If I don’t like the female lead, is it still worth watching this drama?
This is a lot better than Judge from Hell, where she was kinda one-dimensional. She is either a person-in-control nasty grumpy killer or is kissing her boyfriend... In general, I am not fond of that kdrama. That is the only other drama I saw her in. In this kdrama, she is a tough "financial police" officer and a fake girly girl 20 yr old and she deals with financial and corporate ppl, criminals, spies, nasty chaebols, guys courting her, guys kidnapping her, nasty dorm general, AND roommate situation with naive young and old girls and clever kids, plus her own family.
In short: her character in this drama has to interact, respond to, adjust to, blend with, apease and make peace with a wide variety of different people and even children, she is under the command of many others, so her acting has to show more, and IT DOES :) She is really really fun to watch.

he is nailing down this drama... he is perfect in his role. His acting is rather ..... subtle, you have to watch his face to see the eyes etc. Like the scene in the dorm room, his begging doggy eyes at FL are hilarious amazing masterful acting, He showed a whole range of acting - a scary elevator scene, several awkward dinners and handshakes, etc. He is a great actor. he didnt have many scenes, but they are all powerful.
I am curious, which dramas did you drop where he was ML? I want to investigate this phenomena where an actor can be stellar in one place - like here - and supposedly not so good in others, like the dramas you dropped. I want to figure out how it works :) I never saw him anywhere beore. This drama is a masterpiece so I want to figure out WHY and HOW it works. Thanks.
YES :) The tiny handshake and the scary elevator scene show a LOT of pain, hurt and grief for BOTH. They still have A LOT OF alive feelings... but she is not gonna take him back bc he messed up and she is mad at him, and he is mad that she is rejecting him, and THAT approach to her is NOT going to work... . AND he is hunting her down - seems like he is trying to come back. But he is using wrong methods... But then.. she rushes to help him at the dorm... she still cares for him... And he loves her so much. I am 100% convinced after I saw him look at her with begging doggy eyes in the dorm room, and she scolding him like an angry wife. He loves her and is very hurt that she dumped him and is still rejecting him. But he messed up in the past... and did not try to come back nicely and properly .... he deserves to be dumped and scolded :) let us see how he tries to come back LOL and if he succeeds :) If he shows her that he has integrity, he has a chance, imo.
there was just a few scenes, but they are all powerful scenes and indicate 100000% chemistry and underlying deep love and lots of hurt from the past. I kinda numbered the scenes in a post below.

Your post sounds like blind hate. To make yourself credible, you should list dramas where you think he acted badly, and why you think so.
I have never seen that actor before. BUT IN THIS DRAMA, HE IS 1000% EXCELLENT ACTOR, THE NEW CEO SEEMS REAL. All his scenes are powerful. I totally love his acting. His guilty doggy eyes begging FL in the dorm are precious and hilarious. He loves her. The chemistry of the tiny handshake and the scary elevator scene shows a LOT of emotions, love, pain, grief, hurt from the past. All dorm scenes - esp she rushing over to help him, and their eye exchange, he begging with doggy eyes and she scolding him, show that they both deeply care for each other. Overall, 1000% chemistry. IT IS SAD THAT YOU MISSED IT ALL. That actor is a masterful actor with lots of experience and amazing acting skillZ. To pull it off like that requires skillZ. And, that actor DOES look very attractive too. He is just not a plastic surgery pretty boy. Honestly, I like that. A real face, not plastic. All pretty boys look pretty much the same, most of them cannot act, and that is boring. In short, I and many other people like acting of the new CEO actor and his presence in the drama. He did a few scenes, but ALL his scenes are super powerful and memorable.

Albert is dead serious calling someone in the garden of his house, then Albert and moustached man in a gray shirt are sitting in the front seats of a car. The man is looking through a very thick envelope filled with money, seems like ALbert gave him that and the man is smiling and Albert's face is wth grumpy anxious thought. The man's face is so blotted out, I am not sure if that is Mr. Kang... the neck and face look awfully thin from the profile. Mr. Kang was a tall and rather meaty man, stronger build. But there is one scene from the back of the neck and it COULD be Mr. Kang. The man in the stripey shirt is a rather tall and thick middle aged man. So it could be.... :)
Seems like Albert bribed someone, or is supporting someone secretly, and it is a very dangerous and heavy job for him.
Or he is putting money into the slush fund via cash - BUT I DOUBT IT. I dont think Albert is a bad guy.
I think Albert knows who Miss Hong is and is somehow concerned about the company and helping in his own way - and possibly only out of concern for his own as@.

