I applaud your quest. Please list below your worst. 609 Bed Story has to be on it, For HIM, oh yes, Fahlanruk….oh…
One of the best things about BL is that there are soooooooo many shows. There are hundreds of hours of BL and GL content. Enjoy them, I'll watch Fahlanruk soon.

I keep of the worst years by year on my profile. For Him is on it. 609 was really bad, but I thought Physical Therapy was even worse and it came out the same year as 609. I actually haven't watched Fahlanruk yet, but it's on my plan to watch list.
can yall stop hating on this show alr like what do you expect when there’s only 2 eps out rn and there’s going…
So you literally went to a discussion board and created an account 2 days ago, just to tell people on that discussion board that you don't want to read their opinions. Discussion, critique and sharing opinions are not the same thing as "hate". No one is forcing you to read our comments. Maybe you should stop rudely telling others to conform to what you want and realize the world doesn't revolve around you.
I love that it's only April and there have already been so many great series this year. This show gets better every week. Zhi Yuan should teach a class on seduction. He knows he already won Qian's heart, he's just biding his time until Qian is ready to admit it to himself. Zhi Yuan has Qian wrapped around his finger in every scene and it's wonderful to watch!
I really liked thr first episode. The plot wasn't too convoluted and the actors playing Songjam and Aksorn had good chemistry together. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Hi, Can you explain to me the link between those series ? Is there a logic ?
These series were all made by the same Taiwanese streaming platform called Vidol: Stay by My Side (2023), You Are Mine (2023), VIP Only (2023), and Anti-Reset (2024).
The stories aren't connected, but some characters make guest appearances in one of the other 3 shows.
I'm sticking with this because it's not another school BL with a plot/characters we've seen a million times before, because the actors are trying and because the MDL page isn't filled with personal attacks from people who don't like to read opinions that are different from there's. But I'm not really sure what's happening. The editor is just doing WAY TOO much. How many flashbacks do we need of stuff that just happened and how many jumps from one "suspenseful" moment to another "suspenseful" moment can we have in one episode?
There's Max, Nat, Gun, the 2 friend guys, the mom and all the generic mustached/bearded villains and the deep voice guy. The town is small enough to quickly walk anywhere, but the good guys keep getting away. Thai and Khram kinda behave like people who have been close for a long time, but from Khram's perspective they just met. It's only episode 4, so we know the main characters are never in real danger, but "danger" happens in every other scene. Umm ok, cool. I guess. The absurdity is kind of entertaining and the show doesn't make me fall asleep. I'll be back next week.
Despite the additional conflict that felt like it came out of no where in episode 7 and the terrible actions of a couple of characters, I loved the emotions the show invoked. We live in a time where some countries seem to have given up on creating BLs with realistic characters and some actors don't even bother to learn to act. But some countries are consistently improving. This show wouldn't have been made a few years ago. It's so great to see KBLs consistently showcasing strong writing and young actors who try their best to convey the feelings of complex and imperfect characters.
I know this show isn't perfect. There were some scenes that were hard to watch. There were some scenes that felt unnecessary. But the parts that worked were really great. We aren't stuck with 20 minute episodes and fluff anymore. High school students dealing with confusing emotions, hormones and angst is realistic. And loved watching every episode and was so invested in the relationships. No it's not Eighth Sense, but it's still pretty good.
Wow! When I saw the comments at first I thought people were being harsh because of Mew. But then I watched both episodes and the problems were immediately obvious.
For a few minutes it felt like this was a throw back to the K BLs from a few years ago. That had small budgets and mostly rookie actors. But then as more seemingly useless characters appeared on screen, it started to feel like many current Thai BLs. A bloated cast, scenes that are completely disconnected from each other, many people who are just saying lines but not actually acting, main characters that aren't interesting and a director with no past experience in BL.
The trailer was bad, the production delays were a sign of problems, but I really expected more. Not sure why Mew agreed to be in this or why his character only speaks Thai but the other characters understand him. But I'm gonna put this on hold. KBL is better than this in 2024 and this show probably won't get better.
All these months later, I finally forced myself to finish it. As others have said, out of Stay By My Side, You Are Mine, VIP Only and Anti Reset, Stay By My Side was the best. You Are Mine was the one with most wasted potential. Anti Reset had the best concept. And VIP Only was the most generic.
Stan is VERY handsome and pretty much the only reason I stuck with it. The later episodes are fine if you like fluff, but this would have been better as a mini series or movie.
I'm glad we've moved out the BL era where semes were just handsome/rich with no personality. But we've been stuck in the era of too many boring, pouty ukes with multiple guys chasing after them for way too long and I'm over that too.
Oh wow. I guess it's It's fine if you want to watch a series of commercials for 30+ minutes. But I hope the actors get actual acting roles in the future. And that Bible fires his manager or whoever had him do that commercial.
"shows with mostly adult characters that aren't just endless NC scenes"Can you name them? I see such comments…
Yeah those were only the ones I could think of since 2022. I watch A LOT of BLs, I'm sure most people have only seen/heard of some of them.
At the end of the day we all have some perception bias. We don't all watch or like the same things. So everybody has at least a slightly different perspective. And I think that's one of the great things about MDL as long as people are nice to each other 😁
These guys still look young to me but it's definitely nice to see actors closer to 30 than 20. I'd love more queer…
Great point. I think people who have watched BL for 5+ years and stuck with it, are going to want to see more content that reflects their current life stage. There is no cut off age for BL and different age groups of viewers are likely going to enjoy different types of series. I'm an adult and even though I like many high school and college BLs. I relate to series with adults a lot more.
I agree with you about GLs. I want more well written GLs. Over the last year, more have been airing, which is great. I know BL didn't become hugely popular over night and it will take time for GL to increase in popularity. But I'll keep watching the ones that do air.
