Title Perfect Crown Spoiler
didnt pm getting arrested make the cabinet agree to ian's wish of letting the public vote to abolishing the monarchy…
queen mother gave pm min the copy and as to how she got it im assuming someone made a copy of it when it was not in the safe yet! you need to watch ep 12 bc it took them about 3 years to abolish it

this was an avg drama. 2nd half felt really boring i skipped many scenes. I love iu's works but this felt off. but it was an okay watch if you are looking for something predictable cute chemistry definitely give it a try.

The first half was genuinely amazing, easily a 10/10 for me. But the second half turned into peak makjang chaos…
I agree completely and it always makes me wonder how you can write the great first half and then fumble completely the end.

The first half was genuinely amazing, easily a 10/10 for me. But the second half turned into peak makjang chaos with illogical character development and villains that felt completely one dimensional. Personally, I think they fumbled the story pretty badly in the end. But well... at least some people still enjoyed it. I genuinely loved the drama at the beginning, maybe that's why I'm extra salty lol

But acting and cast was phenomenal! The leads and support cast were great! Sad that they wasted them for this kind of bad writing in the second half. Maybe the writer should stick to romcom and keep their hands off politics and melodrama ;D

it was fine and easy watch. i was really bored by the story by the end but i can understand if people like it overall. i'm just left with the feeling it's one of those that had so much potential to be an iconic romcom. modern monarchy + IU + BWS just sounded too good. anyway all the actors did so well. the writing really let them down.

Lol they really took something great and decided to throw it away with that ending, what a joke.
I really like IU but this drama writing is so bs wasted her potential

I liked the plot but they didnt have to abolish monarchy and move to real world plot. Like in korea even without noble title there is difference in the people status due to wealth and other factors.

So so disappointed with how they handled PM min!! WDYM he was exposed just like that and they didn't show his sentence?? So unsatisfying.

eh, so disappointing. They really went with the lazy abolishing route. And here I had my hopes up that we'd get a fun modern royalty drama. Instead of just randomly abolishing it, should've put the royals and nobles in their place and was so looking foward to see her as a sassy queen with both of them bringing in new changes and life to the crown. meh, so sad

What was the point of I-AN keeping the late king's will and their contact in the safe? They didn't even reveal how queen mother got her hands on the contract and that PM was the one who revealed it.

It was fun in the beginning. The romance was good and the chemistry was DEFinitely there but yeah towards the end it kinda lost me.
The progression of PMs character was weird and annoying.
Same with the Queen mother, I feel like her character had potential but it was fully wasted.

I honestly stopped care at these last two episodes, It WAS cute in the beginning and the romance was not bad just the plot was all over the place

With the current situation in South Korea, I actually agree with the netizens on this one.

First off, this is supposed to be the *modern era* if Joseon was left intact.

Let's start with the relationship with the Ming & Qing Dynasty.

The Royal family and the Korean govt were not free to do whatever they wanted during these eras. In order to receive recognition, trade & military support the Korean citizens, including the royal family had to kowtow to China and provide tributaries until the late 1800s! Korea was NOT officially independent during this time. Hell, any Joseon king required Chinese investiture e.g. the emperor of China had to give them their seal and officially legitimize them to their title, IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. It's an insult to Korean sovereignty! China might not be seen as "imperial" but the affect is essentially the same as Japanese imperial rule, it's just that Japan was more totalitarian during their time.

SO... why are we using HANJA instead of hangul for these 2 words in discrepancy!? Hangul was created by a JOSEON KING for a specific reason and he is absolutely the favorite king of Korea and this is a major reason for that. The love of the Korean people! The words should be written 만세 and 천세 ONLY! If it's the modern era, let's get it right instead of bringing it back to what the netizens are actually complaining about.... putting them back into a tributary position where they're using Chinese that not EVERY citizen can read. HANJA is only taught currently as an ELECTIVE in middle or high school!!

Korea should be sovereign and the language should equal this as well.