omg!!!! omg omg!!!! Albert has some heavy karma and heavy conditions in his life - his own father is a slimey parasitic killer who might have killed Albert's mother, the grandpa is evil for sure, and the whole family plus Ms Song is pretty much evil except Nora, who is dumb, and Mr. Kang, who is supposedly dead now. I checked the preview more carefully and found the shot of the moustached man.... See spoiler

Seems like you missed a whole thread with many people who praised that actor and his acting abilities, and ppl who specifically came to watch this drama bc of him :) He *is* a great actor and he *is* very good looking :) and *many* ppl think that. Albert is a big mystery :) But he certainly never saw real her, and he is not gonna like it :) She is a superhero and very militant about it. Only a seasoned warrior like a super ethical version of the new CEO could keep up with her, I totally agree with you.
My favorite comical moments for this episode: Miss Hong at the office meeting, with her pink hairpin and fuzzy pink pencil, with that look on her face - combo of a stare into air imitation of "where am I, what's going on" clueless 20-yr old face, and a determined glare "i am here dont you dare question that I am 20 yr old"... LOL PSH is an amazing amazing actress.
New CEO leaving the elevator and Albert quizzing him LOL the new CEO had such an anxious uncomfortable "please get me out of here!" look on his face, the face of someone who was worried he will be reported for sexual harassment, and definitely, the subject of major gossip .. it was hilarious. New CEO leaving the dorm room, his hair all messed up, his eyes secretly looking from under and up at FL, with the pain in his eyes, and the begging, the guilty doggy look, .... exactly the same face when a dog does wrong, gets scolded and comes crawling back LOL Omg he is totally hers.... :) ... that one scene shows EVERYTHING about him... and she shakes her head and pouts "get lost" lips and googly fierce eyes LOL But... just a few moments before, when he fell on the street, she immediately sped up RAN! over to him, in one fast swoop, FAST! bent down, hugged him and helped him get up, so worriedly asking him if he was ok. Hmmm....... she ran to him too fast... and forgot to call Albert :) Those two are still connected as a pair. But he messed up and she is mad at him.... He has no chance unless he pulls a miracle, showing her that he *does* have integrity. And yeah he was scary in the elevator. That man does not sit still, he TAKES ACTION and holds you accountable, no lies, and he just bulldozes forward.

The grumpy officemate with massage stick, his swollen eyes looking up like an old wrinkled dog... The cruel matter of fact bullying face of the other office boss.... Soooo many totally hilarious and amazing well done scenes.

That new CEO actor is a master actor, he was not on the screen a lot so far but every time he showed up, it was powerful and memorable. This is the first time I ever saw him, I think, and I am impressed.
One thing I look forward to in each episode is the appearance of Mr. Yun, HGB's boss...he's hilarious!
He can do hilarious funky roles like here, ACT NATURALLY! lol but he can also act deep real stuff, like in Divorce Insurance, he was this old time top salesman who always worked and never came home, got liver problems from business drinking, and his wife filed for divorce after ... 60? yrs of marriage... . So he went through all that grief and then crawled back to her, all new and shiney, and they made up. It was a heartwrenching role of an office rat who rotted at the office and almost lost his family. It was funny too, but also tragic and he acted all of it so well. He can act nasty, in Strong Woman Bon Soon he was a bully.

One of my fav shows ever. I find it really funny, deep and meaningful. I have never seen any of the actors in this drama except one of my favs, the funky Boss of FL, but now I have gained a ton of fav actors via this drama. I learned to really appreciate comic acting of PHS and a few others here. They are all excellent. Ep 1 is kinda sketchy plot (lots of obvious holes) but that doesnt matter LOL it sets the tone. From then on, every ep is better and better. The twists are wicked :) Dont assume anything and keep yourself on your toes :) Although this is not a thriller, it is very very very well mysteriously done :) I rated this 10/10 I have been laughing a lot with this drama and really really enjoying it. Excellent script, acting, and filming, and an amazing back-forth between super serious deep dark stuff and MAJOR HILARIOUS comedy . Every actor in this drama is exemplary, every character is well thought off, and the plot is very meaningful.
