Honestly pleasantly surprised by this drama. This could've been a pretty shallow, horny rom-com given the premise, but it covers quite a few interesting topics both in Korea and in modern society in general. I think the one thing that really struck a chord was the FL's realization about how "we like who we like". Society, family, our environment, our upbringing, all our previous relationships, social media, movies, books, etc all shape who we think our Ideal partner should be. We get so rigid in our thinking, so locked in on finding our ideal type, that we miss so many opportunities at happiness. Seems like now it's all about finding someone who checks all of our boxes, but people aren't checklists. We are full of contradictions, compromises, internal struggles and insecurities. No one can possibly be everything you ever wanted. No one is the perfect person for you (those only exist on the TV screen, I'm afraid).
Does that mean you should give up? No. Find someone YOU like, not a checklist in your head, just another human that makes you smile and makes your heart beat faster. And most importantly, just like the FL, do not lie to yourself about who you like. Be honest with your feelings. Things might not work out (hell, most of the time they don't), but at least you won't have regrets.

Oh, and btw, great drama so far. The leads are *chef's kiss! Romance is fun atm too.

The female lead is smart and manipulative, she is kind of a gray character. If the FL was the other girl we would never get a happy ending and even if we did a lot of people would be angry because she would not have deserved it.

But I do agree with the doppleganger thing being disappointing. It would make a lot more sense for them to be twins and the villains telling the FL was dead at childbirth for some reason and she was secretly saved by some servant. What are the chances of cousins looking exactly alike, they do not even have the same father.

It could be. The problem is that they won’t include this point in the drama so it is like they say ’’take this and be gone, there is no lgptq+ in this’’ which make the drama illogical.

I will never understand this kind of drama and its logic. I mean the ml will fall for fl when she is disguised as a man, that mean he is not straight and yet in the end they will end up together, forgetting that he might be into guy. Mm…

episode 15 is exactly the reason why i usually wait for dramas to finish airing before watching them..... holy cow
