The BL gods have truly blessed us this time. Going forward anytime someone aggressively demands more kissing or more sex scenes in a series with an actual plot and characters, they should be forced to watch ForHim on a loop for a month!!
This "show" was about nothing, the characters were just there having pointless conversations that led to nothing. Once the drama with Blue ended, so did the tiny bit of story. I can't be mad because it was obvious from episode one that this was no Unforgotten Night. It wasn't so bad it was good, it was boring and none of the main characters were even mildly interesting.
On a positive note, the straight characters were decent. The girl group would have been awful in 95% of BLs but they were really nice and good friends to Nail. Dream and the other girl were cool too. I liked them together. And purse will go down in BL history as the best accessory of all time!!! 👜
I don't want to say anything mean because the budget is obviously small and the actors did their best with what they were given, but that was hard to sit through. I'll give it a couple more episodes to see if it improves.
I also liked this series ; gave it an 8/10 ...but your comment says " This is easily the best kbl of the year"…
I thought since it premiered in January, it was obvious that it's the first KBL of the year. But if you need clarification, I would be very surprised if any KBLs that air in 2024 are better than this series. I'd happily be wrong, but this was so good, it would be hard to top. IMO
Once in a while a series does something completely unique and is amazing from start to finish. This is easily the best kbl of the year. The acting and directing were top tier. But the writing was stunning. Rarely do BLs capture so many human emitions flawlessly. This is a must see series! 10/10
Idk if they got a special writer for episode 11, but it was definitely the best episode so far. Prem finally had some agency and Ten's dad wasn't completely terrible and helped Ten realize that actions have consequences. I'm loving the character growth. And OG were so adorable in their sweet moments 🥰.
There's a lot at stake in the final episode, but unlike most penultimate episodes, it wasn't super depressing. FyMy were precious as always, I love them so much. I do wish Metha hadn't made that comment to Samsi. And that Paeng hadn't written that note, but overall I loved the episode.
Continuing my journey through all the bad BLs I can, brought me here. I watched this immediately after Gen Y. That series infuriated me to no end. Watching this I knew what I was getting and felt less rage.
They could have just called it "Hide and Seek" because every couple spent the majority of the series apart for stupid/contrived reasons. Or they could have called it "How to Destroy a Beloved Ship". I used to love KimCop but I think it's good that their ship pretty much ended. KitMark was the worst part of the series for me.
The good: good cupid/bad cupid, Phai and Sandee. They saved the show by being rational and decent. Sad their relationship didn't get more screen time or a chance to evolve. P'Pha, I LOVED him in 2 Moons and I loved him here. The writers did him dirty though. I wished he got a happy ending or at least family to be with him in the end. And A BETTER TOMBSTONE!
The average: PokTong, I only watched season 1 & 2 because I saw Tora/Bonus in What's Zapp Man and liked their chemistry. They were the best part of season 1. Pretty bland in season 2, but not bad.
The spectacularly awful,: Bas and Dun's lack of chemistry. Wayu, the worst thing about season 1. He almost put me to sleep in all his scenes. Bas was given nothing to do. The fact that they expected us to believe that multiple characters liked him was the only funny thing about the show. Mark, a lap dog. Smiling incessantly. And pathetic. He deserved better than Kit, but he was also a doormat so I couldn't feel bad for him.
The irredeemable, Kit! I HATED HIM! This guy ruined his own relationship and harmed Wayu/Thanu/Pha with his bullshit. He behaved like the weight of the world was on his shoulders, the only problem is he brought it all on himself. The worst tsundere character of all time. The writers and director, it's obvious no one could have acted well with this script. They probably found some 8 year old girl, asked her what she thought was romantic, made a series around it and added a bunch of filler and lack of communication to stretch things out and keep the couples from having to touch/kiss too much. The director's only direction was, "smile and say the lines". All the actors and audience deserved better.
I understand the frustration. I don't want them to show sex scenes or anything but I think if one person agrees…
My issue also isn't with the lack of sex. It's with Achi not being supportive of Karan last week when he was working himself to the bone for their relationship. And it's him not communicating to Karan when he gets asked to go start up the new site. And it's him acting like being apart for one month will end their relationship since he won't be able to read his mind. But I know others think Achi is flawless because they identify with him. So all of Achi's behaviors should get a pass I guess.
