Agree with you 100%... Esther personally is a little ball of sunshine so when she takes roles like Orchid, Chu Li or Yu Meiren, she uses all her energy to make them alive. Imo Yu Meiren is the hardest character she played till now. If a bad actor did that role, she'd mess up badly because a woman chasing a man and doing all those stuff to draw his attention is borderline cringe. Remember how everyone criticised OHN from playful kiss?? But with Esther, Yu Meiren was cute and funny, not cringe at all. How can we say YWS is better than little orchid? All three stages of that character, from an immature flower fairy to the goddess of Xishan, was perfectly done by her. YWS is special because we got to see that sexy cold side of her but to me her other dramas are equally important.

Why's this so painful as well as so sweet!! Enjoyed every bit like I've been starving for a perfect bl my entire youth. Go Yeong made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions- anger, sadness, pity, and most of all anxiety. But in the end i was left with a genuinely happy heart. I believe he'll find happiness because he's a person 'full of love'..... LOVE can't stay away from him🤧
Please don't worry about the screentime guys. The trailer had to show the visual effects and the context in short. It's just an introductory part. Not the whole book. Because this is my first life was my first drama of her, she was absolutely adorable there with a baby face and bangs covering her forehead. She was the same in her next few dramas. Here with her full face showing she's looking more mature and prettier too. I think she hasn't gone through any surgeries, just the age and weight loss made her face slimmer

1st episode was fun. sweet bickering + chemistry overloaded🔥 I won't say it was great but definitely it's worth waiting. It's clear that both leads' moms are more rivals than friends😂 like most of asian moms who have a common friends circle. Beating up adult children in asian household is also common, it's like a love language🤭 westerners won't understand. The 2nd couple's first meeting was cute🥰 'thats how i met your mom/dad' type of love story. The leads' story does look like a typical 'friends to lovers' at first glance but it's holding more secrets and hard emotions which would take time to bloom i guess. Enjoying both so far👍
