After all the scheming and push -pull, the long awaited marriage comes. One down, Four more to go
the second sister is already married to her man. or maybe they'll have an almost divorce arc. for sure it will still end up with a happy ending. they have daughter in the trailer already.

Finally the wedding is on ep. 10. What are they going to encounter in the next 26 episodes?
the main leads will become the supportive leads. HAHAHHA

Title Perfect Match Spoiler
I honestly didn't expect a wedding for the main leads in the 10th episode
me too. but upon ep 9, i knew it. Kangning and Chai An will be like that first couple from Bridgerton. there are still 3 or 4 stories? to go. and as they are the main leads, it's quite interesting how they'll be "supportive" leads throughout the rest of the episodes. pun intended.

the top left is the foster daughter, she doesn't get counted as part of the "5 Li sisters" but is treated as part…
and I love that they have established the background story of the adoptive daughter somehow. the actress is not an unknown face in cdramas. so i was really expecting her story to have depth somehow and they delivered it.
turns out, she was rescued by the family as a young girl with nothing. i thought she was a cousin who grew up with them. maybe she gets a good match too by the end? or she's bound to accompany the Li matriach, whatever works. but not a snakey sister i hope.

Hello! I am enjoying this comedy/satire a lot and this discussion has got me thinking. A smattering of spoilers…
i'm an austen fan so this show is for me. and I watched it. i was not expecting it to be Austen like, and since I have Austen knowledge, hahaha it feels like i'm getting easter eggs as I am watching Perfect Match. like my two favorite things in the world Cdramas and Pride and Pejudice just fell in love and made a baby = Perfect Match.

i'm happy i'm not the only one seeing this! as much as my happiness that they've finally created a chinese version…
please toxic masculinity, misogyny, those terms are modern but at the same time really happened in the past unfortunately. What, do they want a bridgerton type of show? where equality existed in the past? that's fantasy. The show is called Perfect Match because these 5 couples from one maternal family were perfect matches for their time. This is not a heavy drama, or wuxia, or fusion or xianxia.
I felt like im reading a storybook based on the olden times, 5 different love stories that have minimal connections. the first story just concluded, we still have 4 to go. All about marriages in imperial china and amongst common folk, not much royalty/politics involved. But about merchants, scholars and simple maidens. This is a folk story.
I just can't with those people exerting modern values to real customs in the past. maybe they try with a time period closer to 2025, or a time travel show.

yes and the 5 sisters too.ep 9 he finally did the most Darcy thing ever, ask for her love while insulting her…
i guess the sunrise scene happened already (they sort of mixed up the order of events ), it's the after the kidnapping scene. when she confronted him upon receiving the first marriage proposal.
the "conditions" scene...?

and don't you just love that they have their own place to talk with each other. That doorway. hahaha. for me it's deep. during that time, men and women cant be seen alone together, but they have this loophole. she's technically inside her gate and he's outside the gate, but they are talking to and facing each other. it's just so romantic and novel-like

I think The eldest sister is the smartest one, the best schemer
she has been through so much.
the other sisters amazed me when they act so united and even if they have their own personalities and opinions, by the end of the day, they follow their mother and listen to the eldest. it's because they know what the family has been through.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife - Austen

damn right, it is universal. i just kept imagining before that the events that happened in Pride and Prejudice could have so happened to a family somewhere in historical China. This plot is universal and Austen is a genius. slow clap.

and if i may add.. maybe not really a chinese version. this is a series, obviously they'll introduce more to the plot. but nobody can deny that if not P&P what else could inspire this work.
and it's not like they are just copying, this show just needs to happen inevitably because Imperial china has so much similarities to the social norms of Regency.

Pride, prejudice feature prominently in this drama and cause endless mayhem. Those familiar with Jane Austin's…
i'm happy i'm not the only one seeing this! as much as my happiness that they've finally created a chinese version of Austen's greatest novel.

yes. the ending was just a extension hook for possible sequels but they pretty much wrapped up everything before the open ending.
