I understood that that weird Discord boy found the phone and reactivated the deadly app, I just do not understand his motivation. WHY did he do that... ? He knew that the app kills and HJ died... so his reactivating it does not seem like just mere curiosity....

I CONFIRMED WITH OTHER WATCHERS THAT THIS REVIEW IS TOTALLY WRONG!!!!

I fast forwarded through a lot of this drama, making sure to skip all the gory scenes and watch only what matters.
At the end of ep 8 I saw that the end is only 3 kids and 2 shamans, and male shaman eyes turn red - THIS IS CORRECT. THERE IS ONLY 3 KIDS LEFT.

he has dark glasses on, he says he found a way to save lady shaman, and he takes the shades off and the eyes are red. ??? why ??? just bc he can see the Unseen after his eyes got injured, or did he turn into a demon? Other users think it is just bc he can See the Unseen now.

I only understood that Hwood seeks feedback - i take your word for it - and for the rest, i do not undertand what you are saying, and i am unable to respond.

This drama is about absolute stupidity of ppl who do NOT listen and who think certain things are a joke or some kind of fun, and who utter wishes which are totally ... inappropriate, and who make actions that are totally inappropriate - and then cause unnecessary trouble like crazy

For example: the shaman's daughter wishing that her mother dies. then getting soooo mad about the talisman that she publicly ridiculed her friend; the "pretty boy" who beat up the friend; and then friend wishing they all die and hurting herself. THOSE ARE VERY DUMB STUPID ACTIONS

This drama is really a lesson on karma and what not to do. It is spiritual equivalent of "dont drink and driver or else you will get in trouble."

The drama is quite cringe and totally Hogwarts kind of stuff for young ppl

BASICALLY THE MESSAGE OF THIS DRAMA IS TO STAY CALM, PAY ATTENTION, NOT GO TO PLACES THAT FEEL WEIRD, NOT HANG OUT WITH PPL WHO FEEL WEIRD, AND NEVER WISH OR SAY OR BEHAVE IN WAYS THAT ARE LESS THAN EXEMPLARY

the whole drama is about the law of karma
and the demonic forces that help to execute bad karma

I take back what I said that Professor's wife was dumb. She is the smartest one of all characters. As soon as she LEARNED the truth, she acted to clear the mess. Smart, confident, brave adult woman.

HOWEVER the bait of showing smart Professor's Wife is not enough to clear the cesspool of JM. That hot pile of script is super smelly and the flies are all over, the drama cannot survive until that is cleaned up

cdramas already self destroyed. China cut out art degrees from universities, bc of AI, and is using AI generated movies. So short drama industry is now wiped out by AI dramas. So all those porcelain doll actors are gonna be replaced by AI bc they cannot act and their facial expression is so ... simple one sided.

So the only left standing will be AI movies and real art movies with real actors who can act.

So far the only one left standing telling real stories, with "ok we found ourselves in cesspool, we are suffering, lets try to climb out, ouch that is so much hard work, but we try we try and YEAH we succeed!!!" real plots with meaning are kdramas. There are tiny specs in some other countries but kdramas generally got this - and then we got cheap counterfeit copies by others and the whole thing went down the drain esp with short verticals and now AI. So if kdramas go down the drain too, we will lose the real art for good.
So this is a serious subject actually, to help kdramas maintain their quality

I want to totally dissect and analyze this trash plot, bc that is the only way it can be fixed.

First of all, it would be total trash to indirectly give everything on the silver platter to JM. *** JM HAS TO EARN HER TRANSFORMATION AND BH**** JM cannot be saved by Lawyer's wife or whatever, and BH cannot just take her as is. JM turned evil and she must pay to redeem herself.

I already did this analysis for drama Pearl in Red, bc it uses the same plot, so I am sorry if this is a repeat, and I appologize for the length. It is complicated

and HJ from Pearl in Red is just like Junk Ho.*** like the same writer wrote both stories.

In both dramas, two brothers love the same woman, and she loves and happily dates one brother - but then offers to marry the OTHER brother to use him for the sake of her "revenge".
And in both dramas, this plot causes the drama to go to trash and lose audience and rating.

