up. i wanna be clarified on this

the fact that Chai An is now an official son-in-law and not just a meddler to his cousin's wife's family matters is sending me. he even acts as the executive branch of the in-law support system of the Li's. mind that even in ep 4, he has already schooled the future 5th son-in-law.

Just finished watching the 8 episodes. Seems like it’s closed for 1 season. Tied up all loose ends. somehow, if Baek Kang Hyuk would marry someone in the future, it’s most likely be Cheon Jang Mi. Shes the gangster he’s the boss hahaha

this should be cleared by ep 11. i knew there was a hidden scene before the wedding.
the Lady Du surely talked both madams to setup the fortunate wedding that happened in ep 10. that's why when Chai An found that his mother caused a ruckus at the Li's with the betrothal gifts, and he rushed to Du Yangxi to apologize, Du Yangxi was smiling, because he knows somethings up with the 3rd miss and Chai An. who wouldn't when the guy asked him to win a contest just to foil getting potential son-in-law? He knows...

since the first and second miss are already married. she's next in line.
and they're not playing to become old maids,
as was mentioned in the show, if they were planning to get a virtuous and good husbands, their best bet would be on the soon to be officials. and those are the scholars who come for tea to their store.
but they're on a time table, their standards for women would only go up after they have already passed the exam and the Li's would have no chance against high ranking noble ladies. So they need to snatch up the good men, while they are still undiscovered, hence, the literary contest for a son in law, before the exams. Hence the rush. and 20 year old is already considered old during those times.

it's not nonsense actually - if you look at it as the social norms that really happened in the past.
that's why authors like Jane Austen prosper until now, because women had so much to suffer for marriage and family life since time immemorial, and they need to be appreciated.
i could only read about such stories from books before, but now I could just watch it and enjoy. and be in awe. i like the costumes and many other things as well. :) this is why we love cdramas.

and for now the 4th and 5th have less hair accessories because of the same reason, they're young and still unmarried. from the previews, already showing their love arcs, they have very different hairs.

don't hope too much on that.
breakups and misunderstanding add spice to the story.
but you can bet on it, all the 5 couples will have happy endings. happy wife and happy life.

i just convincing myself to think that she deserves it for the domestic abuse she done herself to her poor husband. domestic abuse wife-to-husband is not a joke either.
I bet the kidnapping fiasco is just their version of couple pranks.
hoping they get better as a couple in the next episodes.

I think the mother has a beautiful love story to be told... you can't have Li Yun Rui as a younger version of the husband without an epic love story to support it lol.
