his role here was so cool.... it was such a fun funny kdrama

Ms. Song got me thinking that I was non-stop played to think ABC about a character and then wonder about XYZ.... until I get the next cue... .
First, I saw Ms. Song as a nasty helper. Then I wondered if she is Yepphee, bc she was so noisy asking questions. But then, we saw her involved in Ms. Kim's murder. Just her face with greed and anticipation about slush fund made me start thinking Ms. Song just wants to steal the company.
Then I realized - hey I was played like this before.... !

Like... the roomie mom. She was just nobody, a background character "filler" for about ... 4? episodes... then suddenly... she sneaks in her kid LOL who TOTALLY takes over lmao

Let;s start from the beginning... we are looking for Yehppee.....

First the two male executives were the suspect Yahppees... but ... in later episodes... we saw they are not. In a few more episodes, we see how they intentionally steal cheat etc. They are baaad guys...

Albert was introduced as a cute lazy immature nobody ... he was our comic relief character and a cute airhead boy to look at.... then about ep 3-4 we see him talking with his idiotic criminal slimey dad and we realize - hey Alex is SMART and really knows what is going on!!!!! surprise! :)
Then... we see Al at the start of ep 5 team dinner... he smirks at FL and new CEO - as if he already knows their true identity and past and present... So... WHAT DOES AL KNOWS AND WHT IS HIS MOTIVE AND INTENT??? Then we see Alex defending FL like an adult man... and asking her out bc he saw the CEO chasing FL ... And then... at the end of ep 6... we see alex talking to one of the kidnappers... !!!! gees twist! he lied he would be at the family dinner - he is an experienced liar.... and he went there on the same night as FL.... and then we see a preview of AL and the moustache man...

So now we are wondering - what is Albert's secret agenda? is Albert one of the bad guys??? is AL managing the slush fund... ??? is AL just secretly helping FL? is AL helping th company bc of FL, or is he genuinely interested? Is AL just interested in saving his own as@, or helping FL, or helping the company, or himself as the future president.... ???

The thief roomie looked like a typical bribed secretary... Then we learn she is a thief... then we learn she is a victim of abuse... AND a thief :)

The new CEO... we saw how he exited FL's life in the past - he did not want to investigate... But then he enters back into her life as her CEO! and seems to be as rough as always... and even more... but then we see his doggy eyes LMAO and it is clear he is just a doggy in love, crawling back to his master, the FL :)

FL is interesting too... We met her as a stern "financial police" officer. But In ep 5, we are shocked to find her all flustered by Albert's courtship. We saw her angry at the new CEO, tiny handshake. But she runs to him to help him when he collapsed on the street.

THEREFORE, NOTHING IS PREDICTABLE HERE :)
AND THAT MAKES IT SO FUN!!!!

I am fascinated how well this drama is made. Characters are introduced one by one in very sly ways, where we the audience ... get a wrong idea LOL or just a limited idea... or just the general idea.... or no information really..... and then... in another later episode! ... the character shows sides we NEVER expected or did not suspect, and/or we get info that MAKES US WONDER .... and then.... later! .... we get info that changes our opinion LOL
It is a masterful hide and seek being played with the audience... It is like we the audience are led down a labyrinth or a maze.... as every character here has secrets.... which are let out one by one .... LMAO

Ok this is just like Dynamite Kiss drama, which had sexual harassment at work by the ML and the audience defended it, saying it is cool bc he loves her. In another drama recently, so many ppl rooted for a very violent 2ML because he was hot. Then we have dramas like Boys Over Flowers, which glorify psychotic violent abusive "hot looking" male bullies...

SO... THE SOCIETY GLOBALLY GIVES MEN THE PRIVILEGE TO BE VIOLENT as a sign of their "hotness".

I almost mixed up one of the FLs with the FL in currently airing Positively Yours, where FL is a rather insecure and rather dumb witted irrational impulsive newly pregnant by accident. Very traditional kdrama role, she is not smart and proactive at all. it is not a complex role at all. I was wondering why that actress would be doing this role... ?? Well it is NOT the same actress lol

Another FL here was the "workers union gang leader" in Dream Life of Mr. Kim, where she totally nailed it, it was a complex and shady gray areas role of a powerful woman.

The music style is from 2025 drama Walking on Thin Ice, very similar melody and approach

my personal experience is that the rich suck up to each other.... stick to each other .... and will NOT make any waves and will side with the criminal rich

This is a lot better than Judge from Hell, where she was kinda one-dimensional. She is either a person-in-control nasty grumpy killer or is kissing her boyfriend... In general, I am not fond of that kdrama. That is the only other drama I saw her in.
In this kdrama, she is a tough "financial police" officer and a fake girly girl 20 yr old and she deals with financial and corporate ppl, criminals, spies, nasty chaebols, guys courting her, guys kidnapping her, nasty dorm general, AND roommate situation with naive young and old girls and clever kids, plus her own family.