SO NOW THE 2 DRAMAS ARE IN COMPETITION TO RESOLVE THE SAME TRASH PLOT :) First Man was tanking real fast and is trying to resurrect itself by giving itself 40 episodes to do so... . Let's see if it will...

THIS IS PRETTY MUCH A COPY OF WHAT I POSTED IN PEARL IN RED BEFORE I SAW THT FIRST MAN WAS EXTENDED... and I just added names. This is my analysis of what is really going on and why the writer should not mess with stuff they shouldnt mess with or else the drama goes under.

IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITHI PEARL IN RED, READ THIS PARAGRAPH: In Pearl in Red, Min Ju and Jin Ju love each other, MJ's father kills JJ's father and takes his company... Jin Ju somehow survives that attack, and comes back under name Chloe and hides her identity as she wants revenge. Min Ju's half brother HJ fell in love with Jin Ju and discovers that Chloe is her, and doesnt tell MJ and pursues Chloe. MJ still loves JJ and falls in love with Chloe. Chloe aka Jin Ju still loves Min Ju.
AND JUST LIKE IN FIRST MAN, CHLOE ASKS HJ TO MARRY HER SO THAT SHE CAN USE HIM FOR REVENGE, and she promises to try to love him.

**** Chloe is just like Jang Mi, and HJ is just like Junk Ho.*** like the same writer wrote both stories.
SO THIS IS HOW BOTH DRAMAS USE THE SAME TRASH SCRIPT TO TANK DOWN

Chloe/JM dummie decides "there is no other way" - although there is - and puts "revenge for the sake of her parents" as the priority #1 in her life, sacrificing herself AND OTHERS in the process. In other words, THE DARK SIDE OF KOREAN SEXISMs and making FL very dumb and powerless.

HJ/Junk Ho decides to cheat, lie to get his chick, to give up his brother and mother/family for the sake of marrying Chloe/JM
HJ/Jnk Ho gave up HIMSELF waiting like a beggar that Chloe/JM love him - while he sees she does NOT love him, mistreats him, and she actually likes the brother and the brother loves her -

HJ/JH has an evil mother but lived his life as a decent person. and now he is regressing to his mother's genes, mutating.

HJ/JH's whole life and his whole existence is at the crossroads, where he MUTATES from a normal and decent person into fully exploding his mom's genes and lying cheating GRABBING WHATEVER HE WANTS REGARDLESS OF THE "no you can't/shouldnt have that".

And he is grabbing a woman he loves bc she was also was a normal decent person - but she also mutated into the same kind of egoistical monster. SO HIS LOVE IS DESTROYED ALREADY BEFORE IT EVEN BEGUN. He is not getting whom he loved and the love he wanted ..... bc they got together by lies, they got together bc she mutated into a monster, and he mutated into a monster.

this is a lot for HJ/JH!!!!!! it is causing him pain and driving him off the rails!!!!! So the key part here is - will he stop now before he fully cements in that mutated version, i.e. no way back, or he will save himself and Chloe/JM AND HIS BROTHER AND FAMILY and pull back?

Although the pain and suffering is great from having this woman who is not really the woman he wants, and who clearly does not love him, THE TEMPTATION IS TOO STRONG! HJ/JH is basically a junkie going for a fix.

and that is why Chloe/JM is an idiot to have the marriage thing started, bc IT DESTROYS HJ/JH, and so it is a very heavy karma for Chloe/JM and HJ/JH and everyone, as HJ/JH is seriously going off the rails AND CHLOE/JM IS PARTLY RESPONSIBLE BC SHE BAITED HIM INTO THE TRAP, KNOWING HE COULD NOT RESIST. Chloe/JM is like a drug dealer, and HJ/JH is like a junkie.

And that is why the script writers for both dramas are idiots to pursue these kinds of plots. First, it destroys the story, and second, it destroys the acting. HJ/JH and Cloe/JM from now are condemned as 1-dimensional characters and their acting is limited.

The drama could have moved on into the richness by exploring these suicidal temptations without fully committing to them. Hj/JH and Chloe/JM have a great chance to get a super complex and rich script that would allow for amazing acting.

