ep 8 beginning is stupid. So evil S Korea sold him to evil N Korea and then we get to see some literally insane psychopaths doing torture. So how is that a "good plot"???? It is just shocking scenes without any meaning. We all know every country has that. So instead of eliminating it, we are making dramas about it... how LAME and COWARDLY

The rest of ep 8 is so realistic, it is hilarious. The satire of veterans coming home, the big fat rats everywhere in power, and the total psychopaths in charge of taxpayers' money and lives in every country. Wonderfully jester. I was having fun in ep 8

You also got to remember Agent Kim was raised to be a soldier from childhood, he did not have everyday life like…
Exactly! THAT is the point of this drama!!!!
This special agent is cemented as a human being, to the point that he could not even LEARN to be a good father. There is Internet, other families, etc so he COULD have learned if he really wanted to
As a special agent, he SHOULD be familiar how normal families live. He must have observed them at some point... But he is sooo cemented... nothing goes through

Which would you rather watch? 🍿Dragged 16 episodes or a rushed 12?🔗https://kisskh.at/games/kOVNt5
16 with content. I just watched 2014 kdrama It's Ok That's Love it is 16 eps, packed with amazing dialogues etc, fun to watch every second. But - it requires a good script writer and a good director. Those are kinda extinct now, Also the audience has attention span of a gnat...

I think ppl are so busy with the fights that they are missing the obvious -

It is ep 11 and MJ did NOT tell at all that she was bullied at school every day by that girl. Hello. This drama is about failed parenting

THIS IS HOW BULLYING AND MOLESTATION HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE. Children who keep quiet and/or parents who do not ask questions, do not show any interest in their kids days and/or totally disregard the kid, like Agent Kim did, he did not even install a tracking device on his daughter's phone

Also, this is why the new generations are such space cadets and so immature, bc nobody ever talks to them and guides them. Children need adults to provide a nourishing and enriching and SAFE environment to grow and explore. Kids also need lessons about real life - for example, you do NOT initiate fights all alone against a gang etc. MJ is sooooo dumb space cadet she did not even know she was dealing with a gang of kids - backed by adults

One of the best parenting lessons I ever saw was at the Mexican border. The custom's officer was asking for a bribe, so the adults GAVE the money to the kids to give to the customs. So the kids learned how the real life works. MJ is totally out of touch with real life.

Agent Kim failed as a father bc he just provided room and board for his kid. His daughter could have been date raped, doing drugs, selling drugs, bullied, pregnant, HIV or Hep C positive, etc and HE NEVER ASKED HER HOW SHE IS DOING he never took real interest in his child That is a no-no for good parents.
A skilled interested and persisting truly caring loving parent will find a way to make his kid talk with them.

Gurl you watched a kdrama from 2010 it was a different era then
Yeah, I get it now. Sure, some sexism was overcome even in last years, AND NOT ENTIRELY YET
the sexism is still super strong and most dramas make plot out of stupid women doing stupid things

I thought the same thing, I feel like every actor is doing a pretty good job except FL. Leading this drama alongside…
it SHOULD help her, there is someone to learn from, but the problem is that she is not learning!!!!!!

I noticed that too.i mean it's not a regional accent,right?
Hm , rapping?
His voice sounds very serious and "official" - I can imagine him giving sermons and presidential speeches.. In this drama he is often grumpy and off the cuff slicing ppl, so his voice is excellent for bsing drone lmao I can imagine a high level religious or gvmt official leader speaking in that voice lmao A military general :) lmao for sure :) Advertisements too :)

But also it could be used for something very serious and deep, like reading a very powerful book... Talking about serious societal issues... Like save the species from 6th Great Extinction , save the water, stop global warming, save all abused like children in Gaza, etc etc etc
The voice can certainly be used to call people to do something great

and rapping... Hm? I am not sure :) perhaps if he raps about some serious and meaningful stuff

bruh its a 14-15 year old, no 14-15 year old is prepared to face the world alone lol, are you delusional, you…
I will just mention simple things I just now added to my original post. TO RAISE A CHILD, MEANS TO GUIDE, TEACH, PROTECT THAT CHILD, now only to give it room and board. To raise a child means to COMMUNICATE with the child.

And MJ is such a moron, she did not even tell anyone that NastyRichGirl was bullying her every day in school. In a proper family, that is unacceptable. Parents have to put in effort to find out what's going on with the kids. Kids have to feel free to share. That kind of relationship is ASSUMED in a proper family.

But this family is a very failed family, as there is no communication and no relationship. MJ is given room and board and nothing else. THAT IS INSUFFICIENT

MJ is such a moron to blackmail her father to risk his and her life to stand up to NastyRichDad, and she is doing all her blackmailing without providing any information whatsoever. And her stupid dad does not even get her to talk to him. What kind of agent is that????

It is clear that agent Kim never ever ever talked with his daughter. That is BAD parenting. The kid is a total space cadet. Cannot tie her own shoelaces. That bad.

And now bc of all the stupidities of that child, caused by lack of proper parenting, the kid is left alone and forced to be quite independent. Good luck with that. That kid has NO idea about the world and how it works and it is going to be some super hard lessons and heavy painful learning.

bruh its a 14-15 year old, no 14-15 year old is prepared to face the world alone lol, are you delusional, you…
you proved my point. Thank you.
First of all, you do NOT read, i.e. you do not listen. A person without listening skills should never think of having kids. If you do have kids, that is terrible, you are a dinosaur parent who does not listen and knows the best at all times and harasses those who disagree. That KILLS children. It traumatizes them.

