yeah, Genie was total and complete trash, I dropped it instantly, it looks like someone on drugs filmed it, so chaotic and bombastic, total Hollywood trash

its personality of a teenager or a very young person :) realistically those are the ppl who vote the most online. ALSO, there are tons of trolls. Accounts made just to kill the competition

Perhaps depends on air time? Bc it is Lunar year - so maybe dinner time OR late night dramas get affected

Exactly!!!!! ppl already caught some ppl who made an account just to spread hate. This drama is all right. Could be better, given the actors are pretty good, so hopefully it improves

Exactly. This might not be the global masterpiece drama but it is a pretty good drama, and it is funny and has warm moments, and some deep messages.
The leads arent really into each other but hopefully that will improve too

I didnt see those two but I liked My Roommate is a Gumiho. It had profound messages about transforming from someone who gains attention by sexual charms to someone who stands on their own and does not vampire energy from others

That's the point - let your love simmer deeper.... gives you time to reflect

And what is it that Al knows? I have a feeling he knew that FL's true identity looong time ago.... since that company dinner in a very early episode ... since he saw the sand clocks, he also knows CEO and FL are related too

Who says that something has to happen to SR? She will be under fire as her "mom" will try to kill her but I think she is smarter than JM and hopefully can avoid it. Keep our fingers crossed! I am more concerned about JM messing up her swap

I was thinking a lot about this daily and I think the captivating factor here is that the drama looks totally real. Actors are really INTO IT, as if they were really those characters and these were just scenes from their daily lives. (well the Chef gotta get there too, he yanks me out of the story, but everyone else is already there). Even the golddiggers. They are hilarious :) and Chairman is sooooo shrewd....

After thinking a lot about what makes a drama so captivating, it is really how much the actors are into it, how "honest" they are about being in their role and not just pretending they are something, but BEING their character. When they are soooo "as if they are the character" then we the audience automatically get pulled into the story.

I have no formal training in acting or making films/dramas or scripts, only the intro class in Improv Comedy, so everything I am saying is not technical, it is basically from my observations...

I just notice, when an actor is ... determined? I dont know how to describe it - DETERMINED to be that character, really INSISTING on being that character, FULLY COMMITTED to BEING that character, something magical happens bc you are automatically pulled in to watch them.
So in this drama I get that from Seo Rim and now from Jang Mi too, from Baek Ho and from CEO Chae, who makes my skin crawl the second I see her or she opens her mouth LOL she is very real to me LOL her hypnotizingly overly sweet bs is just .... like an emergency alarm to me LOL she pushes all my buttons as DANGER!DANGER!DANGER! lol lol lol

I think the key for me is the FL actress, who is just super convincing and really fun as Seo Rim, and in the latest episodes, quite convincing as Jang Mi too. JM is not so dull anymore, so she seems more like a real person rather than someone trying to act as a dumb person LOL
Plus, after meeting SR, JM is now getting woke :) and almost kissed Baek Ho.... :) That scene was sooo cute and so real. Baek Ho is so real, too. In fact, I think that is one of the key things, he seems real. He is on the screen a lot and making the drama look real bc he looks so natural. I am sure you know someone like Baek Ho. "the good guy next door", or family, friend or colleague That actor is really making that role seem real and "familiar". I never saw the actor. I only see Baek Ho. To think if it, that is an amazing actor, totally totally camouflaged. For FL, I know it is an actress but I am sooo sold out on her role. For her, it is like I am agreeing that she leads me down the path of the story. I know it is an actress but she says "watch me!" and is leading us down the lane and showing us stuff and it is all as if real. That is a great skill too...

For the murderer criminals, since most of us do not know any murderers personally - I hope!!!! the criminals are harder to imagine but CEO Chae and her lapdog are pretty convincing. I am now rethinking what I just said bc I DO know sweettalking lying snakes like CEO Chae and I know some of their misdeeds and now I wonder - how many ppl they killed LOL and what I do not know.... Actually....

after meeting SR, JM got a lot more ... spunky :) and almost kissed wtih Baek Ho, that scene was soooo cute!!!
First I thought it was already Seo Rim impersonating JM, so I was like whaaat - you stealing a kiss from her guy?? but then I realized it was a lot braver, more confident and realistic JM, who was NOT AFRAID nor holding back anymore. Yay, JM!!!!

Seo Rim as Jang Mi is gonna be subject to murder, and Baek Ho too... But .. Seo Rim is smarter than JM so hopefully she will evade the murder attempts even if BH doesnt protect her

Yes she became softer and Albert became more ... serious. Ep 10 had scenes with Albert's mean face and I was scared lol
Albert was smiling at Nora as if he likes her, Nora is a good pair for him. But arent they related...? Nora's mom is wife of Chairman. Albert is son of Chairman's daughter. But tehre is always adopted, cheaters, etc... so ..

Oh I forgot that - what happened with his mom? She was ... killed? So that's why Albert has to keep pretending he is a moron

I am not sure yet if Albert ***can*** take "the high voltage" that FL is... she has integrity and doesnt budge. Albert looks for roundabout ways that cause no trouble. BUT for a good reason - they are trying to kill him. Right now a killer is tailing him for real.
So I think Albert pretended all his life to be an idiot and not bring attention to himself as a possible competition. BUT NOW THE COMPETITION IS FOR REAL SO yeah Albert will have to come out of his pretenses asap

And so I think we will find what kind of person Albert really is

ML can take the high voltage but I am not sure he wants to.... . ML is sooooo ... soooooo .... murky.... . So far, he is unsuitable.
I had some suspicion ML is undercover special agent, in any case, he is actively engaged in criminal activities, and I now have suspicion he is just a plain old FINANCIAL CRIMINAL
