinese *civilians,* to be clear⦠government officials do lots of things out of the interest of their nationsā peoples regularly ~all~ over the world, very often for VERY petty reasons akin to āIām gonna break your toys if you play with themā kindergarten tantrums⦠My general understanding, greatly oversimplified here, is that SK played too nice with the USA by using an American missile defense system, THAAD, in the wake of a lot of threats coming from North Korea in particular, Russia also NK allies, China saying it disturbed the ābalance of powerā which is code for ālittle country should be vulnerable to attacks and need China to be the big brotherā as far as I can tell [since the defense system has no warheads etc so poses zero threat to China]⦠so China stomped and huffed and held the dramas hostage, in turn denying their own people not only entertainment but the economic benefits of those productions. I just hope the ones who made it got paid for their work.)
EVERY country does it to each other.. China esp has NO grounds to stand on when it comes to stuff like this...
Yeah. as much as I enjoy Chinese dramas... The anti Japanese propaganda is very veryyyyyyyyyyyy strong in their Republican dramas. Do Chinese care if people complain about it?
My favorite is the "trampling on the flag" bit. hahaha If the carpet in the still above is the one the article mentions, there are a lot more than five stars. God, what dimwits. Fake "controversies" over shit like this are one of the most bizarre things I encountered when I got hooked on Asian cinema/dramas six years ago. I'm still not used to it.
I was hoping this would be a cute slice of life, but nope...
Love her so muchhhš«¶š»
