This just cracked me up! Lololol like there’s no way a multi million / billion dollar co… would move that…
Exactly. I'm guessing the writer has no idea how large companies actually function. But after all these episodes, it's clear the writer doesn't have a clue how the real world works. I'm just finding stuff to laugh at to get through the final episodes.

For a low-budget series, with bad directing and lots of amateur actors, surprisingly this was pretty good. Kind of a Love Sick meets Hometown's Embrace. I liked most of the characters and even though the actor playing Ruk was the weakest, everyone tried. And by the end, all of the actors seemed comfortable in their roles.

I'd enjoy a series with the brothers as the main couple and would love to see the actor who played Katty in a main role.

I didn't think anything could make GMMTV's worst BL seem better, but it happened. Tonhon Chonlatee was awful of because the later episodes, but I still enjoyed the actors and it was competently directed.

This show checks off all of the clichés you'd expect to find in a Thai BL, but so far, lacks the heart the make some series special. I can accept poor directing, amateur acting and bad writing when there are characters that I care about and luckily Porsch and Arm are here and Sippakorn and Nan are wonderful.

Having two people in a long term relationship irl playing a couple in a BL almost never happens. And for me, they are easily the best parts of episode 1. I love the family dynamic.
On Oh! My Sunshine Night Sep 27, 2022
I binged the 1st 12 episodes and only barely made it through by watching on 2x speed and skipping a lot. But I'm glad I stuck around because episodes 12 and 13 finally moved the story forward and didn't only focus on sports, an orchestra, apples and useless/boring dialogue. Now that Kim has something to do, he's mildly more interesting. But sadly Sun is not. As everyone else has said, I wish this show focused on Phayu and Rain, there are almost no Thai BLs that have a young master/servant dynamic and I think their relationship is pretty interesting compared to everything else happening and not happening in the series.

Also, now that the audience knows who the villain is, I'm having almost as much fun with that plot as I did watching trashy Unforgotten Night. The villain is so cartoonish, ridiculous and unthreatening, I can't take them seriously at all. But in a world where there are no police, apples equal medicine and businesses have zero succession plans, I guess it makes sense. 🤣

I agree with most of your comment about mom with the exception of “a manipulative girl who sticks to a man who…
Thanks for your comment, but I never once said it was, "entirely her fault". The audience only has a vague understanding of the dynamics of Siam and Mol's marriage and as far as I can tell, Mol, Siam, In and society are all at fault for what happened. But Siam is dead and not actively causing stress, sadness, or heartache for anyone anymore. But Mol is and that's why my comment focused on her actions instead of Siam. Siam's lack of honesty, failures and shortcomings caused problems for everyone in his life, but dead people can't change. Mol is alive and could be a better mother and friend. She has good intentions, but the impact of her actions hurt those around her and I have limited sympathy for adults who behave that way. As I said in my comment, understanding her perspective doesn't make me like her or empathize with her circumstances above the circumstances of the other two characters.

Whether or not she is homophobic is another matter. Her actions made me believe she is. From her comments to her "friend" in early episodes, to her dismissive conservation with the reporter, to her reaction to finding out her son was gay, IMO these were signs of homophobia. None of us know her heart, but again I'm focused on her actions and when parents of LGBTQ people behave that way, they tend to be homophobic.

I agree. While I appreciate the uniqueness of this bl and it’s artistry it will not go onmy rewatch list. Iam…
I won't be rewatching this one either.

I love everything about your post because I have similar pros and cons. I wish this series was longer because…
I would also love to know more about what In is thinking. These people intruded on his life and brought out memories that he's buried for years. Now Wang is in love with him, but we don't have a clear understanding of what he's thinking or feeling. I wish the writer focused more on him and less on other things.

agree with everything you said.. in my opinion it is beautifully shot and everything is so well done.. the dialogue…
Thanks. I think if it were longer, I'd be less checked out. But like you said, I don't think one episode isn't enough to give an ending that is satisfying and doesn't feel rushed.
What this show does right, it does nearly perfectly. The camerawork, the editing, the sound, each line of dialogue is intentional and impactful, as is each moment of silence. When it started, it felt like this would be the next huge series and a game changer, it's so different from other Thai BLs/gay series and it gets so much right. There's so much uniqueness in the premise and almost no recent Thai BL or gay series have a large age gap, but as the episodes tick by, it feels more and more like it missed the mark in some areas.

