On A Bona Fide Killer 28 days ago
Bona fide (often spelled bonafide) means real, genuine, or made in good faith without fraud or deceit. It comes from a Latin phrase literally translating to "in good faith" (bona for good, fide for faith)

the organization/company structure handles that side of things; her assassin work is embedded within her corporate…
Thank you for your patience, It started with my mixing up of bona fide and pro bono, and the opening scenes where she killed for free, so I wrongly thought that she killed bad criminals FOR FREE.... , then I realized she gets paid, but still I thought she kills only bad criminals, so I didnt understand who funded that group of people. But if that is a paid assassin organization, of course, they get paid to kill anyone and of course they launder the money :) I understand that :)

But somehow, her company decides that the target has to be a bad criminal - yes or no? So she trusts her company's judgment that the target is a bad criminal? So effectively, she is a paid assassin and will kill whoever she is told to kill
or - does she know why she is killing someone?

So in ep 1, she killed TWO people. Do we know why she killed the second one?

Thank you.

I didn't think their relationship will be that serious before he disappear. To have a child. Plot Synopsis by…
Hm what are you talking about - 2017 or 2025? In 2017, she pushed him away - but then consented to date him.... and he gave up on her bc of his mother. He was not serious about FL.
Not the entire bus gave up on collapsed grandma. Some ppl did not see it. He saw it clearly and did not even think of helping that collapsed grandma ..

In 2025, I predict she WILL push him away for real bc he bailed on her before. Yes he was inexperienced but still. He was not serious.

I wonder where those 10 k viewers disappeared to! 😅Or was Iron Family their first longer kdrama and was too…
I did not check the data on earlier weekenders. I started watching during COVID and maybe many other ppl did, and then dropped out as soon as COVID was over?

I loved Iron Family at first :) By middle it started dragging and then the end was horrible, mama boy ditching his true love to kiss as@ of his narcissistic awful terror mother.

I am not sure why ppl didnt like Iron Family at least first half. I suspect it is bc ppl do not watch to watch poverty or disability. Ppl love mindless fantasies fluff and fights, sleek urban rich and/or metrosexual idol dramas, seems to me :) like Perfect Crown, Weak Hero or Agent Kim
Ppl love total sexism and toxicity, like most of Dynamite Kiss. That drama shows that the audience is not 100% brain dead, at least some people disliked the end. But too many liked it until the end... yikes

I was impressed with Iron Family. I still remember scenes from it. Great acting and comedy. Then it fizzled out. It had great music too and amazingly pretty FL

I liked the story telling. It shows what many families go through.
about 20% of fathers in Korea are goose dads

Not sure if you're familiar with the term 기러기 ì•„ë¹ I seen both sides , wife cheating and husband rotting…
I can tell just from the description how messed up it is.
There is about 200,000 - 500,000 of goose dads, less than 5% of all married men in Korea, but about 10-20% of married man with minor children.

S Korean government now has incentives to keep kids - and their money - in Korea, so they got Jeju boarding school, etc and it is successful, those "goose dads" turned into "weekend dads" and saved $1 BILLION in overseas tuition and living... $1 BILLION stayed in S Korea... . There are other government incentives to prevent goose dads and keep kids in S Korea

Still with all those incentives, these are the current stats:
South Korea has approximately 11.5 million married couples, but only 2-2.5 million married couples with school-age children. !!!!!!! About 17% to 22% of all married couples in South Korea have school-aged children (defined as children aged 6 to 17).

In S Korea, out of 11.5 million married couples, half have no kids.
Out of 2-2.5 million married couples with kids, 60% have only one kid.
LESS THAN 20% OF HOUSEHOLDS IN S KOREA HAS A MINOR IN THE HOUSE.

Birth rates dropped in 1983 when contraception and family planning was promoted by the government, then went very low in 2001 because of IMF crisis, and super super low since 2016 bc most young ppl do not even marry and if they do they dont have kids bc of high cost of living and private tutoring, required to succeed in highly competitive cut throat education K1-12.... .Says google AI.

And as I said, goose dad has power, he can say NO. If there are too many fights bc of it, he can divorce. Even google AI reports these fathers experiencing social isolation, no eating, no sleeping, stress, and high rates of alcoholism and gokyusa or "lonely deaths"

Why is living like death better than divorcing such a cruel, inconsiderate, selfish wife? Well - according to google AI - many couples do divorce as soon as kids are out of school. So yeah S Korean government is trying to prevent goose dads, but still, bc of that Jeju boarding school, mothers live on Jeju and fathers work in Seoul and visit on weekends. THAT WOULD BE A GREAT KDRAMA

So ... on another note... kdrama will be dying too... . There will be no siblings, in-laws, etc to make plots with... or ppl to watch the dramas... Wow... S Korea is in a severe pickle situation... They *** WILL *** go extinct unless they make a U-turn
The competitive school system and wanting kids to score high leads to parents feeding drugs to kids, keeping them studying from toddlers! school during day and tutoring at night... Wow being a kid in Korea is like jail..
Wow S Korea has really severe problems

i fell asleep in the middle of this lol so can someone please tell me:

So in ep 1, she killed TWO people? First, for free, she killed the dad trying to kill his daughter, nd then she went back to her company and with their help killed some guy in a highrise in a white shirt?

DO WE KNOW WHY SHE KILLED THAT SECOND GUY IN WHITE SHIRT?

Seems like SHE A PAID ASSASSIN and kills whoever her company tells her to, PLUS she kills whoever she wants to, for free. Correct?

AND HER COMPANY SOMEHOW DETERMINES THE TARGET IS A BAD CRIMINAL - does she blindly trust her company or she knows why she is killing someone?