In short: her character in this drama has to interact, respond to, adjust to, blend with, apease and make peace with a wide variety of different people and even children, she is under the command of many others, so her acting has to show more, and IT DOES :) She is really really fun to watch.

he is nailing down this drama... he is perfect in his role. His acting is rather ..... subtle, you have to watch his face to see the eyes etc. Like the scene in the dorm room, his begging doggy eyes at FL are hilarious amazing masterful acting, He showed a whole range of acting - a scary elevator scene, several awkward dinners and handshakes, etc. He is a great actor. he didnt have many scenes, but they are all powerful.

I am curious, which dramas did you drop where he was ML? I want to investigate this phenomena where an actor can be stellar in one place - like here - and supposedly not so good in others, like the dramas you dropped. I want to figure out how it works :) I never saw him anywhere beore. This drama is a masterpiece so I want to figure out WHY and HOW it works. Thanks.

The tiny handshake and the scary elevator scene show a LOT of pain, hurt and grief for BOTH. They still have A LOT OF alive feelings... but she is not gonna take him back bc he messed up and she is mad at him, and he is mad that she is rejecting him, and THAT approach to her is NOT going to work... . AND he is hunting her down - seems like he is trying to come back. But he is using wrong methods...
But then.. she rushes to help him at the dorm... she still cares for him... And he loves her so much. I am 100% convinced after I saw him look at her with begging doggy eyes in the dorm room, and she scolding him like an angry wife. He loves her and is very hurt that she dumped him and is still rejecting him. But he messed up in the past... and did not try to come back nicely and properly .... he deserves to be dumped and scolded :)
let us see how he tries to come back LOL and if he succeeds :) If he shows her that he has integrity, he has a chance, imo.

Your post sounds like blind hate. To make yourself credible, you should list dramas where you think he acted badly, and why you think so.

I have never seen that actor before. BUT IN THIS DRAMA, HE IS 1000% EXCELLENT ACTOR, THE NEW CEO SEEMS REAL. All his scenes are powerful. I totally love his acting. His guilty doggy eyes begging FL in the dorm are precious and hilarious. He loves her. The chemistry of the tiny handshake and the scary elevator scene shows a LOT of emotions, love, pain, grief, hurt from the past. All dorm scenes - esp she rushing over to help him, and their eye exchange, he begging with doggy eyes and she scolding him, show that they both deeply care for each other. Overall, 1000% chemistry. IT IS SAD THAT YOU MISSED IT ALL.
That actor is a masterful actor with lots of experience and amazing acting skillZ. To pull it off like that requires skillZ.
And, that actor DOES look very attractive too. He is just not a plastic surgery pretty boy. Honestly, I like that. A real face, not plastic. All pretty boys look pretty much the same, most of them cannot act, and that is boring.
In short, I and many other people like acting of the new CEO actor and his presence in the drama. He did a few scenes, but ALL his scenes are super powerful and memorable.

Albert is dead serious calling someone in the garden of his house, then Albert and moustached man in a gray shirt are sitting in the front seats of a car. The man is looking through a very thick envelope filled with money, seems like ALbert gave him that and the man is smiling and Albert's face is wth grumpy anxious thought. The man's face is so blotted out, I am not sure if that is Mr. Kang... the neck and face look awfully thin from the profile. Mr. Kang was a tall and rather meaty man, stronger build. But there is one scene from the back of the neck and it COULD be Mr. Kang. The man in the stripey shirt is a rather tall and thick middle aged man. So it could be.... :)

Seems like Albert bribed someone, or is supporting someone secretly, and it is a very dangerous and heavy job for him.

Or he is putting money into the slush fund via cash - BUT I DOUBT IT. I dont think Albert is a bad guy.

I think Albert knows who Miss Hong is and is somehow concerned about the company and helping in his own way - and possibly only out of concern for his own as@.

but they are SUPER POWERFUL scenes.. the elevator, the dorm street where she RUNS! to him, and the doggy look in the dorm room... that man is hers... and she still loves him but is mad ....

@cindybtsarmy07 wow what drama are you watching... ? That man is after her big time... That mini shake and scary scene in the elevator....and his miffed look after.... they are both deeply hurt and have tons of emotions for each other i.e. they are still in love :)
his coming to the dorm.... AND his doggy eyes in the dorm... he is hers!!!! He loves her deeply. And how she ran to him in front of the dorm to help him. how they communicated in the dorm room... they love each other.
Both carry a lot of pain from the past. He messed up and she is mad. He has to pull a miracle to get her back. Only if he convinces her that he is ethical, she MIGHT take him back. Only if he can explain that old doodoo he did... and show that he acts differently now... She WILL take him back, I bet. She is ready to date again, look how flattered she was about Albert asking her out LOL
