I hope so bc without BH, JM is zero. Her little childish pranks with her tracks left all over... JM has no chance doing revenge alone. She has no idea even where to start...
The issue is Jun Ho now bc he loves Seo Rim...

This is a half baked 12-ep drama. Lomon totally grew and transformed. 100%. But the Fox stayed the same. She had a moment where she was starting to feel some love but she quickly bailed out. She is ... stone hearted. So... loving her makes no sense. I feel cheated.

Lomon is great in a romantic role and/or kindness
The Fox is great as a nasty gnashing teeth egocentric maniac

A Graceful Liar was so trashy Kardashian style, they slept around and had secret children and betrayed and killed each other, it was a hot steaming stinky pile of script... ALL roles were in a huge greedy mud fight... And, the FL was the most terrible actress... she just kept repeating the same sentences with the same facial expression... from ep 1 to ep 69 when I just could not take it anymore and dropped LOL Omg. nightmare. I do not often drop dramas, but I dropped that one.

I think this "love story" was meant to be realistic, the Fox never really changed or grew, she stays "distant" and keeps doing her own thing, she just likes ML but is unwilling to change herself or to become human. Afraid to love..... Ok if the writer wanted that... But ... it is kinda ... too realistic LOL
I agree Lomon is fantastic for acting romance and melodrama and being a nice guy.
The Fox actress easily moves between villain and not-so-villain and -starting to get nice and nice. But I got tired of all the time she spent as not nice LOL
I think the contrast between her gnashing teeth and very kind Lomon was too sharp to maintain for too long in the drama

Well I wrote a long post on that :) I think KBS could have A LOT MORE audience. Bc ... I think we the audience can handle smarter characters :) I think there are lots of ppl who would love to watch a QUALITY 30 min drama bc they are busy.
KBS assumes that bc these dramas are for more mature audience, the audience is dumb. Hm, not necessarily these days :) If short verticals are so popular, then ...

Luckily, this particular FL actress is excellent and so all dramas with this particular FL actress are pretty good - and yeah always can be better :)

I think for KBS it is a balance between not pissing off their traditional audience (and dailies have a reputation "for housewives, meaning - older generation bc honestly I do NOT know any young housewives anymore LOL and retired people).
But there is this whole range of NEW audience that works from home (IT, accounting, billing, customer support, ... ) or in jobs that have down time (security, caretakers, waiting for customers, .... ) OR JUST WAITING FOR OR BEING IN TRANSPORTATION lol This daily is perfect to watch while you are on the train or bus to work... I can see the entire metropolitan NYC or San Fran Bay area watching dailies :) Los Angeles and everyone else- no LOL since they drive ... lol

The short verticals are $15 billion dollar industry, which means they caught this new market super good, plus bc their videos are a few minutes, they ALSO caught all slackers at work - and we all know the new gen is on social media during work hours... and of course school kids and students.

But here we are, an audience that has ideas for more :) I wish KBS and other strinctly Korean companies to succeed. Foreign influence in this is a rat hole. I think Korean companies have been abusive to this is a wake up call, but I do hope they got to find THE MIDDLE WAY that allows them to keep producing quality highly popular dramas and to keep all the money in Korea and under strictly Korean standards. The minute kdramas are under foreign standards, they go down. This has already started but the damage should be curbed at some point. That is another rasons why I like dailies bc they ARE strictly Korean.

Right now I am watching Pearl in Red. Although I fast forward through most of it - most scenes are totally soapy, crying, etc and FL is a terrible actress - but there are great scenes too, I like seeing it bc it is genuinely Korean, it has real Korean actors and not plasticized young fashion models, it has scenes from real daily life, and the ML actor is amazing - he is a super excellent middle aged classic male villain, He is superb, there is no role, he is "for real" and is totally like a character from real life. I MET ppl like him lol I have a better understanding of their culture by watching that kind of cheap but quite realistic drama... yeah it is mostly cheesy cheap :) but in some ways that is good bc then a 30 min episode is like 15 mins :) and I can drop it any time :)

First Man though is different, I would not drop this. I am a fan of this FL now (and some others now, in this drama it is Baek Ho bc it is "for real" very convincing acting, even CEO Chae is a very "for real" villain, and in Qeen's house it is both MLs, mother in law and even the brother that got disabled, and the Dad of that icky female doctor. In this drama there are side roles that are convincingly real, it is just that the characters are not ppl we love - the golddiggers, the Chairma, Jung Min's family are all convincing, even the Lap Dog) and so I am sure there is quality ever time this FL actress shows up, and there is. And this drama too, I am sure will get better as they go along. So I am interested in helping them grow even internationally.
Ah this is getting to be too long of a post. But i am really studying this :)
I think the key is a good script writer or at least someone with some ideas. Honestly, I think actors can think of how to embelish the script. but they need lots of ideas and guidance so that the whole crew is on the same page

Jun Ho was missing Seo RIm before ... I pointed out but nobody was paying attention and even scolded me. When she was in his office, he called police to kick her out, and she just left. THEN he was missing her. He got used to playing games with her and torturing her, and he took her dedication for granted, but as soon as she pulls away and his game flops, he "begs" for her to come back and "play with him." He has weird ideas of love. Very wounded.

