Zhou Da Wei will get Xu Lu.... Chinese dramas trends and what keeps the viewers watching.... It's not supposed…
Same here, I don’t like those plots either. If, somehow, ZDW and XL don’t get together, which I doubt will happen, I hope she doesn’t go to that other guy either. At the end, I’m abt 90% sure XL and ZDW will end up together.
I’m only mid-series but The FL is still a jerk and ML is still doormat but he’s changing. Does her character develop or is it only the ML’s? I’m enjoying the 3 male friends, they crack me up.

It’s still possible for ZDW to have a big character Developement if he chooses to date the office girl instead. It, obviously, won’t be the same type of “character development” if he chose otherwise but he would develop nonetheless. I’m also sure that ZDW and XL will end up together? But I hope not.

I agree. ZDW will get Xu Lu. That’s the usual result when it comes to the “chasing love” type of plot. But for once, I want the chaser to just give up chasing, especially after being rejected more than once. Just move on, keep her in the friend zone and find someone who will accept you as is. But I know it’s just wishful thinking on my part. To be honest, I don’t like this type of plot so I’m always looking for dramas that will go against the usual way.
I hope Zhou da Wei gives up chasing after xu Lu. I’m probably the only one that thinks this but I don’t care. I hope he finds someone who will reciprocate his feelings instead of chasing someone who constantly rejects him. But like most Chinese dramas, they’ll probably make him chase after her with no regards for his dignity.
I didn’t like how they wrote the FL’s brother (2ml?) they made him clingy, constantly chasing the FL’s friend, dropping any dignity he had just to get with her. after they got together, she’s the one who broke up with him and said she didn’t want to fight for him and then he had to apologize to her in order for them to get back together. This type of writing annoys me the most.
Thank you so much for this movie. I recently watched 3 movies where the main couple break up towards the end and then they time skip to the female lead getting married to someone else and the male lead watching her. I was hoping there would be a movie with the opposite result and sure enough I stumbled upon this one. I enjoyed it.
This drama was interesting. This was the first drama I’ve seen where the husband cheats because the wife was to controlling. I’ve only seen dramas where it’s the other way around. I wonder if future dramas will portray more “role-swaps”? More house-husband roles? Or more female-initiated-romance?

ML got to cheat on his wife, be forgiven quickly and then get mad at his wife for “cheating” (not really)
2ML got to exact some sort of revenge on his cheating wife and keep the kids.
Most infidelity dramas or at least the ones I’ve seen has the opposite happening.

bad writing.
