he does get a tiny bit better but he's still not a great guy and is incredibly selfish..honestly not worth watching…
Yeah :( Like they put him there just to provide contrast to the ML and make the ML seem not so bad, instead of creating an actually well-written ML character instead.

Honestly I've been shipping the FL with 2ML even though he's probably toxic in his own way. π But all that smugness of the ML is just annoying, not attractive. And their constant bickering isn't doing it for me either.
How come the entire existance of 2FL revolves just around this one guy?? Everything she does- everything!- has to do with him. And she doesn't even know him that well. Just saw a pretty face at the convenience store and decided that from now on, her entire career trajectory and entire life is revolving around him. Like who does that. π In the real world she would have been called an obssessive stalker, but here it's presented as all cutesy and romantic.
I've been rewatching this drama for a while now, and I'm delighted by the relatable main characters and the plot.…
I feel like she FL ans 2FL are not in the same mental age at all- FL feels like an adult while 2FL is basically mentally a high school kid whose whole world revolves around a guy she has a crush on.
I'm at ep 4, does the ML get any better later? I wanted to give this drama a second chance (dropped it last time due to him being annoying), and I enjoy the drama overall but the ML keeps implying that the FL is sooo incompetent even tho she's doing great, despite the fact that she literally just started working at the company and is put through multiple tests and challenges that no other new employee has been put through?! Just wondering if there is a character growth for him down the road, because I don't think I can watch 36 episodes if it stays like this.
when i was watching it was static at 8.5 until it went u to 8.6 and then it went back down to 8.5... and it remained…
That's just sad. I've heard things like that happen sometimes to cdramas within china- hordes of anti fans (or bots?) decide to spam a drama and drop the ratings, so that it's sometimes impossible to tell anymore which dramas are good because the ratings reflect the fan wars and not the quality of the show. I can't believe this type of thing now spills into MDL as well :(
Dude, why does the rating of this drama flactuate so much? When I started watching it a few days ago it was 8.3, then yesterday I think it was 8.5, and today 8.1??
S4?... And they're only now preparing to start production?...So we're looking at least at a 2-year wait for S3,…
According to comments from a while ago on the SSS page, season 2 of SSS was officially announced :) I don't know when do they actually plan to start filming, and how are they also going to fit JOL 3+4 in between, sounds like a crazy schedule!
Idk, but honestly I want to see him in more non-villain roles, and I know he can play them well too. Otherwise he will always be typecasted as a villain.
The problem with the writer of this article is not that they're writing about actors, it's about the fact that whenever they're writing about actors it's usually in a negative context. I like Dylan and other Chinese actors and actresses, and as an international fan who doesn't have access to Chinese social media, I would love to see more content about them, like inteviews, fun facts, shows they participate in and some positive news! But instead, most of these articles are about "scandals" (which aren't really even scandals..).
Saesang fans? Yeah, they are a big problem but they're nothing new, either. Yes, there should be news articles if a major negative event happens, imo, but other than that, I would love it if this site could be a positive and fun place for us to get to know actors and actresses. And one that respects them also.
I do see articles with more positive content posted about Korean actors. Would love it if there could be such content about Chinese actors/ actresses too.
Beside everything else that's being said in the comments here, I feel like this drama takes sexism to another level too.. On the ep where it's New Year's eve, the FL is scolded by her best friend about the fact that she made a wish for her career first, and only then for her love life, in front of the ML, which apparently dissapointed him and made him decide to not give her flowers like he originally planned. That sure teaches girls and women a lesson about what they should prioritize in life! I mean, if someone prioritizes love above all else, that's great and it's their choice. But why must we shame women who prioritize their dreams and make them feel guilty?
The script is so weird and outdated. This show was a waste of talent for Dylan and Bai Lu, but I'm glad both of them bounced back from that and went on to act in better projects since then.
Just finished rewatching it. This show is so, so brilliant and fun, one of my all time favs. Dylan was freakin born to play Xu Qi An, I can't imagine anyone else in that role. Loved XQA and master Wei's characters, and many other characters. Wish season 2 will be filmed sooner! π
