The ML was written like a “loser in love” He gets cruelly dumped by the FL, 5 years go by, she returns and he still likes her. Huh? Why? Then for most of the drama he chases her gets rejected, chases gets rejected, chases gets rejected, helps her gets rejected, helps her gets rejected. What??? Where’s the dignity, my guy?
And then at the end, there’s a misunderstanding and the FL breaks up with the ML again. He gets broken hearted and runs away, she finds out SHE WAS WRONG and chases him for like 10 sec and finds him waiting for her, all smiles, like his trust wasn’t just betrayed. With no verbal apology from her, the drama ends with both of them smiling at each other. What?? Huh??
It’s so ridiculous it’s actually funny. I’m cracking up while typing this. 😂
I can be totally wrong but something I’ve noticed about “most” Asian infidelity movies that I’ve seen is that when the Female lead cheats it “seems” justifiable… “almost” ok?
The story is written in a way where the FL’s down trodden life make the viewers pity her so much so that when she does, eventually, cheat on her husband it doesn’t feel like a straight up “screw you” type of betrayal. Her pitiful life kinda dims the intensity of her infidelity.
I’m ok with that type of storyline it’s just ive never seen the same thing done for Male leads. I’ve never seen a ML “almost” justified for cheating on his wife.
Are there any movies/dramas with this Type of plot? If there isn’t, why not?
It's amazing how she can act as a young adult and also have you watch you are my glory? I think I like how she…
Yes, Janice wu is a versatile actress. I think that’s what sets her apart from her peers. She’s really good. Yes, I watched “you are my glory” I enjoyed that drama.

Screw Cheating wives and abusive husbands.
I’m glad they made the FL “work” to win back the ML.
The ending wasn’t even satisfying.
But good job actors!
Maybe it’ll change as I continue.
