Not a hard watch - mostly because Zhao Zhao Yi is so lovely in modern hair and dress - but the storyline doesn't fit modern times as much. When do you go to apply for an office job in office-suitable clothes and then - get a job cleaning up?
The manic music and sudden changes in temperament - ie. sometimes dark and sometimes comic - really made this one hard to watch. Who chose this drama for Yeon Woo Jin? No one gets off except the lovely office mates.
same lol, when it comes out im gonna watch the ending first. If she isnt ending up with sunoh i aint watching…
It is really hard to find a good resolution to a love triangle - there is the classic boy-boy-girl love triangle in Reply 1998 (the one left out is shown going on a date at the end) or a situation where you don't know how the triangle is resolved until the very last moment (like in You Are the Apple of My Eye -2011) but the one where people don't break up - that one is problematic. I'd recommend Jealousy Incarnate (2016) or the hard-to-find Ching Nang (2012). If you want a very sad version of resolving a love triangle - Kita Kita (2017) or Snakes and Earrings (2008).
So the ML’s sister wants him to take revenge on the FML instead of herself to avenge the death of ML‘s sisters…
Even having watched this - it’s still a confusing synopsis. Like any Lakorn - the problem could have been solved by a good conversation or by a trip to a lawyers office!
I don’t know why I never finished this - probably subtitling issues way back when - but it’s just been a joy to finish. Love all the storylines and comeuppances!
I'm not unhappy that I finished this but - it's just not the story I was hoping for. Basically, when you can complete replace first male lead with second male lead and get almost the same storyline - it's not much of a storyline. The secondary characters had more emotional growth than the main characters. This drama did make me more of Ryan Zhang fan, though!
It took me a long time to watch this movie because of Kimi Qiao but I'm glad I did. Surprisingly, I enjoyed all the actors' work but I felt they were let down by such a cliche ridden plot. And when, oh when, will Wang Kai be recognized in Hollywood? He does such a good job portraying all the different emotions of this story that they are missing out on his skills.
