Ep 1 was kinda full of plot holes. It got better after.
But... The only way is to keep watching until you are sure. The fact that I like it does not mean that you will like it.

Well FL's "reverse harem" adds spice to the story... Romance is a part of life and is unavoidable... Any of the characters can plunge into romance any time....

IF Mr. Right comes along, FL is likely to choose romance ... after her grand project is over LOL I think she is a little too busy right now LOL But remember how flattered she was when Al was hitting on her? Remember how dreamy she was around her ex' desk?

yeah the pacing is totally off for 12 episodes. This is paced to be at least 20 episodes. It is ep 9 and this is the first episode without yelling. The Fox is still pretty much clueless abd has not confessed yet. ML tried to kiss and then changed his mind. THey should turn this into a weekend drama or a daily LOL or at least 20-30 ep drama.

This is filmed as a 20-30 episode drama... at least ... I would say, 50 episode drama LOL
Ep 9 ended, and the Fox is still pretty much clueless and has not confessed yet. ML tried to kiss, got rejected, and then changed his mind. So at this rate... they need like 30 episodes at least. IF THE WRITER INTENDED THEM TOGETHER. Perhaps the writer wanted to say - Foxes are hopeless and just give up, we tried, it doesnt really work, ciao. OK then... but ... honestly.. .then I would not have watched the drama if I knew there would be no growth. I am expecting GROWTH. If they stay together or not, ok, but they gotta totally transform, from the caterpillar they gotta become butterflies, flying together or not. ... And the Fox is still crawling... I think ML transformed already. But he is stuck on the romance part, waiting for FL to transform enough to be a romantic partner ... The Fox is still waaay far from adequate......

Fox's growth is developing sooooo sloooooowly that there is no way this will end as them together at ep 12.... At best, they will be a little more friendly and will go back to their old selves OR continue as now ....

There is no way they will have a proper relationship by the end of ep 12. The Fox is getting slightly better but still too far from ready for a relationship... The Fox is still too arrogant bossy and too clueless about what is important - the Fox is really a mentally off character, let's say like an antisocial behavior person or autistic person or something like that - she is definitely NOT normal - and SoccerPlayer is still forced to wait for the Fox to become nice enough and stop biting and gnarling and gnashing her teeth, so that he can love her.... The Fox is soooo immature that it is hopeless... She is not even like a child... children know love... The Fox is... like a disabled person. She cannot work, she knows nothing about responsibility, she has no consideration for others, etc etc etc Occassionally she shows consideration now but she got a looooooong way to go... The scenes of her at work are really pathetic.... The scenes of her at Namsam are ... alarming red flags...

So.... this drama ends at ep 12 and ... Fox and SoccerPlayer are faaaaar from having a relationship and might just say goodbye.

The script kept the Fox as a cold distant arrogant for too long. The script writer thought that only the snide cold fox is funny and interesting ... but ... no thanks :) it is so jaring and harsh..... it is just unpleasant to watch for too long... I think what makes it even more unpleasant is that the Fox actress is sooo good in acting gnarly cruel, and Lomon is so good at acting a kind guy who gets beat up all the time by her, and then as a puppy in love who gets beat up over the head by her over and over again - e.g. the Fox at the Namsam date was so cruel!!!! - so the harshness is accentuated and is really like nails on the chalkboard. SHE KEEPS BITING AND SCRATCHING and he keeps bleeding, so it is just not pleasant to watch. Luckily it got less, but still.

The Fox is growing toooooo sloooooooooooowly.... It will take 20, 50 or 100 episodes to show the growth. So yeah, at this pace, let's say the first 9 episodes are wasted on the Fox being so cluelessly cold and cruel. And then she grows softer and stronger. OK we could live with that IF this was like 20-30 episode drama.

So yeah make a daily or a weekend drama out of this, if you really insist on indulging in the cluelessness and coldness of the arrogant immature Fox.

But the rule is: IF YOU WANT A ROM COM THEN BY ABOUT THE HALF OF THE DRAMA, THE COUPLE SHOULD CONFESS AND BE TOGETHER, then spend another quarter fighting all the problems and then spend the last quarter cleaning up and being together. So, what is ep 9 in this drama, should have been ep 4 or 5. Fox still has sooooo much to grow. SoccerPlayer unsuccessfully tried to kiss her and asked her to date as she is fighting it. And he has doubts too.
BC IT IS CLEAR SHE IS NOT READY AT ALL. She is like ... a handicapped child. Like an autistic child... So .... if the script writer INISISTS on that, then this is at least 20-30 episode drama.
Idol I drama did a pretty good job of proper pacing, imo.

bc SY is a lot better coach :) SY was in charge of top teams and this coach is a total total loser, the way he handles his team is totally stupid..... training, out of training, everything... Remember, he beat up SY and told him never to dare play, bc the coach was bribed to let another, lesser player, move on.

Someone posted that this drama has 1% rating in S Korea and lots of slutshaming FL for having a man, baby, AND work.. ??? that seems backwards. Totally.

