And to be fair, the trending is mostly disappointment in the cast selection. Yes, they’re all good looking and yes a lot of people like them, but it’s like them as IDOLS. General consensus is that we want actual actors to portray the characters we love so much (especially since TGCF is such a huge IP). We don’t want idols. Looks aren’t everything.

I agree it was completely unnecessary, but at least it was handled well. One of the previews showed how Chu Li handled the issue && one word, 爽. But it did make them go public I think?? Since some paparazzi/news journalists caught them or something.
I would describe this drama as if there was a cliche checklist and they're checking off every single item. If you like cliches, it's pretty good. At the least, it's definitely watchable and possibly even enjoyable, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. I highly recommend trying out the first few episodes and making your own decision because there's no good answer for this one.

I agree that it's a bit unnecessary... although the ending of the arc seems nice at least. I'm glad there's no misunderstandings for once - just two of them together fighting against her - pretty rare in dramas.
