Just a question for some kindly Thai speaker or subber - I just watched this unsubbed on YouTube on the Official TV3 site. In episode 24, at either the end of part 1 or the start of part 2, Mind is escaping from Sutra's hideaway (in the slowest speed boat ever) and he runs into the water and begins yelling at her, almost begging. I can figure out a lot in this world but what on earth would he yell at her that he thought would change her mind?
This is not a realistic type of love story. And when i say not realistic, i mean NOT AT ALL. The guy is too perfect…
It is nonsense. Silly, sweet, wish-fulfillment nonsense based on a role-play-gaming experience. This show is like cotton candy - don't eat if you don't like super-sweet things - but a little won't hurt you if you care for that sort of thing.
I am just rewatching this and - whoa, is it funnier than I remembered! Plus, after watching The King's Woman, where Zhang Vin is so ferociously handsome, it's nice to see him here trying to not crack a smile with his secret love interest. Rewatch this if you get the chance.
Plus: Episode 30 - who eats like that? Mr. Beauty is eating a home cooked meal - courtesy of KO - and he leaves food bits all over the table!
Really quite funny and charming - if you can stomach the fact that King Chai Suen wants both women at the same time. Yeah, I can take serial romances but not a the same time. Plus, he only wants Beauty because - ta dah - she is pretty. What a sucker. Fala Chen is really the perfect mate. Anyhoo, it is also sweet and funny in a typical Hong Kong, highly technicolor way. I watched it on Dramafever with excellent subtitles.
