The issue is if he stops, so does Filipino BL. We know that man is my nemesis, but he's also the only person/company consistently making BLs in the Philippines during the last few years. And he has better actors than you see in most Thai BLs. Yes, I hate watch his shows. Yes, I wish he hired writers. But I don't want him to stop making series.

Wait wait wait! Me saying, "I think his acting has improved compared to his other series" does not mean I think he's attractive. I'm fine with you having your way with Shogun, but I REALLY don't want First.

But anyway, I just finished episode 4 and it's not good. But I don't hate any of the characters and the mom is great. Most importantly, I never thought I'd see a BL version of "when I met you, you were an escort (host). But now that we're dating, I hate your job and I'm jealous all the time". The premise is ridiculous and repetitive. But it's new for Thai BL.

I do remember the good old days. So far back that What the Duck 2 seemed like it was the worst thing Thailand could ever create. And more recently that dishonor went to Crazy Handsome Rich. But Lady Boy Friends is a true abomination. I can only imagine how much worse things can get. But I'll keep watching these terrible series and looking forward to complaining when Xion rolls out his next Pinoy turd.

Alright alright. I watched the first two episodes and they weren't terrible. After getting my "I survived Time and all I got was this dumb shirt" tee, this seems like a 9/10.

So far I like the ladies who work in the club and First. I think his acting has improved compared to his other series. Shogun is a bit too confident in his acting abilities, but I'll watch it. These days, this is as good as Thai BL gets.

I watched the first episode of Kiseki Chapter 2 and it was one of the worst things I've ever seen. I heard about the twins and sex on the steps. Nope! Not for me!

Every couple of years a series comes out that elevates BL and sets itself apart from everything else. From the acting to the storytelling and directing, this show is truly special. From the 1st episode I felt a strong connection with the Wei family. And every single episode felt important and impactful. It's wonderful to be in an era of BL where some countries are consistently creating amazing stories. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves character driven shows.

I'm liking this more and more as it goes on. I'm glad Beck got a lead role, he's doing a great job portraying Aksorn. The writers seem aware that the premise is very far fetched, but are doing a good job to make it work. I have some ideas of who the ninja or ghost (the person who is lurking around) is, but what intrigues me the most is Songjam. There has to be a reason why everything in his room looks like it's from another era.

I just wrote a long comment about how unrealistic the sex scene was. It' s not like I expect them to act it out,…
I would be surprised if actors looked at this site since for most of them, English is not their first language. I think they mostly look at comments on social media. But of course I could be wrong. I do hope that people don't say mean things about the actors. I think it's appropriate to point out when actors aren't good at acting, since that's what they're paid to do. But saying mean things about them personally is unnecessary imo.

But I do hope that someone from these companies read these comments, especially on the lower rated shows to get an idea of what some fans think could be improved for future projects. I'm sure the opinions of a small group of fans aren't gonna change much. But completely ignoring it is like putting together a focus group, but never asking them to share their thoughts. Such a waste.

Before the end of the series, I think it's a bit early to judge the series as bad. You should let the plot unfold.…
I've stopped engaging with people who have no watch history, but feel the need to tell how I should watch series. And share their opinions as if they're facts. 👋

the similarity with Shuen ni Narimashita is uncanny i thought i was watching the same series i even thought it…
I thought I was the only one who saw the similarities. I really liked the first episode of this one too. The characters seemed very believable to me even though the situation isn't very realistic. Can't wait to see how things unfold.

I am not into the MaxNat couple, but I'd watch anything with Max in it. Unfortunately, this show lost me. I couldn't…
I agree, the pacing is way off. If they started the series by showing us how Thai and Kram (the dead one) fell in love and how Kram and Phupha (the dead one) fell in love that could have worked. And made us more invested/conflicted as the story unfolded. But waiting until now to tell dead Kram's love story is pointless.

I also had a subtitle issue that said Jao was in love with Kram. Super useless since it's obvious Jao and the other guy are endgame. I personally like the mom. And I'm sure many blind people can cook and she has that other lady to help her. So that character doesn't bother me and at least Nat tries to act when he's in scenes with her.

LOOK WHO IT IS, THE BIGGEST TORTURE ARTIST ON MDL!!!!! I know misery loves company, but haven't I suffered enough because of your terrible recommendations!?!?!?!?!?!?! I know you just want me back in a Clockwork Orange style purgatory and I'm not gonna do it!

Jk, I watched a few minutes of the first episode and didn't like the premise. But I'll add it my list. If you thought it was good, at least I know I'll get a few laughs while watching it.

