I am not really sure, but I guess the minimum number of votes required is 250. Both series are about to reach that number. I guess this is the magic number because I have never seen a series listed on MDL lists with less than 250ish votes. For example: Gay Ok Bangkok is listed, but Gay Ok Bangkok 2 is not. They help Thai industry to reach international acknowledgment, on the other hand they are building a terrible stereotype for Thai Dramas: they only can be good if they are BL. The truth is that the better Thai series are not BL: 'Project S' and 'The Gifted' are good examples of great but underrated shows. Just few people know them, but the ones who know are pleased. 'Project S: SOS' got a 9.2 mark here on MDL. 'The Gifted' is even better: 9.3. This show can be the first Thai Drama to lead the "Top Shows" list on this website as soon as it gets the minimum of votes necessary.
I am tired of this obssession with rape that we found on BL stories. I mean, if they discussed rape in a proper way (as a horrible and traumatic thing) I would enjoy it, but it is not the case. Again and again, we keep seeing these rapes happening on BL stories as they were romantic or comic things. That scene between No and Kengla was disgusting. It is not funny to abuse someone who is drunk. Why they keep doing this? Why did they stain the final episodes of this cute series with a tentative failed rape (Tar and Tum) and a real rape (No and Kengla)?
There are many good Thai Dramas to watch nowadays. And many of them are on YT, like this one. Give it a try.