I'm fine with a show not being exactly what I wanted. I expect to love some characters and hate others. I appreciate character studies and this series has given us 4. But the palpable romantic tension between In and Wang has disappeared and been replaced with grief and sadness. The lack of episodes means that they skipped the middle where we'd watch these two people fall in love and instead are racing towards the ending where that love falls apart.

I'll never understand why they decided to dedicate most of the story to a person that in nearly every BL and gay series would be the ultimate villain. Or why they thought audiences would want to see a manipulative girl who sticks to a man who doesn't love her until he agrees to marry her, a girl who fractures the relationship between two lifelong friends, an overbearing mother who wants to be the only person her child loves, a manipulative "friend" who uses others to get what she wants without caring about their needs/wants, a person who is casually homophobic, has a disdain for BL audiences and uses tears as a weapon. Usually, villains in these series disappear towards the end or show up late to cause problems, but she's been there (physically or over the phone) to stop In and Wang's relationship growth at nearly every moment throughout 7 episodes. We've been forced to understand her perspective, but knowing her doesn't make me like her or want to spend even one minute with her. And every minute spent with Mol makes me dislike the series slightly more. With only one episode left, I'm tired and I'm ready to never see her again.

I truly wanted to love this series. I appreciate so much about it. No show is perfect, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by this series. I understand if anyone disagrees with me and I'm glad so many viewers are still enjoying it, but this is how I feel about it.

Rewatching this 3 years later makes me so happy that they got a full length series. Tae and Tee both grew a lot as actors and I hope they get another series together soon.

Peak is always good, but the story here was weaker than what I've seen in other Wayufilms. I really enjoyed the last two minutes, but overall this wasn't great.

This gets better every week. Wow, that was just amazing. Seeing Khan slowly accept his feelings for Thua and watching their sweet and innocent relationship grow over time is so precious. Even though First and Khaotung and doing incredible jobs, Neo and Louis bring so much to their characters that it feels like both couples are the focus of the show.

Also, I can't remember the last time I loved a beach episode so much. Everyone had a nice time, the parents were kind, and even though there were tears, no one's relationship got destroyed. I love this show!

Can't really blame Mean and Plan for cashing in their ship for as long as they did. But it's too bad that fans have been trained by crap like this to accept pretty much anything as long as there's even a bit of skinship included.
On (Not That) Innocent Sep 22, 2022
I loved the short series, but this really didn't work for me. It felt like the director and editor wanted to show off everything they learned in film school, but never bothered to get a writer. It's pretty much a trippy music video.

The film was VERY good, but not easy to sit through. I wonder what BL audiences will think of a full series. I'm looking forward to this

This reminded me of BLs from before 2018 and I loved that. The writing was so strong and the characters felt like real people. Even though I hated Guang's parents, they also reminded me of so many parents I've seen in BLs throughout the years and were believable and frustrating.

I wanted this to be my top high school BL of 2022, but the last 2 episodes felt rushed and disjointed. I really wish they didn't drop multiple plot points and had 2 or 4 more episodes. I hope there's a season 2.

I love this show so much. The first episode was bad, but everything since then has been so adorable. It's the perfect high school slice of life, there's no complicated plot, just two boys falling in love. This season of high school BLs has been really wonderful.

I'm really glad Gawin got a leading role. He's a great actor. I'll watch this because he's in it and hope for the best in spite of the circumstances. Hopefully, this leads to more roles with other actors in 2023.
