The series doesn't resonate with you and that is fine and understandable. Everyone has their preference. But calling someone's work garbage is a bit too much, don't you think ?

She lived with her husband for 20 years, and it’s obvious she loved him. Do you really think it makes sense for her to fall in love while she’s still investigating the truth about his death? I’m not saying she can’t ever love again, but making her fall for someone immediately after his passing just makes her look shallow and childish, and that doesn’t fit her character .

Many K-dramas, webtoons, and other content are inspired by real-life events; sometimes reality is even scarier, and more surprising than fiction.

He didn't wait. He moved to the USA 20 years ago. He will have noticed her due to the buzz around "Marry My Husband" and was (understandably imo) upset.

It was the production team, who didn't get the school files, which makes sense. The police should be able to get them if needed.

The people in the comments trying to justify bullying are disgusting. Instead of immediately taking the actress' side, the more moral thing to do is wait for the investigation results. Either way accusations do not come from thin air, in this case it seems that there is truth to it

My gosh it feels so similar to what is shown in the drama ' the glory ' park yeon jin became a big celebraitiy but after sometimes her dark truths of past were coming out of sudden ................... i thought those school bullyings are only shown in dramas turns out it happens in reality as student i really hate those systems of korea ............. indirectly the laws there says that weak can't survive ................ how hateble

Some of y'all are absolutely disgusting. Genuinely doesn't matter whether its been 20yrs or even 100. Injustice is injustice.
On her side she collected a yrs worth of evidence and filed a lawsuit against him so maybe she does have something substantial.
On the other side, he has the eye witnesses but 20yrs ago gives doubts about their credibility and the fact that he's also commited to this shows he might have substantial proof too.
So far he the scales are tipped in his favour, guess we'd never know till irrefutable evidence is shown by song ha.

Two things can be true at the same time, the victim's allegations of bullying are true AND they want a payday. Neither negate the other. Let the courts (hopefully) handle it well. My heart goes out to all current and past victims of bullying.

Are you really recovered? I think not. Over a decade later, you recalled the crimes. Bullying is serious and should not be discounting, because life continues.

I like watching on Viu with my VPN that connects to good Singapore servers. They have solid translations (I imagine because a whole lot of Korean students did exchange studies there in the last few decades and were learning in English language courses, not Korean)… and Viu itself is a HK based company, a place where all manner of Asian and Western translator alike are needed (but the nature of the work, that is, very part time unless for court systems and sometimes even then, makes it necessary to take on jobs for Netflix KR—which has a couple of stellar translators and a few moderate ones that are alright, a few others that haven’t been around for recent titles I have seen but were pretty bad, Viu, and local services like TVING that translate into English, TV networks usually also having English captions available though some not until the rerun hour)… Viki still has some good editors, but most (said from experience) feel more concerned with hurting the feelings of translators who are volunteers than with given characters’ words being conveyed with consistent language tones&age suitable wording in the case of many since the same word for a bastard dog is endearing if your grandma calls you that, can be funny when a friend or sometimes dating partner/spouse does, and is a call to fight if a non-friend peer does.

I think it was actually Netflix whose subber did what may be the most intricate and difficult translation project and threw their heart into it to a point of wanting to go buy them something (the show, Pegasus Market, isn’t there anymore and I think was licensed elsewhere so the subs floating about vary; it has an ABUNDANCE of wordplay and Korea-specific phrasing that doesn’t make sense translated literally, but they went and found the native equivalent since there usually IS one for idioms and such but they can be hard to do a reverse search for, yknow. That subber thoroughly baffled me in the best way and doubled my enjoyment of it since I was catching the Korean AND getting to see a labor of love with the best possible translations imaginable… the show is perfect to me already, but that person’s subs certainly made it peak perfection. All depends on who gets the job and how much they rely on tools/AI. I wouldn’t be surprised if D+ put theirs through AI and just threw the AI subs at someone who wasn’t hearing or watching it and said clean it up. They are crazy about their copyrights so someone possibly leaking it while translating would make them consider hiring old mafia ties to quietly make them disappear. 😂

Started.... Finished ep2..this is literally worth it

I hear you. I've been watching Korean tv for about 15 years, and it can be distracting when the subtitles don't quite match. However, in this case, the subtitles match the English dubbing, so I'm pretty sure the changes were not completely without reason, but probably made to make the length of the sentences match lip-movements slightly better. I wouldn't say the translations were completely inaccurate (just somewhat paraphrased at times), but yeah, it's frustrating that Disney is apparently so desperate to save money that they couldn't hire someone to do proper subtitles, instead of just reusing their dubbing-script.

Disney translators like treating their tasks like they are performing interpretive dance… maddening to a point where I turn their subs off entirely (but I’ve watched, had convos with loads of Koreans, and translated/edited translations for shows before Viki put paywalls up and I bailed, so I don’t need translations often unless it is stuff I have no interest in learning like legal jargon that I’ll forget since it isn’t stuff that I think about outside programs).

They’re like school grades, basically… anything under a 7 here is considered a “failure” by the mostly young (mostly female, too, so thrillers, business oriented shows, and other “masculine” content fare worse, “masculine” loosely used to point to what appeals to male vs female viewers overall [as a female lover of dark comedy and psych thrillers with male friends who are romcom lovers and every variation in between]). This will do pretty well unless the writing goes downhill because the cast are top of their game/top demand actors, but most with political intrigue hover in the 7s which is C/C-/D territory depending on the rater. I just modified my IMDB scores for here to match the young school grade scale from people in or recently graduated from school. Modern kids like when things are graded on a curve. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Nothing young or modern about me, but I’ve taught enough courses with both grading styles to be flexible.