This is one of the best dramas ever, it is very funny yet profound and meaningful.

Calling it "Baby propaganda" is actually totally skewed bc children are a part of life, just like seniors are. The world does not revolve around young adults - although young adults like to think that way LOL The world does not consist only of working-age adults....
So yeah I like to see children in a drama. Presence of children SHOULD BE totally normal. Seems like it has become a rare thing in S Korea and the West... so yeah those ppl are going extinct.
And seniors, who are now majority of population, are hidden, and dramas are about this small group of younger ppl.

My gosh where is your logic???? Does "having muscles" mean "you have to look like a bodybuilding champion"? HOW can you jump from one thing to a totally unrelated thing, just bc it fits your agenda? Where is your objective and logical thinking?

Everyone needs muscles and needs to be in shape. Everyone needs a functional STRONG body. Some people will be less strong and some more but everyone has to be healthy and strong enough to last through the day on their own, without any pills drugs alcohol etc.
This woman happens to be petite so her "strong" is very different of "strong" of a rugby player, but for her size and frame, she gotta pull her version of "strong"
BOTH CHIHUAHUAS AND ST BERNARDINE DOGS ARE "STRONG" IN THEIR OWN WAY. A little tiny chihuahua can run and jump and talks all the time, and is actually used as a guard dog, bc it barks at any noise. It is LIVELY although it is so small. yeah sure a chihuahua "long walk" is only several hundred meters, that is "strong" for the tiny doggie LOL but the doggie DOES run it and is fine.
So we want to see something like that in a human too. A lively strong run, appropriate for the size and frame. People are not sloths. People move.

Pfsk - glow? Are you blind? HAVE you seen real glow ever? that woman is pale and lifeless.... There is nothing in her face or body that says "I am vibrant and radiant and exuding energy." Real glow has some rosey in the cheeks and has some color in the face. Like, the person actually went outdoors, moved, breathed, sweated, ....

And as for fat shaming - that kind of malnourished lifeless "model" is on every front page of every magazine and in all fashion shows, BODY SHAMING THE WHOLE WORLD to be that malnourished starving skinny, and if you are not, you have to feel bad about yourself, and guilty, and spending TONS of money and time and effort to get that way or at least hide the fact that you are eating food. NO to any of that. It is destructive.

So overall, I do not detect any informed thinking here, so please, stop bothering me. I am too busy to explain to someone who doesnt care to think. Bye.

I was thinking a lot about Woo Ju. The way the kid is portrayed is so .. revolutionary. I really love how they show him observing, talking and expressing his opinions... He is a smart cutie :) and it goes a lot deeper than just that. This idea that the parents are TALKING with the kid as an active participant and someone who has a say. Notice that Woo Ju never ever is allowed to dictate anything nor does he try.... . He is just asked for opinion. And he offers his opinion when something is really bothering him LOL and it is always for a good reason...

Woo Ju is shown as an entity of his own, with his own mind and emotions, and actively participating - he observes and reads the room and knows what is going on....
So: this drama portrays ****children as active participants in family, who have their say and who can be reasoned with.**** It is very remarkable. This is totally revolutionary according to the traditional upbringing where kids are more like furniture that the parent OWNS and arranges as they wish - including marriage, etc.

The drama is very deep. It is about what it means to be a good parent. That's deep. It is about a self-centered young person growing up enough to take care of a baby and earning a livelihood. Also, it shows this young female parasite who was always getting handouts from her family, finally stand up on her own two feet. That is remarkable. It is very "feminist" in many ways. It is empowering for all women.
Also it shows this young male who is a very caring and active dad. It shows what a good dad is. Kids in the past did not have good dads, they had robots who ordered them around and did not interact much. So this new type of father is very revolutionary too.
Also, it shows that taking care of a baby is not such a big deal, which is true. It is a big deal and also is not :)
(Unfortunately, it shows kindergarden as a nice place - well... it very likely is not :) I would rather hire an ahjuma or adjushi to take care of the baby...)

So overall, this is an AMAZING drama in so many ways.
I really like it a lot.
Minus some details LOL I want FL to eat, have some muscles on her and be energetic, lively and strong.
I love acting of ML actor, he is just amazing
and I totally adore Woo Ju :)

They feel it some, but they are too busy right now. It will hit them later, when they finally have some time to breathe. Right now it is survival mode, she got a new job, he got a new job and his apartment got flooded, they both got Woo Ju and each other.... once it all settles, then .... it is going to hit them. ML had no connection to his brother... but he has trauma from his brother... and FL is gonna miss her sister.

You mean Koreans are putting those comments? Are those comments by men or women or both? What age? This is so intriguing to see what Korea is really like - soooo sexist. That explains all those sexist kdrama plots....

