My guess is that they represent the first 5 branches of the Li Family. They never appeared so far, not even when they decided to exclude the 8th branch of the family. Now they made their entry for a minor issue, that looks a bit strange to me.

It's so so so good. I'm pretty amazed at the low rating here - maybe as it's not full of magical zithers or crazy romance? (don't get me wrong, I like those things too lol, but maybe that's why more people don't like this drama. I dunno)