Augh.... Jang Mi driving the show is so ... childish... like ... girls in school. Making CEO Chae walk or spilling something on her is NOT the thing... and will just get her caught. CEO Chae can be punished only if she becomes poor and powerless and without help. The key is the Lap Dog, he enabled all this. Without him, CEO Chae cannot do anything.

JM needs to rope in BH to help her, she alone is clearly inadequate.

Baek Ho is moving at the snail pace and with the clarity of a mole - so much info given to him and he ... goes to CEO Chae to ask her.... !!!!! Baek Ho looks handsome on the screen so at least there is something to look at, and he is so loyal and dilligent and we love him, but ... he could be smarter too :) Maybe... ? lol

Without the snappy witty whirwindy clever Seo Rim, this scrips ain't moving forward in an interesting way. The entire plot is made by how stupid people are.
for example,
The scenes of Suk Hee family letting CEO Chae just roam around their house, rummaging through their stuff - contents of purse totally spilled on the floor!!!! she took stuff too! .... and they said NOTHING and dismissed Suk Hee... that is al just UNBELIEVABLE.
So ok we have those poor uneducated and rather dumb ppl, some middle class a little smarter, etc. and SEO RIM IS THE ONLY SMART ONE? and the only creative one who thinks of new crazy and interesting things - that create the plot... AND she got taken out??
So another 70 episodes like that... ?

I think KBS could be having a huge market here. Traditionally, dailies are for some uneducated housewives who are too busy and can spare only 30 mins and are not too sharply discerning so the characters and topics are trash, however... I am not an educated housewife, but I am busy too and started watching dailies bc I had onlu 30 mins to spare. AND I WILL NEVER EVER watch those short verticals, I like to see real acting, and I love acting I saw in Queens House and here. FL is a star for sure, and there are lots of other good ones, in this drama it is Baek Ho and infortunately CEO Chae that are great actors. Queen House had its share of great acting too. I wish that Lawyer from WOman who Swallowed the Sun could be imported LOL and I wish that FL from WHSTS could have a better script, that is a good actress too but that script was cheap. Queens House and this drama, on the other hand, compare to 12-16 and 50 ep dramas just in longer format. The quality is there, just shorter episodes.

I bet that newer gen housewives are educated and smarter than older ones... and I bet there re lots of ppl who work at home and would love a 30 min quality "movie time" that a daily COULD provide.
I think that is something that KBS needs to think about and do more.
Obviously most of us on this page like Seo Rim bc she is smart and VERY INTERESTING DYNAMIC CHARACTER, she gets new crazy ideas and just does them. A character perfect for creating drama plot. The switch was her idea LOL

So some business moves to think about :) I dont know maybe daily audience is all older...and loves to watch women crying and yanking hair... All these things are worth investigating.
Younger audience often says they dont like long dramas.. but ... they watch long webtoons... they could watch the first few drama eps.... and maybe thre could be "plot hints" to help jump into newer episodes

ok , accept it, Baek Ho is ah so handsome and loyal, but he is not razor sharp... Sad but true :) He would make a good husband in some cushy safe lifestyle where the hardest thing to figure out is who to call to fix the leaky faucet.

Unfortunately yes. So ML is a free babysitter for the baby and has a strong bond and cares for the kid and created a home for the kid. ML and the kid are the only good things to watch in this drama. They are amazing :) Unfortunately we dont get to see enough of that.

We get to see PLENTY FL going out on dates with SML - and she takes the kid with her.
As someone else said here, she treats the baby like a pet fish - she bought aquarium and sometimes feeds it and that's it
So the audience is upset that this 12 episode drama is getting wasted on those side plots. The script is faulty, it is filmed AS IF this were like 20 ep drama

yup and that precisely is the nasty part - she uses SML for flirting and power office, and she uses ML as a free babysitter cleaningman repairman. She is just sooo comfortable... letting 2 men take care o her
