Good Grief

I didn’t see or feel any romance, which is why I said that. Out of all 10 episodes, none of them gave any romance at all.

No kiss, no romance tag, none!

I was responding to the kiss question because I haven’t seen a kiss scene even on today’s episode.

Sadly that's just the modern audience and what modern shows/movies do, especially Netflix.
It's on the net how the creators of the show are told (by e.g. Netflix) to constantly repeat things because it's assumed people are on their phones not caring about the show they're "watching." :(

1. Lizard explaining everything going with Haekang's inner feelings after Haekang and Hari's fight
2. Chungwon is supposed to be smart, how he found out about the fake family is reduced to his assistant dumping all the answers to him lol
3. The funeral scene where Chungwon comes eheheing revealing what he did, when they already established Haekang is smart enough to deduce it himself

Writing smart characters only works if you trust the audience to keep up? overexplaining everything just makes it feel too hand-holdy tbh

started to notice how there's always a character to explain everything going on to the viewers like they are catering for an audience who would not pay attention watching nor connect the dots themselves...

Global availability may also be in play. Spooky in Love is for example available in N-Europe, while not so much as one episode of s1 or 2 of flex x has been made available to us. The international availability probably also factors in.

Yeah, but I wasn't referring to the difference in demographics. I meant that mdl ratings and tv viewership ratings are measuring completely different things, so they aren't really comparable as ratings.

That's because mdl ratings are based on crowdsourced scores from international viewers, while these are domestic TV viewership ratings based on the number of people watching the show in Korea. Totally different things.

This English language fan site may have an oversampling of non native Korean members.

i am ignoring the plot holes (both scar and him being giddy up after almost dying) for the sake of their chemistry, him being walking comedy and on the other side srsly smitten with her 🤭