Why is the current rating so low? This drama is a blast of fun. Yeah all characters are doing shady things in secret, but the drama makes a satire about that , the music and camera make fun of "looking good on surface". I really like we get to see scenes again but from a different character's view. So the satire is a part of the psychological thriller

SR's brother is so charming courting FL's sister :) I enjoy watching his scenes.

I like CN and OldestBrother scenes. Yeah she is pretty as is. A strong woman.

and what's up with that snakey ex-wife - her ex is DIVORCED and can pick any woman now and any friend for BitNa and his woman WILL BE BitNa's stepmom. Get a grip, you nasty one. If you didnt want to let go on him and the kid then you should have not divorced him. She doesnt want him but also she wants to keep him around forever. Well - forget it. The dude is SINGLE AND FREE to do as he pleases now

Fashion notes: Wow EA looks so beautiful in the wedding outfit, that slinky top is perfect for her. And SR looks gorgeous in the wedding gown, what a beautiful woman and in a real body, she is not a skeleton.
And MH as usual - and, no wide pants on MH please, the tight cylinder pants are better. His legs are thick enough, he doesnt need a boost
And, Crystal did steal the show, wow what a hanbok. SR's mom had a pretty hanbok too..
DaiChi's blue-with-white-trim coat was ... ough... cheesy
SR's brother looks great in a suit

I am waiting for DoDo bomb to explode any minute. ML already fell for FL. She didnt yet but will soon, but before then, .... DoDo is gonna cause a nuclear explosion, esp with ML's mom. His mom is just not going to accept JiNi as good enough ever
I really like ML but is he still a mommy son? Also, I really like acting of ML actor. He is super charming And super skinny and pale. His looks terrify me. I want to put him on a feeder tube and send him outdoors for some physical activity

Wow 1st wife and her family do NOT really feel sorry one iota about dissing JiNi back then, they are just faking apologies to get her marrow. Wow jerks

Why doesn't the FL ask that they add her on the family register before giving bone marrow. If they deny her that…
bc FL wants to bypass all that and just do it for her personal friendship with O Reum

Does putting her on family registry even matter now? .... all inheritance was divided up already

hm they are very young in ep 1-2.... and imo they have some chemistry. It is not hot adult passion for sure.

he is not a bad guy but he is not a strong determined mature guy :) He leaves collapsed grannies on the street... He did not stand up for FL. He chose the family business.
OK back then they were young and he had no clue what love means, and also, she was in a tight spot in her life and the timing was not right... but after 8 yrs, she is established and she should be ready now, and he should know better that one has to FIGHT for his love, it doesnt come on a silver platter. Well - seems like it will take him anywhere from ep 20 to ep 48 to become clear on that..

Not sure if you're familiar with the term 기러기 ì•„ë¹ I seen both sides , wife cheating and husband rotting…
imo those ppl are trying to uphold the perfection imposed by the society, tht the man has to take care of his family, and they are trying to PROVE to the world that they can.
Also, they dont really love their wife or kids and this is a cheap way to avoid them.
And they do not see a way out, bc they do not want to deviate from social norms. Seems like they somehow feel guilty, not enough, inadequate

So my conclusion is that S Korean men would make great husbands with a little bit of proper training, i.e. they would be great for western women, who would NOT demand perfection in providing for the family and would train them to communicate and relate and be more free and themselves. I think Korean men would do great with African Americans - those ladies would be STOKED to have a reliable guy who doesnt run around - and Koreans are fun and physical enough, there is kpop, kdance, etc they have a sense of humor and fun.. they might be fun enough for a black lady - but then he cannot be racist... Also, nothing tops a good black guy for fun, they are so musical, physical, sensitive, artsy, have a great sense of humor, communication and having a great time, they are so social and make fun time any time, they are very rare ones who really know how to "play" - get together and play music, dance, talk, etc - they are masters of having a good time- - but heythey run around a lot.... so if a Koran guy can be that warm and friendly and fun... and be loyal and reliable ... wow he made it. Black women need good guys.
Also, seems like those Korean men would do great with Eastern European women, ... bc they are more caring and sensitive and kind... and with any woman of any color/race from the USA

The western woman finally gets a reliable man who is a dedicated husband, and she doesnt have to worry about cheating etc
But the drinking is a problem. Many Korean men are probably alcoholics and this remote lifestyle helps them to upkeep their alcoholism.
So this partnership program accepts only those who have no addictions to anything.

I think we have a great potential here for cross-cultural collaboration.

The only problem is finding western women who want to have kids... or else S Koreans will die off. They have lowest birth rate globally

But I really think they need to be set free of the social chains, forcing them to die, not live, trying to generate wealth and "look good". So EITHER their women give up that social stigma OR some outside women take over and take advantage of this precious resource - a RELIABLE LOYAL HUSBAND. WOW THOSE ARE ALMOST EXTINCT IN MOST OF THE WORLD

Title Pearl in Red
What is YuNa's medical condition? She seems scared / anxious while she talks to herself to justify all the killing and stealing she is doing, and her face is the same when she gets found out. Is that just an incompetent actress? YuNa is a cold blooded psychopath serial killer, she has ZERO conscience, she is 100% cement inside, nothing human, NOTHING. So what is all that "anxiety" about? Fear that she will be caught?

wow HJ already went insane. There is no going back. Start of ep today (97?) makes it 100% clear
the blind dumb JJ just doesnt want to accept what she is seeing, over and over again gets taken by her mental stiff wrong thinking and control. JJ cannot feel, cannot think clearly, she is like a mentally disabled person. JJ ihas NOT made ONE good decision in this entire drama, except joining the Aunt. JJ is 100% ruined by PTSD - she needs a long time in rehab
