Loved this article. Too funny the way people get so up in arms when their favorite actor is criticized. I have favorite actors, too, but when they look beautiful and sweat-free after a vigorous battlefield scene I just roll my eyes. I would much rather see them looking a bit rough as if they actually had participated in the fighting so it doesn't break my enjoyment of the drama. (In fairness to ZLH I don't think he makes the decisions about what makeup he wears and I'm pretty sure he's cast for his visual appeal not his acting chops.)
It's a bit ironic for ZLH fans to complain about the criticism when a huge majority of the comments here during the drama's run were about how beautiful ZLH was. Obviously he's had a surge in popularity and endorsements so I doubt he's worried about his career. As they say, laughing all the way to the bank.
I thought he was the weakest part of what was otherwise a great cast and story. He simply wasn't convincing as a general. Part of this was due to his appearance - not because he has too pretty a face or wears foundation, but rather he simply looks too skinny and weak to fight with a sword and other weapons of the time. Medievil warriors had to have incredible upper body strength, which this guy clearly doesn't have. Or are we are to suppose he has some special strength power, the way the female lead does? If so, they didn't make it clear. The other part of course was that he simply didn't convincingly act the part of a general from that or any other era. The male lead in a period romance ... yes. A general leading troops into battle ... no.
The title is wrong. You can't say "hold A court", but "hold court". But even then it sounds weird, especially if you add "now". It sounds pretty ridiculous. "Family court" or something like that should be more acceptable
Ppl really do have diff tastes!! I watched the 1st ep nd barely managed to finish 30 min it's really boring🚶🏻♂️🚶🏻♂️
well... the first episode is about the ml's life and problems but when the kidnapping happen it became entertaining. When I watch a series I try to watch 2 episodes to give them a try and seeif it's entertaining cuz some of them are just slow and boring in the beginning.
