First and Khaotung's acting is always topnotch, but this episode was even better. I love that Akk and Ayan were able to spend so much time together this week. The curse and all of the problems going on in the school feel unimportant when they are alone together. Seeing great characters grow and develop over time is such a treat to watch. I say it every week, but I really love this show.
I love horror almost as much as I love BL. I'm usually disappointed by "scary" BLs, but so far I really like this. The plot is different from most Thai BLs and I can't wait to find out what's going on with See-Nam. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
"And I hope more Thai production companies take a chance and make more LGBTQ+ series instead of only focusing…
I agree, but I also don't only blame the audiences. Fans of Thai BLs have been conditioned over the last 5+ years to expect all series that include gay men to focus on their love and even after their series ends for the actors to stay "in love" off-screen. This fantasy has made a lot of money for some production companies and some actors, but it ignores lived experiences of actual gay people. So now that there's a Thai series about gay men that isn't a BL, fans are confused. I wish it wasn't like this, but I don't expect things to change anytime soon.
This was so well made and the acting was so incredibly strong that I'm happy I watched it. Even though Mol ruined a lot of the episodes for me, I BRIEFLY empathized with her situation. The ending was telegraphed early, so I wasn't surprised. It hurts, but it makes sense. Even though Mol "won" both times, it's clear that everyone lost a lot. Yes, Siam married her, yes, Wang left with her, but their hearts are with In. And he's alone. It's truly heartbreaking, but I can hope that one day Wang finds his happy ending with someone else, because In and Mol will always be stuck unable to change.
I'm really glad this exists. And I hope more Thai production companies take a chance and make more LGBTQ+ series instead of only focusing on BL.
Really hoping they got rid of the rape plot because this seems ridiculous in the best way. Unforgotten Night ended, Oh! My Sunshine Night is almost over and the trailer makes me think Love Syndrome could be the next fun over-the-top laugh-out-loud BL. Wow that wig!
Seemed like gang rape to me, I REALLY hope I'm wrong though!
I'm not confirming anything since I haven't seen the show. I saw what I saw in the trailer and I have no context to make sense of that shot.
My opinion is that rape and gang rape happen in the real world. Shows like The Effect show the impact rape can have on people. But most shows (BL or not BL) ignore that and I find shows that do that to be harmful. It's tv and we can all decide for ourselves what we want to watch. Even if there is no gang rape, that trailer shows me that this is not a series I want to see. But I hope the show is good and I wish the best for the young actors.
There are so many red flags in this trailer that I can't. I hope the series is not as salacious as the trailer. Even if the actors weren't teenagers, this would still feel gross.
After finishing siew sum noi, I tried to watch this but I draw the line at ghost rape. I never knew I'd have to draw that line, but the writer really thought that was a good idea in a low budget BL. Dropped!
I wanted to love this mainly since fudamshi's are pretty much ignored in BL. But it focused a bit too much on bartending and after a while the camp went from over the top and funny to farce. Someone like this wouldn't be able to function in society. Overall it's short but felt a bit too long.
I can't recall ever seeing a calmer person than Takara in a series. Him and Amagi are so quiet and adorable together and can't wait for episode 7. But Katori is the real MVP of the show!!
How did this show come out of nowhere and be one of the best series of the year? The writing is so strong and the characters have been developed so well, it doesn't like feel like it's only been 6 episodes. I wish the writing in most BLs was half this good. Also, little Ji Hoon is adorable and I'm praying for a happy ending.
