I don't think Yun Wei Shan's mission is to kill the ML or other characters. Maybe finding some hidden secrets from the Gong residence and deliver it to wufeng!? Because YSX gave a spoiler(correct me if I'm wrong) that YWS is capable of being a mei or up, but as she cannot kill innocents she remained a chi.
Now i highly doubt when GYZ first appeared to kill the brides or reveal the assassin's identity YWS moved to kill ZY. Because that'd be a suicide move. SGQ stopped her midway so we don't know what exactly she was going to do. Maybe she'd try to take ZY hostage and run away from there🤔 she has her own way of dealing things and that includes no kill to innocents.

Her actions are very subtle, her expressions also. that's why some people who aren't fully invested into this drama may found her expressionless. But if you concentrate you'll find her super cool and kind.

When SGQ gestured the FL don't drink the tea, it's poisonous she thought (or acted naive) SGQ was asking her to poison the tea so she dropped a little bit of her nail polish into the tea and gave it to the girl. Actually SGQ planned to kill the girl slowly and YWS tried to save her with the nail polish poison which showed the symptoms within a day so the guards found out early and started her treatment.

I'm changing my mind. I liked GSJ for his smarty brain and handsome appearance but episode by episode he's getting more annoying. How could he talk with a woman like that and lecture her on what she should do or not? Did he bring SGQ inside the palace just to insult her in front of his brother and servants everyday? The girl's crime hasn't been proven yet. What if she weren't an assassin, her innocent heart could get hurt.
