So far it is the same role she always did, like in Crushology 101 or Witch - a half dead/ slow motion confused immature weak loser. Which fits the character here SO FAR IN EP 1.

But from EP 2 on, it is the mom of the baby, so being pathetic is a no go. If she cannot act an alive, lively, radiant, strong loving giving present grounded caretaker for the baby, then a truck of doom should show up and give a new mom to the baby. She will have to move around, to run, and to be full of energy to take care of the baby. I have NEVER seen her in a role like that. If she cannot do it, she should be out asap.

So let us keep our fingers crossed that she can pull it off. I would hate to see another drama ruined by her acting.

Yes FL is adequate for ep 1. Now comes ep 2 with the baby, that is the test of FL's acting ability. I have never seen her act lively radiant present grounded mature giving person. But she gotta pull it off here or else there should be a truck of doom and a new mom for the baby :)

Here, her loser no-energy style fits perfectly for this role and she is not doing a bad job. I have no complaints about her acting in ep 1.
And seems like she will grow some spine in future episodes.

So let us keep our fingers crossed that she DOES attend acting lessons while filming this and can actually act an alive and lively person, not just a half asleep body moving around like a zombie. For that, I think she first needs to eat and exercise and put some muscle on her, she looks like she has been starving forever and has no energy in her.

SO let us keep our fingers crossed she actually evolves her acting with this drama and that FL becomes alive and lively .

I saw her as FL in Crushology 101 and she was acting TERRIBLE and her role was terrible, she was a total loser Bunny. I dropped that drama too. I could not stand watching her, it was sooo pathetically LIFELESS. That seems to be her signature style, LIFELESS ZOMBIE LOSER.

In this drama, precisely bc she is so used to acting total losers, she actually fits and is acting OK for this role. It is not too bad. for ep 1.

Now comes ep 2 and there is the baby so FL has to act stronger and lively, so ... can this actress pull it off... ????

She is soooo skinny, frail, lifeless, that it is pathetic, she really LOOKS like a loser. She needs like 40 lbs more on her and some muscle.
Hopefully the drama is making her character here become stronger in every way.

I absolutely LOVE this drama!!!!! The plot is really powerful and meeaningful, and the acting is great!
I am not sure why ppl are complaining about FL actress as not able to act? Her character is that kind of meek skinny immature not-energetic "girl" so she perfectly fits here and is excellent in this role IN EP 1. I am glad FL grows spine, based on the preview.
Ep 1 was ok to be pathetic, lifeless, not energetic FL. BUT NOW THERE IS EP 2 AND ON WITH THE ENERGETIC LIVELY RADIANT BABY AND FL HAS TO MATCH THAT.

There will be a transition period when this lifeless, low energy, selish, energetic vampire and loser has to adjust to the vibrant lively mode of a toddler and GIVING LOVE.... So let us say 1-2 episodes where she struggles to match the baby .

So far I have never seen that actress in a lively alive radiant role and I am not sure she CAN act that. I totally hated her acting in Crushology 101 and The Witch, she just looks sad, lost, confused, anxious, and stares in the air. That is not gonna work for a baby drama.

So EP 4 or so IS THE TRUE TEST OF FL ACTING. So far all her roles I have seen are totally lifeless zombie-like losers. THAT is a no-go for ep 4 and on, and taking care of the baby. FL actress has to act strong and lively to convey being a good mom to the baby. So if she cannot pull it off in ep 4 or 5 the latest, then send a truck of doom and get a new mom to the baby. Period.

ML actor is acting excellent, he brings in comedy too. He is one of my fav actors.

The baby is phenomenal. I hope the filming does not traumatize him.

I think there is the issue of their dad in jail. I suspect that the older brother hid the younger brother to save him.
However, once the dad was in jail... older brother SHOULD have contacted the bro again. Perhaps he couldnt bear to show up out of blue. But that is cowardly :) That is my educated guess.... Or was there another issue? We will see :)

How to judge? well it is very subjective in many ways.... so nobody can really judge... But there are some indicators you are watching some good acting.

"As if in real life" style good actors make it look like there is no actor acting. They make it look like you are watching real people in real life.
If the actor is pulling you into the story so that it seems like the actor IS that character and you forget that you are in a story, and everything seems real, like you are THERE with these real people doing real stuff, then it is a great actor. Example - Humphrey Bogart in 1940 iconic movie Casablanca.....

Who is it for you? For me recently, it was FL villain in the Glory and a reporter in Not Nice to Meet You - she was a perfect villain in one drama and a perfect nerdy reporter in another drama; or ML in Idol I; or actors in To my Beloved Thief; many actors in Incognito Miss Hong, etc Those actors all seem "real" like real people are living their lives right in front of you.

Any actor who makes you FEEL the story with the characters is a good actor. Have you gotten really angry or annoyed at a character, or really sad about them, or really happy, etc? That is a good actor who made you feel... Like Gong Nan Suk loan shark mama in A Graceful Liar. Villain killer in Queen Mantis. Silly teenage girl, 2FL, in Spring Fever. etc

If the actor has pulled you into some kind of "exaggerated story" and made you forget the outside world and made you focus only on what they are doing (and even made you FEEL - laugh, cry, etc) then it is a great actor. Example: Charlie Chaplin, PHS in Incognito Miss Hong, etc. Many ppl in IMH are switching between this style and the "as if in real life" style, which crates great comedy and a lot of tension, bc you never know what will happen next, so it is really really fun.
