Beak Ho is amazing! It is a very sincere and honest, helpful character, who has been saving lives of JM's family. The actor is so handsome and so natural in the role, I really cannot see the actor, it is all Baek Ho. He is one of my favorite characters in this drama. ANd I LOVE scenes with him and Jang Mi as Jang Mi lol. When they almost kissed, it was one of the best scenes ever.
I think without Seo Rim, the drama would get super dull and boring and without Baek Ho, it will get too cold and distant. He is the warmth in this drama.
ANd Suk Hee. Her and Tok Hee meeting made me cry.

Hm.... then you missed... Undercover HighSchool, Haunted Palace, One night with the Duke, Idol I, Spring Fever, Our Universe, .... is what I can think of from the top of my head. Really funny and meaningful. Seemingly fluffy and silly, but deep. No Tail to Tell is also pretty good..... I like Positively Yours, actually.... Ah, almost forgot, Undercover Miss Hong... a masterpiece... I count there also My Dearest Nemesis bc it has excellent communication between the leads and very clear messages of an equal relationship. ..... and even somewhat the Potato Lab although a totally cheesy drama it redeems itself in ep 11 when they are stuck in the freezer and start communicating in a very deep way and everything transforms

"overbearing CEO and weak trepid dumb damsel in distress" is the cliche that is based on sexism... and is one of the few faults of kdramas so far. Cframas have plenty of it too :) and even worse :) On some days I am able to keep my mouth shut and just roll my eyes - and drop out LOL and on some days - I cannot LOL that means that the drama is trash and I am dropping asap or that I like the drama and do not want to see it ruined, like in this case. This drama is actually on the right track - they are using tropes as "bait" but never really following up on them.... the messages of this drama are quite positive and forward, actually... so the drama is kinda satisfying mysogenic audience by giving them what they are used to, and then charting new territory, swimming into new waters...
Kdramas dont have serious violence, no cheesy s.x content, and they have excellent plots, very creative stories and acting, generally very positive messages and healthy lifestyles and sophisticated dialogues and relationships, .... ...... so overall, I take a kdrama as still the best possible entertainment globally at the moment. It beats western style stuff bar FAR. I havent watched anything western for maaaany years now :)
So this kdrama sexist flaw is ... well... a flaw that is slowly going away. It is clear that Korea is a super sexist society. Asia generally is .... Well, every single place on Earth is sexist.... LOL it is just it is more obvious some places... In the USA, it is completely slimey hidden.... you gotta look like a Barbie doll and offer your s.x charms but on the other hand you have to be a prude and a super housewife... it is super ... confused, hypocritical, double standard impossible ....
Si yeah... when you watch Asian dramas, be aware of this damsel in distress trope... it is just the easiest wat to generate lots of plot - FL is dumb and she keeps on making mistatekse sand ML keeps saving her... even a kid can write a script like that.... soooo cheap!!!!! so ... why not, if the audience will take it... Cheap audience likes cheap jokes about dumb women.
So anyways, if we the audience do not find that entertaining - then... there will be a lot less of that :)

Until ep 9, it had lots of elements of old school kdrama ... but somewhat better bc ML is at least a decent person... and FL script was in and out of "old school" dramas ..... So Ep 9 is like a roller coaster betwen old school drama where FL is a dumbo damsel in distress.. and then NOT ... and then again dumbo .. and then NOT.... luckily it ended on the positive and truly 21st century note - they resolved it as it should be resolved, by telling the truth.
So from mid ep 9, it took a turn into truly 21st century and we have TWO EQUAL ADULTS IN A REAL RELATIONSHIP where things are talked through and both help each other. And if they make mistakes, they fix them.
So - what a cute pair! there were cute from the start as new baby parents, but now they are very admirable too as a pair with a great relationship and communication. Fighting!
The thought that kept repeating in my head was - I WISH THE REPORTERS AND PUBLIC WOULD BE SO ADAMNANT ABOUT GOING AFTER CORRUPTION AND OTHER BAD STUFF - but first, research ... !!! get your facts right....

The old school FL behavior is sooooooooooooooooooo BORING!!!! the classic dumbo, always upset and anxious, always damsel in distress doing something majorly stupid and not knowing how to get out of that situation, needing help.
HELLO!!! THAT IS BORING!!!!! SO FOR THE EDUCATION OF THE FILMING CREW: THIS IS 21ST CENTURY AND WOMEN ARE NOT THAT DUMB ANYMORE - we hope at least... I was expecting FL to have a miscarriage any moment, she is suffering a lot in every scene!
This is not as bad as Dynamite Kiss, or WOuld you Marry me, where FL was a trepid liar snowflake that bailed at the slightest whim. At least this FL is more dedicated and rational and stronger. But ... not enough yet. I loved her scenes with SML, telling him she will take care, in ep 9. That was amazing acting, for both on them. SO I WANT TO SEE MORE OF **** THAT ****. ANd I dont want to see one more scene with FL being anxious, scared, surprised, etc. I am not sure who you think watches this drama, but we are not stupid and we dont want to waste time watching stupid people.
It is super extra boring to watch a female actress ALWAYS WITH PAIN AND ANXIETY ON HER FACE. It is just sick. I am bored and worried for her health. CUT IT OUT. ASAP.
ML script and acting is fine. SML is acting superb.
How ML-FL met and talked in the car is the kind of stuff we need to see more. Real communication. On all levels.
FL actress is absolutely capable of acting like that, like a grown woman on her feet and able to reason through things and communicate and express herself on so many levels, NOT ONLY anxiety fear and shock, how she talked with SML after ep 9 thing was extremely powerful, so you should utilize her full range of expressibility and make the drama richer and more complex.
THEN THE WHOLE STORY REPEATS WITH DO JUN'S MOTHER BEING STUPID - HELLO!!! how is that woman a chaebol wife for like 40 yrs - she should be a lot more savvy... It is hard to believe such stupid women exist at such high level - she should be a fox, not a sheep

Then... ML resolves it as it should be resolved. Nothing beats the truth. That is the solution to everything :) very simple... And it keeps going on in good communication - THAT is an interesting plot!!! bc it is a lot more complex and rich and interesting. A lot more diverse and twisty plot :) The sky is the limit... there is no more tropes... as everyone can say what is truly on their heart and mind, ..... you can never predict what they will say and where that will go...
