I just watched this week's episodes bc someone here posted they were decent, and yeah, they are. JM is finally doing smarter business moves and openly affectionate to BH, that's progress :) Other than that .... it is all mostly external actions and not character growth.. Ok to be more precise... seems like Lawyer mom finally overcame clinging to MopHeadProfessor... and Chairman finally overcame despising "lower class" SH... and JH is deeper and deeper into collaborating with the evil guys.... so yeah those are some character developments. But how it is filmed... it just goes through external motions, not the inner emotional work of getting there... Something is missing in filming this drama... it lacks DEPTH

I think Chairman's heart is gonna collapse asap before he puts it all on paper... Beating up HY is gonna cause a heart attack... - did he discover fake pills yet?

Hey these "drugs" to improve study skills are THE heaviest "drugs" in Korean schools so far.

I am from the USA where those things are not even considered drugs lmao and majority smokes marijuana like cigarettes

So when I say DRUGS I mean the real drugs like cocain, crystal meth, heroin, opioids, etc DRUGS TAKEN SPECIFICALLY TO GET HIGH, AND 100000% PRESENT IN DAILY LIFE AND SCHOOLS IN THE USA

************This kdrama is sooooo watered down version of what actually happens in the USA for real every single day in most schools ***********

Korea was drug-free society but seems like it is starting to get in. But it can never be as bad as the USA where the schools are infested with REAL HEAVY drugs like cocaine, crystal meth, heroin, all kinds of opioids, guns, armed drug gangs, shootings, etc.

So I stand for what I said - this drama is a watered down version of what happens in the USA, the USA is a **** lot **** worse. Marijuana as cigarettes, heavy drugs, guns, s.x, gangs, police, shootings, ... gangs with all that.... yeah. Even in "nice" schools.
AND, IN THE USA, MOST KIDS ARE ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS FROM VERY YOUNG AGE.

and most adults are on drugs... Practically all smoke / eat marijuana.... it is legal... and 65% adults are on heavy drugs like cocaine, crystal meth, heroin, opioids (usually pain killers)

and I would say practicaly entire population of the USA, from very young like 5 yrs old to very old, on antidepressants.... sleeping pills.... painkillers....

Luckily there are some nice schools in nice hoods and some normal healthy parents, but even there...

So I am speechless as to how you / all USA teachers can live in danger for their life every day and how the society tolerates all that - but imo the reason is that ADULTS ARE ON DRUGS AND TOO BUSY MAKING/SPENDING MONEY so kids are totally unimportant.

The USA is totally rotten from the inside, from its core.

MJ actor is improving but still he needs more work to be less STIFF. I have to think about specifically what it would be.
First the voice. He needs voice lessons. His voice is too weak and also too flat. He needs to speak properly from his core, and express emotion in his voice.
Second... the body.... he doesnt move his body at all. The neck is stuck in one place, the body is totally 100% stiff. The only scenes where he is mobile is lovey dovey scenes with Yu Na. then instinctively the actor does it correctly bc of his body memories lmao So he needs to somehow translate that into his acting.

He just needs to look more ALIVE and comfortable in himself. MJ is an anxious person but still the actor is not conveying that anxiety, he is conveying forced stiffness.
I am not an expert so someone who has the skillZ has to help this actor. I just report what I see. So yedra, provide some ideas!!!!

HJ actor is turning into a raising star bc he can express such a wide range of emotions. He is ALIVE in his role and he creatively made it very rich and detailed. Really, without him, the drama would have flopped, but bc of him, the drama is more rich and interesting, he is carrying the drama. Villain JR is recently a lot more interesting, and Chairman was always interesting, but HJ is the only good guy who is emoting and thus interesting. The other characters are more on the supporting side. Aunt/Mom is a quiet person but she feels real and alive, the actress is able to pull it off. However, you cannot have the drama with all "quiet" characters, it is boring. Chloe was made too simple and too cold and that actress is forced into more boring acting than she should have been doing. The script needs to add more complexity in Chloe. i really think Chloe actress can act more complexity.

So imo HJ actor is one of the keys to making the drama interesting. He could have made HJ rather quiet low key too, but he made HJ into a very emotional person but not so emotional to be out of character. Good job!!!!

Wow "protecting" MJ by lying to him has led to him trusting, dating and almost marrying YN .... wow how stupidly dumb and totally unnecessary !!!!! and how HURTFUL!!!!!! .... and gave CHloe and HJ time to start getting married ...

The only good thing is that now MJ knows that EVERYONE is lying to him.

Chloe is throwing HJ under the bus. She is literally using him like a disposable chopstick. That is such a heavy karma, to use and destroy the heart of another. She is making him give up everything in his life and she is not offering one kind word to support him. I am wondering what she is gonna do when HJ comes forward demanding aerobics lmao as Shinubi calls it.

HJ already knows that his mother killed Chairman's ex-wife, and that his mother tried to kill MJ ...does he know his mother tried to kill Chloe too... ? and that his mother kidnapped and drugged Chairman and plans to destroy/ kill MJ and his Aunt/Mom. And HJ gave away his family and Adele group to Chloe bc he loves her.

So after this wedding, HJ will have NOTHING. No family, no Adele, no MJ as a friend and brother, no Chloe.

I wonder how and when he is going to just break down.
At that point, HJ might really go off the rails, and could hurt Chloe or MJ, or become a villain himself, or commit suicide, etc

My version of happy ending would have HJ run away and live abroad. I think his bio dad is a toxic presence so if MJ leaves healthy, leave alone. If HJ is disabled from all his self destructive things, then leave with his bio dad to take care of him. But I hope he leaves healthy and starts a new life.



And Chloe, stupidly thinks only of her revenge, soooo dumb, so mental, so stubbornly greedy and blind.

ooops I spoke too early. This drama does mention bad teachers and bad parents and BAD POLICE lmao . I just watched ep 6 and one teacher / several parents and police are exposed for doing bad things. The problem parents are overprotective of their kids..

Still, it is pretty amazing how stupid the women and girls are portrayed in this drama - why cant the female teacher just BLOCK the phone of a nasty parent? And tell them - every parent told me to take their kid's side lmao Or even do what the ed police did lmao THAT WAS THE BEST my fav is ep 5 lmao
or a girl taking some unknown pill - doesnt every kid these days know they shouldnt.... ?????

1. CHILDREN ARE ABANDONED BY ADULTS
2. ADULTS AND SOCIETY ARE ROTTEN

So the lesson learned from this drama should be - what kind of society do we want to build? Obviously, consumer driven capitalism is not working. We have destroyed environment, children, ourselves. The kids in these dramas have no parent attention bc parents are WORKING - either to barely make a living, or bc they want LOTS of money.

So what is better for the kids, adults, and the environment?
