1st episode was fun. sweet bickering + chemistry overloaded🔥 I won't say it was great but definitely it's worth waiting. It's clear that both leads' moms are more rivals than friends😂 like most of asian moms who have a common friends circle. Beating up adult children in asian household is also common, it's like a love language🤭 westerners won't understand. The 2nd couple's first meeting was cute🥰 'thats how i met your mom/dad' type of love story. The leads' story does look like a typical 'friends to lovers' at first glance but it's holding more secrets and hard emotions which would take time to bloom i guess. Enjoying both so far👍

'coming from a rich family' -is just an excuse of haters to belittle her tallent because they can't find any other flaws to drag her. 'she acts childishly' is another one. Well, she doesn't act childishly when she's not filming. She's pretty matured and organised in real life but not boring. She makes friends easily, makes people comfortable around her. Most of her co-stars and producers want to work with her again and again .....you can see it in their interviews or check it in her drama list.
Overall Esther Yu is an interesting person. She does silly things sometimes, but also helps others without asking, donates secretly from time to time and always show love to her fans.

Well, asian communities are obsessed with skin brightening and smoothing. They've this weird beauty standard to doll up everyone who comes before the camera. So, we, outsiders can't do anything about it. If these small issues provoking you, you can skip this series, no need to waste your valuable time.
Actually I always have overlooked these things because I'm here for drama, good plot, heart-touching dialogues and amazing acting. And it's a fantasy drama as the title says, so overly pretty characters are not a bother to me.
Before watching SF6 I didn't pay much attention to Xukai. Now watching WOL just for him and he's amazing in it… if Jinzhao is adorable, Ni is charming. Both won my heart🥺
Why would you care about light settings, makeups or CGI when the story is interesting, acting is top class, OSTs are amazing and cp chemistry is on fire??
This is just a drama, which is based on a video game, of course the costumes will be different than other period dramas. And the actors will act according to their given characters.