"I think if one person agrees to move in with another, the way they act in this show is questionable" - Same!
All levels of intimacy stories are important. Just because the characters aren’t progressing as fast as some…
I said nothing about demiromantic people. And I won't because I wouldn't object to a story about a demiromantic person. That had nothing to do with my comment. But for some reason you felt the need to comment on what I wrote and misconstrue it. This page has had in fighting since this show was announced. Everyone on here is free to think and say whatever they want. Every person is free to experience the show and writing and share their thoughts on it if they want.
I don't know why you felt the need to reply to my comment. But that is your right because you said, it's a public forum. But you deciding that I'm against Achi for being a "demiromantic" person is false and I've seen too many people on here trying to censor opinions they don't like and then act innocent. This is a tv show, represention matters, but so does quality writing. And if I don't like the way a character is written, me pointing that out does not impact you in any way.
If I read a comment I disagree with, I almost never comment on it, because I don't see the point. Me sharing my opinion with that person won't change their opinion, but it will create an unnecessary argument. I'm not on this forum to have pointless arguments over nothing. It's a waste of both of our time. The characters aren't real, none of this matters, the actors aren't harmed by people sharing their opinions and the writers are paid to write whatever they want. But obviously you and I think differently and that's fine. I'm done with this conversation and my opinion of the series and its characters has not changed.

I never objected to the level of intimacy. I never said a word about how their relationship is or isn't progressing. All I said it's missing the mark for me. If you think the writing of Achi is flawless, that's great. I don't have to agree. And I really don't see why my opinion impacts you so much. What I think about this show or any other show does not have anything to do with you or how you experience the show.
This was my most anticipated series of 2023, I was its biggest cheerleader for 7 episodes. It was sooooo good, but just like with so many other Thai BLs these days, it has not been able to maintain the quality as the episodes progressed.
I'm not comparing this to the J series. We know this is based on the manga, but what made the manga special to me is being lost here. In the book, the office setting was my favorite aspect. Here every moment in the office is miserable. Last week the boss used Karan /Achi's relationship to force Karan to complete a nearly impossible assignment, this week he's splitting them up just because Achi wants a promotion. With as much as he does in that office, the fact that he hasn't been promoted in FIVE YEARS is a damn shame.
Also, I love Jan and Sing. Their chemistry is so obvious it's impossible to not see they love each other. But their characters have been given nothing to do. But TayNew also have incredible chemistry and even though Karan is one of the greenest flags ever, the relationship of the characters is missing the mark. Jinta is easily the best thing about this series, but he's barely on screen.
I know gmmtv will always cater to a young audience, but it feels like such a shame to see TN and OG some of the oldest actors in the Thai BL industry with a longstandin ship to be in these roles, playing characters who don't behave like actual adults. I'm not asking for sex scenes, being an adult is about a lot more than sex. But I'd love to see either/both ships play mature characters. And let younger actors play characters in college or characters like Achi. Or spend more time on his backstory so his behavior is more believable.
I'm sorry for the rant, I'm just so disappointed because this series could have been great, but it's not and I'd probably have dropped it by now if I didn't love TayNew so much.
It just keeps getting worse and I almost fell asleep 3 times! I know the "writer" doesn't care, I know the "director" has no idea how to help the actors convey any emotions, but why didn't they just make it 8 episodes instead of completely giving up at the end.
Everything with Phai and Chao is painful to watch. Chao behaves like a literal dog, it's so strange to see and completely off putting. But Him and Nail are no better with their meaningless/empty conversations and filler blink and you miss it sex scenes. They don't care, I don't care, this and "Time" are already the worst series of 2024 and it's only February.
No one can convince me that the people who made this planned to create a BL. They must have made a drama about women who go to a host bar, then realized no one would watch it and added time travel "plot" and random scenes with the hosts after the original series was done filming.
How on Earth do you make a BL where the men are barely in the series? You have scenes with an older lady getting a hair treatment, a little girl chit chatting with her granddad every week and whatever the villain chick was talking about in the VIP area, I've gotten so used to tuning out these characters, I kinda forgot to pay attention when the hosts showed up again. The complete lack of focus on the time travel is stunning!
Why is this airing? What is this? How is this a show? Who is this for? When will I stop watching? Where did they find these "actors"? My brain hurts.
