yeah... me too. I got too busy to watch and fell behind, and I never felt like going back to check it... it is ok drama but nothing special. There is always stuff happening and it is quite busy and chaotic but it lacks DEPTH

I am into physical fitness and I watch lots of videos from Chinese side of the world and also India. There are TONS super healthy and very old Chinese, doing amazing things, from simple exercises to severe 6 pack acrobatic workouts... . Thanks to tai chi, kung fu, good food, etc.
I have to say, yoga practitioners from India look the most glowey and happy, they are just RADIANTLY SMILEY and their complexion is incredibly amazing. They got baby skin and look so vitrant and radiant, and they SMILE naturally, they look at peace and happy, they literally glow

Well then if you watch REALLY carefully, you can get so much out of it! there are sooo many characters and stories and places here!!!! I feel like I need to rewatch to catch all the details :) Like... our conversation really made me want to rewatch the scenes between tv producer and FL's mom.

That's true, Grandma has some good qualities too. She is not entirely a moron. She is a complex character, a well meaning person with flaws - her main flaw is "making peace" by covering everything up, hush hushing it... forcing peace... forcing ppl to SAY they want peace but not doing anything to resolve the grudges.. basically shallow sweeping under the rug for the sake of pretenses...
Perhaps FL mom and dad will work it out - if something drastic happens bc so far they did nothing to save their marriage.
But the running-away-wife. Paco Nacho, and kids pair are going to force some changes :)

Hm I have lived in the USA and Europe and to me this is 2026 series :) For one, the hairstyles of the men and women, the clothing, the cars, the buildings and interiors, etc..
Right now, kdrama women all have long wavey hair... and both men and women have lots of bleached hair...
the the suits - the colors and styles of the suits and the fashions they are wearing...
then ... promoting rural areas and granny chic charm - Koreans recently discovered that kdramas are a great boost to rural and seacoast tourism and exports of produce... and probably want their own people to move out of Seoul and into the countryside...

Traditional markets and general gentrifications of urban Seoul are also current topics - the issues they fought for at the market.... th shopping mall, younger buyers, ..

So everything in this kdrama is 2026....

and yeah weekend dramas are for Korean audience and lots of old timers, bc weekend family dramas have been on FOREVER lol and entire family would watch them... incl older generations...

but this kdrama is definitely 2026

And as for the topic - well this is about everyday people. not some chaebols thriller... Thank god. I had enough of chaebol thrillers LOL Rich ppl live in more luxury so those images and topics may look more "contemporary" to you.

I think the topic of ORDINARY PEOPLE is what makes you think it is 1990s, bc recent kdramas are mostly about some exceptional ppl like chaebols or thugs

As for filming - yeah it is not the most cutthroat filming techniques like I saw lately with "lcamera ooking up" shots, assymmetrical shots, etc but it LOOKS quite modern and "flowing" and well done,

Since you insist it is filming tecniques, I am curious now to learn about this, so I might watch 1990s drama just a bit to find out what you are talking about.. I too have no idea about filming...

FL's father doesnt care about his wife. He did not want her to move back.... They are practically divorced. Sure he would bag her if she lets him, but that is more about cooling himself off rather than loving her... he dislikes her.... and could care less about her. He is very flippant...

And I am not sure of her reasons, but she is 10000% hypocrite and a fake..... she is a slimey snake who is running away from her husband, yet too coward to divorce him.

I cannot stand the Grandma for forcing them to stay married for the sake of exterior appearances. To me, Grandma is a solid MORON

That's good!!! you have something to look forward to :)
and something to think about - there are so many details that are mysterious... or clues.... if you binge watch, you lose the details... I know, been there, done that :) with old dramas.

With currently airing dramas, it is a LOT more fun to watch a little and REALLY PAY ATTENTION, then read the comments, think about it, write some comments and questions, understand the drama better, ...

This helps the quality of the dramas... if this drama is all out today, then what are you gonna watch tomorrow... ? Then the production company would have to make another drama, and then it is too much, the plots and characters would be sooo dilluted, it would be 'copy and paste" and soooo boring and/or so cheap - like short verticals...

So - high quality dramas need some effort to make, so .. wait :)

I think spreading the drama also helps the drama, bc then the advertisers have more chance to advertise, so they are more likely to invest.

I thought that was an amazing lesson in karma.. If she had called him.. then she would have been ahead of the game on her husband too....

Your country is a huge place, and very socially, culturally, and environmentally diversified, so it is entirely possible that "your" space there is a little ... too modern :) In other words, it is quite likely you are living in some very wealthy world :) It is something for you to reflect upon :)

I am impressed with Paco Natcho's clever strategies - the Korea house was a great thing for him to "feel his home" again after so many years away, and also to escape the evil Boss and also to build a team with his coleagues and a personal team with FL -

to create an isolated environment where he would be in FL's face and totally show himself off and have many chances to spend close time with her, get to know her, get her to know him, and get under her radar and up close and personal .... and also, to have his coleagues adore him too - and yeah, he SUCCEEDED.

Very smart man!!!!! He is not a coward as some accuse him of, he is a great strategist, a FANTASTIC businessman and a leader, a GREAT considerate lover who is setting up very clever traps and ... succeeding :) SMART SMART SMART MAN!!!!! And very handsome too. And very nice too :) They will be happy ever after - even in Argentina if their families are against it LOL

IT IS ONLY THE TWO WIVES WHO ARE STUCK :) and I think Bucket's wife is stuck bc Bucket still has feelings for the Psychologist...... and why is the Psychologist stuck.... hm... ?

I am curious where you live - but please do not feel obliged to answer it, it is more a question to you to answer to yourself...... . The drama looks totally like TODAY in a "typical" westernized place with leftovers of the traditional culture.

Easily - once or twice a week, turn your "tv" on and watch 2 episodes of the drama :)
