i watched ep 1 and quit in disgust, the acting is so fake and the dialogue is crude and/or silly. Very common with cdramas. The drama is a bunch of pretty scenes without real acting and content. So .... no to cdramas

You are right that the charm of this drama is its DEPTH - it is not just blind hormones and pretty ppl in heat, like in must rom coms... Definitely, there are serious issues and feelings behind all the relationships shown here.

And you are wrong to assume that older viewers do not wish to see romance, or that the drama's charm in not in showing romance.
it is your personal choice that you dont watch for the sake of romance - but do not pretend that it is not there :) That is you - if you are older and all your hormones have ran out already... maybe you dont even notice it...

And fyi uncle and auntie are one hot couple :) having a super steamy hot romance in middle age. Like it is supposed to be... Even old ppl can have some kind of romance. Love has no age.

And uncle's and aunty's hot steamy romance is so charming BECAUSE they are two solid family people, two decent, honest people with integrity . There is DEPTH behind their love and love making.. The depth is even deeper bc they overcame the family feud and are able to love each other AS THEY ARE, not as their families tell them to. That is profound.

So to see two hearts / s.x bombs exploding at the age of .. 45? 50? and in spite all outside efforts to quash them, is very deep and profound.

Don't forget that Mad Concrete Dreams is also a very complicated thriller, but involves a poor / undeducated / not so glam / very local ML
Dont overlook it just bc you like to watch rich and pretty and famous power ppl

I checked his resume on MDL, he has a LONG list of dramas he did, even as ML. He is a very experienced actor. It shows!!!!! I think his acting here is fantastic, he is really conveying BH so well, I never saw the actor.... there is no pretense... BH seems like a real person.
