I have no problem saying that I must have missed when it said 5 years ago, but that doesn't change the fact that for me this was not a good episode. I'm glad we know why he doesn't have a relationship with his mom and sister. I also appreciate a change of pace. But of all of the possible backstories, this one was ridiculous to the point of farce. If you've ever seen a soap opera, everything that happened when the mom showed up was immediately telegraphed. As soon as she said leukemia I literally said, "Oh she wants his bone marrow". I was happy to see PorscheArm again, I have missed them throughout the series. But this episode didn't work for me.

Also, even though we disagree, I did want to read your 2 cents and appreciate you for sharing your perspective. Reading other people's thoughts about the series I watch is often one of the best parts of the series for me.

@rudravarman I agree with everything you said in both of your posts. I guess I blinked when it said 5 years ago. But either way, the episode didn't improve the series for me at all. IMO PorscheArm are the best thing about the series and have been completely underutilized. For them to show up now and have to deal with this anti-gay crap is BS. Both actors deserve a better storyline. JaoNan was the best part of the entire episode so at least there's that!

I started this series looking forward to a BL that felt like a manga that came to life. I ended the series loving all of the characters and being really invested in their arches, but feeling like the BL aspects missed the mark. Koharu and Framboise are two of the best side characters I've seen on tv. Everything that happened with idol group worked well. Focusing on two leads and their way of coping with hardships was something you rarely see and both actors did a wonderful job.

Sadly for the target audience, in so many ways this was more of a bromance than a BL. Knowing that almost all JBLs these days are g rated, I wasn't expecting any skinship. But I was hoping for a reason to believe that the leads were in love. I think this could have worked well as a bromance, but it probably got more views being marketed as a BL instead of a bromance.

Overall, it was wonderful and unique in so many ways, but lacked in ways that also mattered.

P.S. I have no idea why the director thought a 2 minute panorama shot towards the end was a good idea. I still have a headache from sitting through that constant spinning!!!!

I was halfway through the episode before I realized it was a flashback. What in the HELL was that?!?!?!?!? I know the writers have nothing and there's no plot, but wow!!! Why steal the most predictable plot points from every old soap opera/lakorn and shove them into this episode?!?!?!

I praised this show last week for being harmless and unproblematic, clearly I spoke too soon. If the mom gets more than 5 minutes of air time in the next 3 episodes, I'm going to be mad.

Agreed, it should be considered a BL crime to not like those sweet and adorable episodes. Some people may need to go to BL jail!

I only said few because the ratings for the special episodes were low. But I agree those episodes were gold. I'd love to see more of that any day!

Same bestie, same

Everything that works in the series and this episode, works so well that I can ignore the things that don't work. When BounPrem are on camera together, nothing else happening around them matters to me. After waiting sooooo long, this is EXACTLY what I wanted from this series. I enjoy the moments with Dean, Manow, Tul, Pharm, Pruek, Wan and View (whenever Santa comes back), but literally everything else is skippable for me.

I'm one of the few people who loved the Between Us special episodes where WinTeam hung out in their dorm rooms doing nothing. So watching their random interactions as they slowly learn more about each other in the first 3 episodes has been perfect for me! I know I'm biased and I know this show has flaws. But I love it.

Since nearly all the good series of 2022 are over, I decided to binge episodes 1-8 and I'm glad I did. There is basically no plot and scenes are just thrown together, the actors deliver lines like they literally just read them from the script, the side characters are uninteresting and Nhai is a 4-6 year old baby who has only survived this long because the people around him spend all their time taking care of him.

But overall it's harmless and at times sweet. The writers didn't wait until the last episodes for Ai and Nhai to get together and they actually communicate. I'll take that over constant drama, misunderstandings that last weeks, evil exes and poorly directed 18+ content any day! The series isn't good, but it passes the time. I'm sure I'll forget it as soon as it ends, but it's not unwatchable.

P.S. I wish casting directors would stop casting guys who look like brothers as couples in these series. This feels like Force and Book all over again!!!!

I'm gonna miss this series so much when it ends. All of the characters are really enjoyable to watch. The cartoon was so touching even though it was very short. This show has heart, too many BLs these days are missing that. I hope it does well and Strongberry makes a season 2!

Smh on the book ending. It kinda makes me laugh when people Afterday is an amazing writer. I disagree, but to each their own. She is lucky that talented actors were picked to adapt her works for tv!

I don't think Santa is as strong of an actor as Ohm or Nanon, but for an unseasoned actor, he really did a WONDERFUL job. I can't wait to see him in leading roles in the future. The comments section has said so much about Earth that I'm going to just say, I hope his next role allows him to show a different side of himself. He deserves to not be type cast.

After loving the series and waiting nearly two years for the movie, some of the magic was gone. I know JBLs these days are often g rated and I'm usually fine with that. I don't need 18+ content to enjoy a story, but here the chemistry between the leads was what was lacking imo. All of the side characters conveyed more emotion than the MC. So often with BLs the script is the problem, but I thought this movie was well-written (but very predictable and poorly edited). It was just hard to believe that these two were anything more than friends. Maybe the actors didn't feel comfortable kissing and I'll skip my thoughts on that because there is no way to change what's already been made, but it felt like pulling teeth to get a hug.

The last 30 minutes saved the movie for me though. I really liked that part. I also enjoyed all of the side characters. I think it's a fine movie, but a bit of a letdown.

Wow, I would have thought the mom stuff would have been better written in the book than in the show but I guess not. Sounds like we had thoughts about the series. At least the earlier episodes were really good.

ikr, I just rewatched the trailer and kept laughing. I really hope this comes out, I need the hilarity
