So many pseudo "famous" people and yet the drama is again another mix of dramas we already had 10 000 times ... with a cp with no chemistry... Dramaland in 2025 is yet again boring as hell, and it's sad to witness. No risk taking, no inspiration, no genuine ambition ...
Acting from the cp is good especially from the ml and they have a cute lovely chemistry but damn the writing & directing are cringe & bad ... a lazy work.
Tsui Hark used to be so creative as a director, but these past years he just seems to not know how to adapt to modern time lol or even reflect on his flaws as a director AND ESPECIALLY as a screenwriter ... He stays in his comfort zone, refusing to reinvent himself when clearly it is neccessary. This movie was quite mediocre and hectic af, Xian Zhao needs to chose better movies & dramas, actors far less talented choose way better, ugh such a waste.
This drama is very charming and warm, it was a pleasant suprise, with solid 17 first episodes, good acting & lovely directing. After ep17, the writing was far less interesting, the pacing could've been better too.
The pacing is awful, I was expecting to witness a great chemistry between the cp based on all the comments here but nah, it wasn't, just simply physical chemistry ... I was suprised by the acting of the fl, in a good way.
Extra fun, cute and lovely up until ep22. Then, the drama start to be a bit too cringy and simplistic which made me lose all my curiosity for the drama tbh. I wish they added more depth to the characters and to the story overall to create more balance. But it was a fresh and suprising watch, it's been a while since a modern cdrama was this fun.
This drama could've been much better if it has 16-20eps MAX. The chemistry is very natural, the directing was ok but the screen writing was just decent. The use of the portrayal of the v'olence women have to face deserve a better despiction imo. In this drama (and many others actually) they use it as a piece of mystery to discover gradually as a tool for the story to get engaging for the audience, to grasp their attention instead of having more psychology and depth in the writing (through a true psychological lens and not just the superficial aspect of it) and I have huge issues with that ... The mix between heavy subjects and some fan services scenes also kinda made the tone of the drama not convincing enough despite the main actress trying her best to deliver a credible portrayal of her character. The acting wasn't deep enough but the lack of deep dialogues was far more annoying.
I won't even attempt to try the 2nd or 3rd season, I'm gonna pretend the drama only has one season. The cast being filled with deranged toxic or trashy korean men is no suprise... the way they gave them more screentime cause they love that western cloud so much, truly pathetic.
I never rate a drama or a movie I haven't watch fully, but this one is gonna be my exception, disrespecting an ongoing genoc'de is crossing the line for me. FCK THEM.
K-ent simply love disrespecting anything that is not korean or ... white. Yikes. I put this one on hold after ep 6 (cause I ended up not liking the writing, too many fan services scenes for my taste) and now I'm gonna drop it for good, fck ur nasty propaganda !
'Paltima', 'Izmael' like please this is soooo cringy lmao, not only cringy AF but also such a coward of a writer ... them doing this aka deceiving the fans of this drama PRECISELY at the very ending of it is no coincidence ...
