FL starts as a good girl but very naive, and then she catches a bully cheating her, and then she goes into a revenge mode - and she is definitely nasty herself
The wife is so DUMB that it is unbelievable. No, she cannot possibly be the killer, she is just DUMB. And ML is so ... like a puppet obeying her every stupid command. So he pulls the people watching over her and what does it cost him to drop her off before he goes to work...??? Wife telling him to essentially leave her alone is DUMB DUMB DUMB. He really SHOULD divorce her asap. She is just unbelievably dumb and unsuited for a wife in general and esp wife of a police officer.
THE WHOLE PLOT IS STUPID BC THE DETECTIVES AND THE WIFE ARE UTTERLY DUMB The police woman has criminal tendencies herself. She cannot understand that a mother wants her child after 20 years. She has nothing, she cannot smile. ML can smile, We see him smiling at the first date, in the car joking with wife's friend drooling.

I also like that he is extremely competent, and as you said, everything else - dependable, present, actively caring, and expressing his love to her in so many ways, even verbal sometimes. Yeah seems like the only thing he is getting out of caring for her is his own sense of inner happiness to be around her. That's love, isnt it?

The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun is also super dumb, by episode 79 out of 120.... she is as dumb as in ep 1. In first 20 episodes she essentialy killed her daughter and then in the later episodes she conducts revenge LOL

And tragically, even this stupidity is 10000% better than anything you can see in the western dramas and movies
