we don't know what happened yet after DYX went to the Yu minister's house. It seems he has a secret birth story because his mother is not his biomom and it seems his true birth parents are "rich". With the cunning and intellect he has shown in the previous eps, i believe he has already figured this out. But i just don't know why he is so dejected with his future with Shou hua he must have discovered something big and don't wanna drag her into it.

right. at first I thought Qiongnu was treated like a cousin, but later on it's apparent she's more like a sister. turns out aside from being an adoptive daughter to madam Li, they have already treated her like a future sister in law. That's why the only son of Li family drowned, just to save her. They have an affection ever since they were kids. And she's closest to Kangning before K married off.
My no-evidence, nonsense wild theory is that he is the Emperor 😅
ah hahaha. no. there's a totally different guy in the character map, just linked to Madam Li, aside from her husband who died young. I think that's the lost son. He also appears in other previews and it seems tense between him with the Li family. It seems the lost twin of Kangning will be Qiong Nu's future intended. (wink).
The Li family's only son is still alive i think. They thought he drowned but no body was found. Big possibility he was rescued and is living somewhere. and fun fact, Kangning is his twin. *just noticing these details after rewatching the previous eps

i agree. i almost forgot the whole 1-10 eps were about Kangning and Chai An. Shou Hua and Du Yangxi's arc is equally as riveting and yet the 2nd and 3rd couples are still visible in the scenes here and there but everything is really now about the couple in focus. I love that each sister's story is a different flavor, 3rd couple - enemies to lovers, 1st couple - marriage first before love. I don't know how to put the 2nd couple to words because they've never been on focus ever - but maybe, a foolish husband and domineering wife. Yet now it just seems like Fu Hui was experiencing pregnancy mood swings as the series started (hence her bullying her husband and him fearing her) they love each other.
i really resolved to that he is an ugly person because of his role in the Double.
