i feel like after your ex boyfriend of five years cheated on you, there should be some sort of residual, I don't know if the word trauma is too heavy for this, but it should be hard for you to get into a relationship with someone else. Trust and security should not have come so easily to her. He told her about his feelings and all she could think about was money, instead of considering whether she's ready to give her heart to someone else soon. Sure, the ML is a great guy, but I pretty sure her ex was acting like a great guy too when they were together. that sort of experience stays with you and affects your future relationships. I know the show and characters are shallow, but the fact that she's just fine and ready to fall in love again is one of the most unrealistic things about this show.
They really use filters didnāt they for the lighting? Sunlit scenes all the day to reflect a warm romance. You can sometimes tell the mood the director wants to set.
Jung So Min and Choi Woo Shik really do rom com so well even though they are good actors who can take on darker moods.
just finished episode 5 and these are my following observations: 1. itās insane to me how awful that aunt is considering it was her brother that died. Even her son is kinder than she is. 2. the craziest thing for me to understand in kdramas is when the family says itās the childās fault for when a parent dies. Like if the kid asks his parents to take him to the store and they die on the way the child gets blamed for their death. Do they not believe that death is just apart of life. They always seem like they need someone to accuse in kdrama land. Like if the dad turned around at his big age thatās his fault cause every driver knows they need to keep their eyes on the road. Is it not already bad enough the kid lost both of his parents. Iāve seen this in so many dramas. I know yāall might say people grieve differently but sending your grandchild away is the biggest disservice you can do to the dead parents. 3. The doctor knew he liked someone for so long and he literally shows zero interest in him donāt understand why she wants to express her feelings to him now. 4. The entitlement of the uncle to steal and kill for a company that doesnāt even belong to him is crazy. How many people did the man kill at this point. The family is gonna be at a lost when they find out he killed so many people. 5. Ugh somebody please send the white truck of doom for the ex.
the childhood connection is kinda tricky here. on one hand, it advances the plot and their relationship. on the other hand, it looks like it's the only reason he falls for her.

I think heās already kind of interested in her (like when his female employee asked about his ideal type, he glanced at Meri). He knows her story (she was a good girlfriend) and Meri is actually pretty polite. Oh, and sheās pretty (realistically, that has to be one of the factors).
But knowing sheās his first love really makes the progression š

Just a few tropes from the first 4 episodes. 1. Fake marriage 2. White truck of doom 3. Wicked in-laws 4. Childhood connection 5. Childhood trauma involving dead parents 6. First love 7. Terrible ex boyfriend
I'm still pretty sure I missed some