In First Man too, Jang Mi is also using the same concept of marriage that INTENTIONALLY puts a vedge between 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and is destroying herself, her lover, his brother, and her sister in the name of some stupid dumb "revenge" that isnt really even a revenge... and that killed the drama.

The same grabbing plot also killed A Graceful Liar.

These are not simple lighthearted things for the drama, this is some demonic destructive SUPER SELFISH AND DUMB "KAMIKAZE BOMBER" SUICIDAL/KILLING behaviors that should never go beyond just having that thought in the mind and then discarding it.

So this is why I am against super dumbly destructive meaningless pointless dramas like A Graceful Liars and such muck. There are better ways to make a script.

Also, even if something this monstrous happens, the drama has to be about HEALING it, and not about going deeper and deeper into the cesspool, like in Hwood or cdramas.

The goal of any good storytelling is or the character to realize they got themselves into a cesspool and to show HOW TO GET OUT OF CESSPOOL. That is where the richness of the script and acting comes from!!!! The "happy end" will be based on the amount of effort and the ability of the characters to metamorphose their inner landscape and accept living in a higher state.

THat is what kdrmas are famous for. If this unique and precious feature of kdramas is just turned off to appease hwood and cdrama fans, it would be a great loss

I broke up with First Man and am enjoying Our Happy Days :) esp bc ML there finally "woke up" and the drama took off and is super fun to watch, bc now FL now bounces off ML and SML/SFL as well as aunt/uncle and grandma/grandpa are excellent too, and they are totally hilarious, fun, deep and endearing... . highly recommended! That drama is very high quality, it is just a long "regular" drama. It is very comfortable to watch bc the script is excellent, the acting is now great, and it is filmed so well with great music too. A high quality drama.

So after concluding all that on my own, I did some research and found out that Our Happy Days has 1800 viewers and 10.1% rating and is #1 in S. Korea. Pearl in Red has 1300 viewers 7% rating, and First Man has less than 1000 viewers and less than 6% rating.

So that's why they are extending First Man for 20 episodes, to try to bring the ratings up and fix the mess this dumb script writer created with JM. The script writer was asleep and then woke up with this kamikaze dumb JM plot and totally bombed the audience, so to get out of it, they added more plots and now the mess is so much it requires 20 more eps to fix.

20 MORE EPISODES BY GOOD ACTORS AND GOOD SCRIPT -

NOW WHOEVER IS WATCHING IS WATCHING MOSTLY BC SIDE CHARACTERS ARE STARTING TO EXPLODE - SH, SR, Chairman's son, Professor's Wife, BH/Chairman story, Chairman will be exploding soon...

The drama ppl COULD try to fix the mess by continuing with JM's stupidities ... which will alienate the audience even more. Really the ONLY way forward - if MBC wants to save its reputation - is to asap evolve JM or at least totally curb her and marginalize her as dumb and harmful.

This plot of a stupid woman wedging between two brothers to INTENTIONALLY DESTROY BOTH for the 'sake of revenge" is also used in Pearl in Red, and they took that from A Graceful Liar. I dropped AGL as a total piece of trash.

As for exercise - I cannot see clearly from your pic but the way you speak - are you of African roots? I am traditional African dancer and drummer. That gives lots of energy actually. Trad African music from West Africa, what was Mali empire, works the best. The moves are in kung fu too, and music like kora is kinda like sitar but even better in terms of what it does to the mind and body

I agree with everything you said, except SR learning that JM was trying to protect her by stealing her man... JM told JH to seduce her and that she will try to love him...
SR cannot be impressed at all by JM's behaviors... and I think should ditch JM to a great extent as a burden family.

The realistic thing though is that SR give up on "her man" Junk Ho after she realizes that he fell for her sister and ditched her, SR ... and that JH is a very low quality man

I vote that SR and BH get together and JM and JH quietly disappear

They all should be fighting to be BH's love bc he is DA MAN

JM at this point has to work hard to earn it bc she clearly showed she didnt deserve him

he is definitely the "first" man bc he is the only truly good character in this drama, in fact he is what you would call a "noble" character of very high integrity and consciousness. He is not one of the smartest in the world for sure :) but as a human being, he is top notch