Right. I saw the rude comment that you received. It's so frustrating that many of us have been on MDL for years, watching BL after BL and sharing our thoughts and opinions, but in the last year the site has been overrun with people new to BL who think this is a fan page not a discussion board. Who have decided that personal attacks on other viewers are justified and appropriate.

I used to get upset when people would make personal attacks against me just because I shared an opinion about a tv character they disagreed with. Then I started checking their page. If someone has watched a tiny amount of series or just created their account, their opinion/attacks hold a lot less weight for me. If someone has no knowledge of older BLs, BL history or what loyal BL audiences went through to get to this point, then I'm less interested in what they have to say. These people want everyone to think exactly like they do and rarely give a damn about anything/anyone besides their "favs". I hope you don't let that person ruin too much of your day. They truly aren't worth it.

This reminds me of BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita, but made for an older audience. Which isn't a bad thing. I liked Asami and even though Yuki wasn't my favorite character so far this year, I appreciated his dedication to his character. But I do hope other newbie actors don't follow the same technique to prepare for their first role! I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I watched the 2nd episode and it's time for me to put this on hold. I'm not connecting to either character and the plot is pretty basic. I'm usually fine with basic/predictable JBL plots because I find the characters to be very interesting, but that's not happening here.

Oh well, I'm going to watch 25 Ji, Akasaka de.

I just wrote a long comment about how unrealistic the sex scene was. It' s not like I expect them to act it out,…
I purposefully didn't bring up how unrealistic the sex scene was because it was clearly written for people who have a fundamental misunderstanding of gay sex. That's not surprising since BL and many yaoi's are often written or drawn by women and who clearly don't know how gay sex actually works logistically.

I really don't want to come across as mean towards the other viewers of this series because even though Two Worlds isn't great, it's not the problem. Just part of the problem. But since you brought it up, the lack of lube, vaseline, ky or anything was absurd. The fact that the scene went on so long only made it more ridiculous with both actors having vaguely happy smiles but a complete lack of passion. The total lack of a climax for either character was the most unbelievable part for me though. They just sorta stopped, kept smiling and that was it. I could go on, but you get the point.

I know most people thought it was a sweet or romantic love scene. Ok I guess, but I also would have preferred a fade to black leaving the rest up to my imagination. Maybe that's because my imagination is much more vivid than most of the audience and writers for this series 🤷‍♀️

If someone isn't watching for a specific actor or MaxNat, this show really isn't worth the time. I definitely think you made the right decision.

Title Two Worlds
Last week I accepted that this show was not trying to be enjoyable and decided to stick with it because of my bias for MaxNat. I knew it would only get worse and of course it did.

Since the writers raced through the "plot" over the last few weeks, obviously they had no story left to tell for this week, so we got a bunch of filler. Guys playing dress up, drunk confessions that changed nothing, Phupha being pretty much an extra, the director forgetting to direct Nat in half of his scenes and the terribly paced backstory that should have happened weeks ago.

Then we got the obligatory MaxNat LONG and awkward sex scene that MUST be included in each of their series to remind viewers of exactly what they're selling. Ok fine, I get it Thai BL is pretty much just soft-core porn for audiences who are too afraid to watch actual porn, but have no problem with their "favorite" idols/actors doing porn and likely ruining their future career prospects. It boggles my mind that actor after actor has done these types of roles and gone on to have no career (except a lucky few) and yet fans who claim to love these guys keep asking for more and more sex scenes. Max and all the others deserve so much better especially from their fans and company.

The show won't get better and unfortunately, neither will Thai BL.

To be clear, I'm not against sex scenes that serve the story of a series or against actors who agree to do sex scenes in series or against anyone who chooses to do porn. But I think a good series should try to tell a coherent story and not just rely on sex scenes and kisses to keep fans entertained.

Haha, the invisible armor reminds me of the Chinese Isekai novels when a cannon fodder character has to suffer…
Yeah, they tried to fit in too much, but there isn't enough time to tell a full story. I really thought they'd focus more on Khram and Phupha in the other world, but the other world pretty much disappeared after 1. Oh well.

I thought it was really good. Apo's acting was amazing like always. The plot was very intense, I'll admit that I was confused more than once. But that's not a criticism, pay close attention if you decide to watch it. If you're looking for a BL, you'll be disappointed. This isn't that. But if you want a well written historical story with multiple layers and strong acting, you'll probably appreciate it.