Second, I never said the kid should face the world alone. Quite on the contrary, I said something 100% opposite and that is the core of my argument And you missed it - are you even literate????

SO I NOT GONNA WASTE MY TIME AND REPEAT MY POST. I WILL LET YOU READ IT PROPERLY and dont bother me anymore when you just speak without reading first. FAREWELL

Well I also recently watched KimChi Family from 2011 and that kdrama is totally egalitarian and very exemplary. FL is a very strong woman and she and ML treat each other well.

Right now I am watching It is Ok It's Love from 2014 and that one too has a lot of balance.

And in 2025, we had Dynamite Kiss, in 2026 The Practical Guide to Love, ... which are suuuuuper cheesy sexist and delulu reverse sexist trash.

So ... the year might not matter.

Sorry majority of women won't identify with the FL. FL's characterization and the acting seems off and the writing…
i m happy to hear that. I saw discussion groups for .. Practical Guide to Love, Dynamite Kiss, Boyfriend on Demand and other such ... cheesy romcoms so I was expecting the same here.
But if the audience watching this is somehow more mature, wow, that is great

Wow I started watching kdramas a little bit in 2019 and then during COVID I turned into a dedicated watcher lmao

Wow old kdramas are SO MUCH BETTER than new kdramas!!!!!!! This one is a masterpiece. I have seen all eps and this is wow kdrama, so complex, deep, sophisticated, bringing up all kinds of issues, this is a great social commentary - as usual, always expected of real kdramas...

Real kdramas are going extinct, fast, as Koreans and foreigners making money off Koreans are greedily trying to make $$$$$ by selling kdramas in the West and thus new kdramas are WHITEWASHED, super simplified, made bland, to not piss off anyone

Sad. THE GENOCIDE OF KDRAMAS IS IN FULL PROGRESS and I am afraid they t will be extinct soon. The new "kdramas" are not really kdramas, they are Kwood - shallow, shocking, without dialogues, without character arc, without humor and poking fun at stuff, without resolving it with warmth and compassion, individual and community efforts.

At this point I a watching old kdramas and skipping the new ones, and when I see the old ones... I will have nothing left to watch

I thought it good, not as good as It's Ok not to be ok, but good to watch the show. Again, if you are looking…
imo Its Ok Not to BeOk is just simplified whitewashed more "shock scenes" sensationalistic and a lot more shallow version of this drama
This drama is quite complex deep and sophisticated, and has amazing script and acting. I didnt see it all yet but so far it is a masterpiece

It's Ok Not to Be Ok is just Kwoood. The only memorable and quality thing was the disabled brother. I remember only him. Ah yes and the scene where ML grabs some pen or something and hurts himself to prove he means it, and I was thinking GEES THIS IS STUPID

For all people who were wondering what I was thinking - here it is:
Like Agent Kim drama airing now, ppl are just seeing fights and enjoying that, although the drama really is about a father who is so cemented inside that he cannot property communicate with his child, i.e. GUIDE and PROTECT and TRAIN his child, and thus he raised a child who is TOTALLY unprepared to face living in the world, a child without any common sense and life skillZ, a child who is essentially a dead weight, unable to contribute, and even harmful to themselves and their family and others.

That moron child did NOT tell anyone yet that NastyRichGirl was bullying her every day, and blackmailed her dad to risk their lives to stand up to RichDad.. That is entirely the fault of her cement father to neglect any communication with his child and produce such a space cadet. jumping off cliffs at every step.

Basically agent Kim drama is about the plight that most modern parents are having, bc nobody is raising the new generations. Left to themselves, growing like weeds, given only food and shelter without any training and guidance for life, they are totally lost. THAT is the root message of Agent Kim drama and the audience is unable to see it. The audience writes zillion comments about how great the fights are. ... That kind of audience must be cement parents like Agent Kim and left-alone kids like MJ, so that's why ppl are unable to see what is missing here.

This drama was very bland and shallow from the very beginning. Poker face ML and. FL here are rather simple and very whitewashed, and the drama is centered on her so women can watch and identify with her. Ok it was not terrible until ep 7-8, when it became childish trash, but it was super bland and slow and not memorable at all. LIKE WATCHING TWO ROBOTS. Nothing too different, contraversial, difficult, etc.
Koreans are trying to make money globally so they whitewashed kdramas to make them more appealing to ppl used to watching Hwood and other shallow western stuff.

Lately I skipped all new dramas and watched Fermentation Family, 2011 kdrama, and now am watching It is Ok It is Love, 2014 kdrama. Those are "real" kdramas, they are contraversial, they have rather balanced male-female roles, they expose issues and solve them in a very compassionate way. BUT MOST WESTERN AUDIENCE CANNOT WATCH THAT BC IT IS TOO DEEP.

Like Agent Kim drama airing now, ppl are just seeing fights and enjoying that, although the drama really is about a father who is so cemented inside that he cannot property communicate with his child, and thus he raised a child who is TOTALLY unprepared to face living in the world, a child without any common sense and life skillZ, a child who is essentially a dead weight, unable to contribute, and even harmful to themselves and their family and others. So everything is made shallow and Koreans and foreigners making money off Koreans make tons of money but the kdramas are going extinct. Cdramas have never been real, they are extremely hwoody. It is kdramas that are being genocided as we speak.

Very soon there wont be any kdrama good to watch, and when I finish watching old kdramas that are worth it, then I will just not watch.

Why are some hating the FL? I think this drama is for mature audience. The leads are in their 30s and whatever…
precisely bc this drama IS for mature audience and FL behaves like an elementary school kid, so FL script ruins the drama and makes it a drama for kids, not for mature audience