I dont see any of such slutshaming comments here, bc we are all international audience and esp if we are from the West we are like omg this drama is super chaste LOL yay! To me everyone in this drama is totally exemplary :)

And probably most ppl cannot afford to be stay at home mom, and/or do not have a husband willing to foot all the bills. I doubt any young male is willing to 100% support wife and kids :) And if everyone is not eating properly adn is malnourished, then .. babies are the last thing on their mind. They probably do not have enough energy to last through the day anyways....

And that is too sad bc S Koreans are gonna go extinct if they keep doing this. S and N will HAVE to unite to prevent Koreans from going extinct..... and this is for real. Korea officially has the lowest birth rate globally....

I didnt see Sun episode yet but it seems like FL went on a picnic with Woo Ju and SML and that is a no-no - Woo Ju associates the ML as his "dad" so introducing this new guy who flirts with his "mom" is very traumatizing to Woo Ju... Kids are energetic sponges and Woo Ju knows *** everything*** happening to his "mom and dad".....
So yeah I can see why you think the audience is slutshaming FL for THAT PICNIC ..... they do have a point :)
I would not be slutshaming her, bc that is not a slut behavior, but I would say that she is irresponsible and clueless, and is abusing the kid, taking the kid to places where she flirst with another guy, totally new to Woo Ju. Woo Ju is gonna be confused. She is stringing both guys.
If she wants to flirt with both guys, she can - I would not call her slut unless she sleeps with them, but she isnt - I would call her a PLAYER, a snowflake, and a slimey person who strings multiple guys. SHE IS FREE TO DO THAT WITHOUT THE KID. But taking the kid on her flirt escapades is NOT ok.

Well, I dropped Graceful Liar bc it turned into a cesspool .... ... and I dropped Our Golden Days bc the plot was ... an advertisement for donating organs... and the lively side plots died for the sake of that advertisement... I dropped For Eagle Brothers - it started good but by ep 20 it was clear that nothing was happening... I loved Iron Family until the very end when it became nonsense....

I liked Queen's House after ep 30 LOL I like the daily First Man, I am a fan of that FL actress now. Otherwise, I do not qualify as a dailies watcher....
and I like Recipe for Love. Many actors who are KBS weekend drama staples are in it and having a role that is a lot more complex and more fun to watch than in the earlier weekenders, which were mostly disappointing.
Recipe for Love is very very very .... interesting :)

Watch it and decide. Ep 1 will give you a good taste of it.

Sorry for length I was just rambling on, I have no time to polish this

Our Golden Days had potential but imo totally went off.... It was supposed to be a great commentary on unemployment, seniors having to work, women's rights, women at work force, women in relationships, jerky blind males coming to their senses, about family conflict and sacrifices, what do parents owe to their kids, what do kids owe to their parents, about reconciling parents and children, stern idiotic proud fathers, bad mothers, criminals, what do adopted childrren owe to their real and surrogate parents, friendship, etc etc etc, etc. IT HAD GREAT POTENTIAL as it raised sooo many relevant issues..... and them imo flopped. The script did not present the issues well, FL could not act, ML/FL were practically the only ones on the screen - and the moron cemented Dad - and the filming made it too draggy...

It was very ... rough. It was so ... harsh, macho, lots of melodrama, all miscommunications, ... Bad script... FL on the screen a lot and cannot act... .The Father on the screen a lot as a totally clueless poker faced cemented old geezer closed mind character... ML a lot on the screen as a jerk....

Our Golden Days made some mistakes.. it had just a few actors and focused mostly on ML and FL on the screen but then it gave awful script to ML and made him a jerk for too long, and FL actress was just TERRIBLE in acting... Also, since ML and FL were on the screen a LOT and the drama used the other characters as just fluff and rarely showed them... they were kinda really on the side - the drama got really bogged down. FL was on the screen so much and had nothing to offer... she was sooo boring... her acting is terrible... and ML had a terrible script so his time on the screen was mostly wasted - first he was a harsh rude jerk, then he was this grown man who behaved like a teenager when he first discovers hormones, which was rather .. weird... waste of talent for that actor... then we had ... liver donation.. then heart donation... then forbidding a grown daughter to date someone bc she was supposed to live well and free - but her family bogged her down for like 30 yrs while they paid hospital bills of some drunken grandpa who could care less and kept smoking drinking etc and smooching for his medical bills...

then we as audience complained and then side stories took over and that was a breath of fresh air. The 2 side couples and the villain mom saved the drama!!!!!

And this is not the first time! In 3 Bold Siblings, Mi Young and the youngest sister took over the drama since FL was 100% terrible in acting omg. ML tried so hard but she was a piece of CEMENT.

So I think KBS learned the hard way and put lots of characters and stories into this new drama :)

This new drama has MANY characters and MANY plots going on at the same time... so it is very diverse and dynamic....

And Mi Young is back LOL as a hillarious character lol

The new drama has humor, and Our Golden Days had NONE. That is one of the main differences.

The issues in the new drama are serious too but there is humor as well.
Also, new drama has plenty complex / shady characters..... it is quite an entangled family
